This was a very fun place! Family friendly. The shakes were delicious. I got a small cookie dough shake, and my one addition to it would be a little more cookie dough chunks in it because they were so good! I also got the Malibu chicken sandwich. It was kind of like fried chicken. Their burgers and sandwiches are very saucy. Every burger/sandwich comes with a side, so i chose the side salad. Be sure to ask for the raspberry vinaigrette! I've had Chubby's Carolina pulled pork sandwich several times over the years, and it used to be reasonably good. As both a South and North Carolina native, I can assure you their current "Carolina" pulled pork is anything but. The pork has been bathed (like, steeped in a crockpot bathed) in a horribly sweet red sauce (definitely NOT of Carolina origins) and then, to add insult to injury, topped with more of the sweet red sauce. When I questioned the servers as to whether I was just given the wrong sandwich, I was assured it was a Carolina pulled pork sandwich because ... it has slaw??? Nope. To be fair, this is probably a decent UTAH pulled pork sandwich, although the sweetness made me sick. But, please, let's call it what it is. Or bring back the old version. I like the scones. My wife likes the beer-battered fries. We both like the hamburgers, but I would be perfectly happy with just the scones. Chubby's lives up to its name in that if you eat there, you definitely become chubby. It's certainly a greasy dive, and nobody should go there expecting anything other than above average greasy deliciousness. However, I fully believe that the scones are high enough quality to belong in a much fancier restaurant. read more

Chubby's is a family favorite! There is a great variety of burgers, BBQ sandwiches, salads and sides. Truly, something for everyone! The owners are usually on site making sure everything runs smoothly and only quality food is served. Chubby's is a fabulous place for large family gatherings. The Pleasant Grove location has a great back room for groups. Among my favorite menu items are the Carolina BBQ, the Chubby Cheese Steak and every burger they iffer. The beer battered fries are to die for. I like extra crispy. And, they make a mean fry sauce. My one problem is that after eating my meal, I am too full to eat a homemade scone. They are delicious! Sometimes we order scones to take home, but they are truly best when fresh in house. When we have out-of-town guests, we take them to Chubby's. This place has never failed us! read more

A wide variety of food, most of it good. The ambience is a western theme with music playing in the background. You order your food cafeteria style, then you find a table that fits your needs. If you bought a soda or water, you can fill your cup on your own. About 5 minutes later a beautiful young lady will bring your food to you. The food I like is always hot and delicious. Man, it is burger world out here. Chubby's has that rustic burger joint feel, but that is part of the charm of dining here. All the food here is great. I especially liked the cheese steak burger and the hush pups. jalapeño burger with those beer battered fries were also off the hook. My daughter really enjoyed her kids meal. Despite having well-sized, delicious, well-cooked burgers, I thought some of the sides were average (macaroni, mashed potatoes). My boyfriend and I Have always been big fans of chubbys cafe. This last time we went he got a chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich. which is one of his favorites. After a bite or two he noticed something different with the sandwich. The chicken was not the same. The chicken was very tough and rubbery and didn't taste like their usual delicious chicken. We both didn't even finish our meal and threw the rest of the food in the trash and left. We won't be dining there anymore unfortunately. read more
