a birthday party at a store

Attended a birthday party. Employees seem to not really know what's going on. The pizza was surprisingly not too bad! Overpriced but okay. Kiddos had fun and that's all that matters!

This is a nice Chuck E Cheese. Sure, it's still one of the last places a parent wants to spend their day, but overall it could be way worse. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Only one game wasn't working, but that's not a huge deal. I like their new program where you buy time instead of tokens. You can put 30 minutes or more of game time on your kids game card and they can play as many games as they want in that amount of time. If you stop to eat you can pause your kids game timer so you aren't wasting minutes while eating pizza. Excellent idea! Tickets for prizes are still awarded from the games. My daughter normally racks up about 200 tickets in an hour. Nothing major, but enough to get a few small prizes from the counter. Chuck E Cheese comes out every 30 minutes or so and dances with the kids. He throws tickets at the end of the dance and the kids go wild. He'll also hangs around for photo ops. This location offers a "Sensory Friendly" playtime on Sunday mornings. The lights and sounds are all turned down to help kids with sensory issues. Very cool idea! I love that they are trying to accommodate all kids and families. We'd come back to this Chuck E Cheese for sure. Definitely one of the better ones in the area.

It's Chuck Cheese the place your kids dream of going to and the place you dread. You dread because the games cost money, there are tons of kids, and you come home with a pocket full of spider rings. You know these stories and you lived them. Hell you might have been one of those parents to host a birthday party here that made us other parents walk into this hell hole. There was one pleasant surprise that occurred to me during my journey in the this children Mecca, the pizza is above average. Now I'm not saying to start ordering carry out for the devil mouse. But I am saying you will get your money worth out of the pizza pie.

The past few times I've visited the staff is not helpful. They completely messed up my nieces birthday party by forgetting their pizza orders and not ever delivering the pizza until the whole party had kids begging for food. Also poor service other visits. And now here and there is food & trash under all the tables and tables are dirty with food residues on them and once again poor service and food order of 2 pizzas and wings messed up and forgotten. This place needs some serious order and management.

Kids having fun and they usually do cause this place is fun for the kids. My little loves to come play often.

Ask the Community - Chuck E. Cheese

Is there an indoor play ground (the tunnels and slide) at this location? It looks like in older pictures there is one, but I don't see the play area in the most recent pictures.

I’m 95% sure they no longer have the tunnel play place area. They’ve been remodeled and I think all of those structures disappeared. They do have a giraffe ride, but that’s it beyond the standard games.

. It's a fun place to have a kids birthday party because it's not too expensive and they let you bring in your own cake/cupcakes.

A bit of a bummer that the 3D Lego theater was down for maintenance but love that they have 4 different movies showing when it's up and running. Race track, ninja obstacle course, virtual game for an extra $7, snack bar and so much more were visited. Easily spend the day. I also love that it's within walking distance of Crown Center shopping and the fountains. My biggest complaint is that it can get super busy--think mass chaos, kids running around, and people shoulder to shoulder--and it isn't always as clean as I'd like. Pro tip: Book ahead to take advantage of coupon discounts. It helps save a little and ensures entry during busy times. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for kids in KC, and we'll definitely be back.

This is probably the origin of the phrase, 'the kids are bouncing off the walls.' Found ourselves here for a birthday party on a particularly busy winter Sunday afternoon. We've been to other trampoline parks, but again, this one has that sort of extra unhinged energy. It's not quite as expansive as some. It's almost like a dog park for kids. You let them out to run wild for a bit, and hope they tire themselves out enough not to bug you at 8:30 that night. For some kids it's great. Mine like it well enough, but they'll never beg to come here. They like things a little more quiet and zen (they are my kids after all). But I see how it can be fun every so often. Definitely a place parents in the area will find via birthday party or winter boredom at some point.

The teen who checked us in was nice and explanatory. I found a place to sit and watch our belongings while the kids played. They had a good time playing, but the six-year-old did twist her ankle a bit. I purchased the 90 minute play pass and three pairs of socks and it came to $84. I kept looking for people who worked there and I only saw one other male teen walking around briefly and then start working behind the snack counter. My oldest granddaughter said there was one person watching the dodgeball area, but that was it. I think they do need more people that watch for infractions of the rules because those infractions tend to get other kids hurt. Also, some kids took over play areas and were on specific cloth swings for a whole hour when their rules when you sign in specifically say not to do that. I would say that the place is more suited for ages 10 and up because there were even quite a few teens there. Also, no one is really rotating the people out for the shorter play passes so the amount of kids just keeps getting larger.
