OMG, If I lived in Westport, every night would be pizza night!!!This place has the best pizza in town especially the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, my husband and I decided to explore Westport and check out some new restaurants. We came across Providence by the Slice, and it did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in, we ordered the 20-inch thin crust pepperoni pizza anddddd we finished the whole thing in one go. That's how good it was. The crust was soft and pillowy, the sauce had the perfect tang, and there was just the right amount of pepperoni and cheese on it. It honestly felt like I was eating pizza in New York. The staff were super friendly, and the place has a cozy, rustic vibe with an amazing ceiling design as soon as you step inside. I'd give it a 10 out of 10. I would definitely go back to try the remaining flavors. If you are pizza addict, you won't be disappointed!

do yourself a favor and order the Detroit style pizza. I won't go so far as to say that it's the best pizza in Kansas City, but it is most certainly the best Detroit style pizza in Kansas City. Perfectly crispy, a little bit greasy, absolutely delicious. Take your parents here. Take your friends here. Take all of your loved ones here.

Pizza was good but would recommend getting full pizzas made fresh, but not the slices. They would've been better fresh. Service was slow but ambiance was fun.

I actually can't get enough of this place, I came here and tried about six different slices and they were all amazing. My favorite pizza is called the East Coast top with ricotta and basil, and I could literally dream about this pizza. The cannolis were over the top. I actually need more of them right now while writing it.

I can't believe I let this place sit on my list of pizza joints to try for so long before checking them out. They came recommended a TON by viewers that know I like a good pizza. I came in on a Tuesday and got 2 slices and a soda for less than $10 and it turned out to be some of the best pizza I've had in the entire city. It was so good that I ended up going back a week later for more. If you've not had Providence By the Slice and you're craving some pizza, go there now. Don't debate about it. Don't look at other options. Go! You can see more of our experience on our YouTube travel channel: https://youtu.be/8l2KvVoSapM

The pizza was really good, although a few slices were burnt. The service was still amazing and would definitely recommend the "Buddy C" pizza with buffalo sauce, chicken, and blue cheese! Would definitely come back. Also ended with a cannoli.

I was blown away by the quality of pizza here. This might sound like an exaggeration, but I actually believe it's the best tasting pizza I've ever had. You can tell that they make the dough daily because it just feels so... Fresh! I was surprised that the favorite of mine was the Detroit style (not pictured). I also had very great company with the general manager, Greg. I can't wait to go back and bring more friends!

The BBQ Chicken Detroit style with hot honey drizzle was on point. Crunchy crust on the bottom and cooked to perfection. It's a Fellini.

This pizza is the best I've had! West of the Mississippi. They have captured the essence of NYC and mastered the crust, cheese and toppings! Take out service precise.

After lounging by the pool, my daughter and I decided we needed some food and fortunately for us, Providence is just down the street. She isn't a very adventurous eater so she had the pepperoni, I went with the East Coast, and my husband chose a Sicilian option. It was delish! And the lemoncello cannoli was outstanding! Highly recommend! The service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was fun.

Enjoyed having different crust options (New York, Detroit, Sicilian) and the option to get it by the slice. We were pleased with our pizza, but wish there would have also been salads to purchase. Service was ok - person who took our order wasn't very interactive.

I ordered a cider and they brought me out 1/2 a glass. The keg was empty and he figured I could at least try it. It was good, so I appreciate what I got. We got some appetizers. The Cesar salad was fresh and crisp. La Capra E Il Maiale was awesome! It was baked goat cheese and pepperoni with flatbread. Absolute flavor explosion! The pizzas... so great! We got a hot honey pepperoni and a Mortaza. Both were baked beautifully, the cheese blends were spectacular, and the toppings were ultra fresh. I left happy and full! Great service, great food!

It's pretty lively--which is to say that it's not a quiet, romantic sort of setting, so don't expect to have a sweet heart-to-heart convo over your pie. (Can this be the same place other reviewers are calling "upscale"? The menu is laminated, the chairs are industrial metal, and the floor is concrete. The server's wearing a hoodie.) The table next to us included two kiddos who played with electronic devices with the volume on, and staff made no move to stop them. We were seated at a table near the front door and didn't see the bar area until after we finished dinner; it's likely more intimate. The beer list is pretty short--the usual big names and a smattering of local craft brews. There are several spritzes and a few house cocktails on the menu, as well as a decent wine selection. We had craft beers and they were served good and cold. The menu also includes cane sugar sodas and Pepsi produts. Like most pizza places lately, there's no option for a small hot meal, especially if you want protein included--just a whole pizza (of which I'd eat less than half) or a salad. So I had a half salad, my mate had a pizza, and I had a slice of that as well. The crust is excellent; sauce and toppings are tasty as well. Il Lazzarone looks like a good place to share pizzas if you're with folks who can agree on toppings! It's a stable, reliable place to pop into if you're in the area.

I ordered the Breadsticks Fully Clothed appetizer (3 large bread stick topped with both, roasted garlic, and mozzarella cheese served with our house made marinara) to share with the table. It was HUGE and was easily shared with everyone. For myself, I ordered one slice of the Parma (prosciutto, blue cheese, caramelized red onion, romano). It was so good! We really liked that everyone could get whatever slice their hearts desired and it seemed that everyone really liked their choices. We will be back!

When I mentioned it to the staff, I was told that all slices come with red sauce and nothing was done to make it right. I paid about $8 for food I couldn't eat and left and disappointed. What's especially concerning is that the online ordering system allows sauce customization for slices, which is misleading and unsafe for people with allergies. I was really excited to try this place, but this experience unfortunately completely missed the mark.
