I've been a JCW's disciple a long time but I am now converted to Chubby's. We tried the ranch jalapeños burger and the mushroom Swiss and both just knocked the flavor out of the park. (Dip them in fry sauce for next level juiciness.) The battered fries were good but I didnt feel as enthusiastic about them as advertising might suggest I would (same with the house sauce, its not that great.) The cinnamon scones on the other hand could use even more exaggerated marketing with how scrumptious they are!!! We will be returning the next time I want a burger. They served me cold frys. When I told them, they said they would make me fresh ones. By the taste and how quickly they came out, I could tell they just took some from the old batch and threw them back in the frier for a few seconds. They were nasty. I had the jalapeño cheeseburger. The toppings were OK, but that's because i replaced the American cheese with real cheese. The bun was not toasted, so it was wet and fell apart. The burger patty itself was bland. Really great food and pretty great service. The food came out quick but management needs to come up with a new way to assign order numbers or for the server to find the right table. The servers were noticeably confused about which order goes where. We still got our food quickly and everything was really good quality. The cinnamon scones especially cannot be missed. All the employees were friendly and tried hard I think management needs to invest in those table numbers that show where the customer is sitting or something. I got the Cod which is basically fish and chips and you can have the chips as your aide or if you're like me and thats too much fried stuff you can have the side of your choice. Consistent mistakes on orders every single time we have visited (4x) The food is decent, but not worth going anymore. Last time we came, they gave us the wrong food, said they'd remake it and bring it over. 20 minutes later, no food. Went to the front. It was sitting in the window and it was the wrong order again. We were in the area and most places were busy on a Saturday night with an hour+ wait. Chubby's was open. It's more of a fast food style where you are provided a number and sit down to wait for the order. This might have been an off night or because we stopped in around 7pm on a Saturday but they were out of several things: mushrooms (no mushroom Swiss burger), milkshakes (machine was broken), Oreo pudding, etc. The person helping us was really apologetic about it and friendly. She did try to accommodate us as best she could. The menu on display, has very little information so you need to ask questions. We settled on a burger, country chicken sandwich and blue burger. All the sandwiches were good. The Mac n' cheese is definitely skip worthy. I didn't expect the country chicken sandwich is have so much messy condiments on it (no description) so that's partially my fault but probably would have skipped it had I known (both BBQ sauce and a coleslaw kinda mix and half it fell off onto the basket). The place was quite clean for a busy Saturday, and someone came around and took our baskets. This location reminds me a bit of how the PG location was (and maybe still is - not been there in some time now). The fries...there are many and they are coated. Coke Zero is on the tap. All to the good. The main entrees I still think are a bit iffy. I opted for a pulled pork, as it was to be just bbq sauce and pulled pork and then could put the new Mango Habanero sauce (this is not a good sauce - appreciate the thought, but execution is...not great) here and there and try it out, but this was overall quite underwhelming. The food here is yummy! There's a lot on the menu and I'm pretty sure anyone could find something they'd like. I've personally really enjoyed the chubby cheesesteak and Hawaiian BBQ burger! Next time I want to try a shake! I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here but I've enjoyed it each time I've been. Update: I went back for a shake the next day and it was good! I ordered a small and it came the size of a large for no extra cost, so that was a win! I loved the pieces of peach cobbler in it. Ok, so the pastrami burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had in my entire life. Along with the pastrami burger I also got a side of fries, cookie dough shake, and a side of scones. First let me say the burger is huge. Like physically impossible to open your mouth wide enough to take any sort of bite huge. So I decided to cut it into sections to make it more manageable and that was really helpful. But yea, extremely fresh tasting and juicy burger patty, delicious pastrami, and fresh topping all came together perfectly to make one hell of a burger. But it was so freakin' big, by the time I finished I didn't have room for very many fries. Also side note, I got regular fries and my mom got beer battered fries which I liked much better than my normal ones so get the beer battered fries if you're debating which one! My shake was great. Basically vanilla ice cream with cookie dough chunks! The scones were AMAZING. Although where I'm from, I'd call what was served to me a beignet. I envision a scone smaller and more dense. While the "scone" I ate here was soft and airy, exactly like a disneyland beignet. But semantics aside, it was so tasty and I loved it so much! All in all, this was one of the best meals I've had. If my girls had their way, we would eat here every night. They ADORE Chubby's!!! We love coming here because there's something each of our girls will eat and they have lots of AMAZING options for adults. My 9 year old says this is her favorite place for a cheeseburger. (She gets a side of Mac and cheese and puts it on her burger!) The 5 year old adores their Mac and cheese. The 1 year old could eat the Mac and cheese or fried all day long. I love the shrimp po'boy and any of their fried chicken sandwich. My husband loves their salads - they are HUGE!! Portions are huge and everything we've ever tried has been delightful. I feel like burger joints are a dime a dozen. No matter where you go it's easy to find a solid burger joint. But this place is one I find myself craving the most. When I'm visiting family in Utah, Chubby's is always near the top of my foodie list while I'm visiting. The food is excellent every time. Will Chubby's make you chubby? Certainly. But it will be entirely worth it. The pillowy soft buns are heaven. The crunch of their beer bartered fries are perfection. And their honey butter scones are bliss. It's all so dang good. Definitely the better of the various Chubby locations and perfect for lunch with friends or coworkers if you can get there before the rush. We've been consistently been in and out in one hour which is a big factor for us. I've always gone for their hawaiian burger because the pineapple here seems fresher than at other burger shops I've tried. I wouldn't personally recommend their salads but I think that's somewhat expected at a place that specializes in burgers and fries. Their beer battered fries are fantastic and pair well with their hushpuppies, but not exactly the healthiest options on the menu. I heard so many great things about chubby's and was disappointed. My burger was burnt. Our root beer float was mostly just ice cream and not a lot of root beer. The food overall was just OK. However, the employees were extremely nice and it was a good experience. The menu is big with lots of options to choose from. Did a pick up order Tuesday night, the girls up front did not make it worth it. When I called, she was all over the place, messed up the order. Then when I arrive to pick up, there were 2 customers up front messing around and talking with the hostess ip front, which I assume they were all friends, but paid no attention to me when I was simply trying to pick up my order. I love Chubbys. I come here often. Today it was such a let down. I have family in town and that required me ordering online. Well... they shut down online ordering for the moment. I call in, make my order, go to Chubbys after the estimated 25 minutes and see my food is ready but they tell me I have to spend 40 MINUTES in line to pay for it. Chubby's is no joke! When it comes to fast food type places, this one is hard to beat. Came here while visiting friends/family and after hearing my dad and bro rave about it. Had to see what the fuss was all about. And hey, it delivered! Really solid burgers and fries and DO NOT FORGET THE SCONE. With honey butter. Yup. We picked it up and drove it back to the house, so it wasn't as fresh as if we ate there, and it was still pretty dang delish. Ordered a Utah Burger (had to get something with fry sauce, it's a must in Utah) with beer battered fries. Added extra fry sauce on the side and also the jalapeno ranch sauce for dipping. That stole the show. So good. Wife ordered the same burger but with scones on the side so we could share. Perfection. Those scones were money. Our friends liked their food too, especially the buffalo chicken tenders. Dude was hyping them up bigly. Gonna have to try them next time. I love the food here! Everything I have ate here has tasted great. I like the bun they use as well. It stays in place and is balanced well with the filings. I have had several of there burgers and none have disappointed. I always get the beer battered fries as they are so good! They are crispy, and tasty! They are also a pretty wide fry which is awesome in my opinion. On the other hand, they can be a bit greasey. I would suggest coming hungry to this place. The food is great but sits heavy. In other words, you will fill like you ate a bunch. The staff is always friendly and smiling even when it's crazy busy. They are always patient with me too. I always ask then questions about various menu items and they take the time to answer all my questions each time! The restaurant can be quite loud at times when it's packed so keep that in mind too! This place is ok. It's not great, it's not bad, it's just ok. The food was hot, the portions are suited for the price. The fries were very good, the Mac and cheese was kind of bland, not a lot of flavor. One of the pluses of the place is the menu though, there are lots of options, that goes for the sides too. They even have hush puppies and scones, (Utah scone aka fry bread). The chicken tenders were good. I got the sweet buffalo sauce, but I'd recommend something else, the sweet buffalo sauce is like a not-as-good Wingers sauce. I'm not sure I'd come back, probably only if I have a coupon or a friend wants to go, it was decent enough to try second time, but as of right now it's not on my list of places to go to. read more
