My husband brought me here for my first time after we had bought our car from Tim Dahle Ford back in January. It's one of his favorite places in Utah County. He came with his best friends a few times during their Guys' Nights Out. I'm a Southern girl, so I went with the Pulled Pork and Hush Puppies (and the hush puppies reminded me of the way I had them as a kid). It did not disappoint! It was late when we came for dinner, but it didn't look like anything special outside, but i appreciated the setup inside. They had live music as well. It was pretty busy for the time of night we came in, but the food came quickly!

So we came in about an hour before close today and tried the the mango habanero chicken sandwich and beer battered fries. The fries were not beer battered really at all but the manager explained they changed suppliers and were trying out new ones so I understood that. They were not very crisp but again it was near closing time. The sandwich was interesting had good flavor and plenty of crunchy pickles I was hoping for crisper slaw to match the pickles but there was not very much on it. The sandwich is very messy which I don't mind at all but sadly the chicken was not really fried like you would expect it was kind of like ordering chick-fil-a then driving home waiting a little bit then eating it so it's kind of soggy breading. The intent was there just missed on execution tonight.

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. The peach cobbler was the best I've ever, in all my 63 years, had.

All the customers were happy and the employees were smiling and kind and responsive. I had the Jonny burger and my wife had the caesar salad- both of us agree they were delicious! Leslie and Megan were the two outstanding employees who helped us order and brought us our food and answered our questions. I didn't interact with the chefs at all, but they sure whipped up some good food super fast so they deserve credit too! One thing I noticed is that Megan and Leslie were super kind and cheerful from the minute we walked in. I overheard Leslie mention to Megan that she was working a "clo-pen" which is a closing shift followed by an opening shift. The thing that stood out is that Leslie was HAPPY to work the clopen. I've never heard an employee (even my wife who is a manager for Dutch Bros) not complain about doing a clopen. Props to her!! The staff who worked tonight 8/14/26 should all get raises. Management, take note. You've got some amazing employees who proved to the customers tonight that they deserve raises, and they proved it without even intending to. Great food, great service, great staff, and a lovely environment for us to enjoy!! (Of course, I wouldn't suggest everyone come in right before closing but even when we did, we only had the best experience- as if it were the starts of the staff's shifts)

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!

Those that I like have to meet a few requirements that I have for eating. I have celiacs, so i avoid gluten at all cost, including any moderate chance of cross contamination, Corn also bothers me so another food that I avoid. beyond that I am picky with what goes into my food and how the food is prepared. Now to the review. the first thing I do at any restaurant is ask about their gluten free options and about cross contamination. This was the first day that the Provo location was open, so I expected there would be blank stares. believe it or not that happens a lot. Here they knew about some of the food but not all of it when it came to my questions. So they went back to ask, "I want to make sure so let me ask". the next thing i knew I was speaking to the owner, going over all of the items and the options I had and what to avoid. He made some suggestions and we went ahead with our order. I got. the tri tip steak and my wife got gnochi. Oh another thing about how i like my food. I like the ingredients, steak, potatoes, vegetables, etc, seasoned and not the other way around. I find a lot of places over season their food. Not here. the steak, veggies, and mashed potatoes were lightly seasoned, just enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm the core ingredient. the steak was tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked and seasoned. I didn't even try and figure our what seasonings they used, I just enjoyed the meal. Short of this part of the meal, fantastic. With the gnochi, we had a little bit of an issue. There was a problem with how they were cooked, they were a little stiffer than they should be, but the sauce they were in was fantastic. BTW, they are not gluten free, so this is my wife's perspective. When they asked how our meal was we mentioned that to them. They looked at the gnochi and agreed. they then didn't just correct the issue, but went above and beyond. They asked if we wanted something else, made a suggestion since we couldn't decide and prepared that for us. They also did something else while we were there. They tried to make more batches of the gnocchi, not for us but so that they could see what went wrong. Then came back and told us what they had done and the results. The service was some of the best I have ever had. They had a good selection of gluten free options, depending on your sensitivity your options might change, but there are plenty of options and a few that are not on the menu. The owner suggested a burger on mashed potatoes, even though they have a gluten free bun. My gluten sensitvity is pretty high, so he was providing as many options for me as possible. All in all, I really liked the food, the service, and the attention to my food sensitivities.

A pleasant finding-I could either purchase the ingredients to make an omelette myself, or pay to have someone make it for me. It's a no brainer in my world-I'll always opt to have someone else cook if I have the choice. The omelette was pretty good-packed with veggies. I would have loved more mushrooms and less onions, but that's a personal preference. The atmosphere is casual and inviting-with seating both in the cafe area as well as outside along the front wall of the store. It's located in a strip mall, so it's easy to find and has plenty of shared parking out front. But it's a pleasant, tidy little space, and a nice place to have a meal. I was able to try the chicken pesto panini, fries and fry sauce, tomato soup, and oat cake. The panini and the fries are quite tasty. I think the most unique item is the oat cake, which is a hearty bite for sure. The soup, sadly, is not very good, which is kind of a letdown, because it's hard to do poorly with tomato soup. You're supposed to serve the soup yourself, but we weren't aware of that, and the staff was nice enough to dish it up for us! The store portion offers tons of quality healthy foods. If you're following a specific diet, just be advised to check the labels. Some items are definitely "cleaner" than others.
