I rarely leave a one-star review, but unfortunately, this place just isn't it. To be fair, the classic Chuck E. Cheese experience is here--the machines and games all worked as expected, just like any other location. However, the biggest issue for me was the armed security guard. Yes, armed--with a large firearm. At a Chuck E. Cheese. This is a kids' venue, and it was deeply unsettling to see. It raises a serious question: what are we doing as a community where this kind of security becomes the norm in a place meant for children? To put this in perspective, we've been to three other Chuck E. Cheese locations in the past few months for kids' birthday parties--Waldorf, Woodbridge, and Bethesda. None of them had armed security guards with rifles. With other options available, I won't be returning to this location. I can't support a place where this level of security feels necessary in a kids' environment. I want to support local business, but not at the expense of my kids safety. read more

If it were not for the manager onsite on my niece's birthday party; I would have stated that it "coulda been better." I wanted to make sure the BOGO promotion I had taken advantage of and ordered online would be ready prior to 11:30 am. He made it happen. I also then placed another two cheese and I mentioned it to the bigger gal working the salad bar this last Sunday and she was like "You just placed it, it is not done yet. -_-" Not to mention the amount of time it had taken someone in the prize area to acknowledge my existence to get me to the right person to answer my question on the pizzas. Then when my sister went to the prize wall to redeem tickets for my nephew, the gal working acknowledged my sister and then just directed her attention to other individuals within the area. This isn't the Chuck E Cheese I remember. Came here with my two, three-year-old twin boys on a random Sunday. I was told I can't bring in my metal re-usable bottle water bottle unless I left it in my baby bag. I waited a few minutes to order a pizza but no one was at the register so I loaded the game card through a machine and took my kids to play. There are no more animatronics, just Chuck E Cheese youtube videos on a screen that look like knock off Sesame Street. And the play area has been reduced to just a 12 foot by 12-foot trampoline area. We ordered a tiny personal pizza the size of a standard re-useable for $16. The price said $12.99, but the pepperoni was $2.59 extra. It was the OK-est Chuck-E-Cheese experience of my life. A Manger allowed us to use the birthday deposit on food but wouldn't allow us to sit in the birthday area or offer us a birthday package today in a fairly empty restaurant. Haven't been here in years. Their entrance is on the side now, they have better games, and it looks like a daycare now with their purple walls and bright lights. I visited this place today with my family and was disgusted by the dirtiness of the floors and tables. Did they not have anyone cleaning up in this place?!?! Another thing is that this location is too small for a chuck e cheese's. It's hard to find tables on weekends and people are EVERYWHERE! We took our niece here to have some fun time while we were visiting my mom in Maryland and we were appalled. We stay at the Chuck E. Cheese in New Jersey (particularly the ones in Wayne or Paramus) for hours. We stayed here for 45 minutes only because our niece is a fan and would have had a melt down if she didn't get tickets. So I came here for my Godbrother and Godsisters birthday party. And even on a Monday night it was packed. Chuck E. Cheese has changed. And not for the better either. I remember growing up it had a big play pin and more games. And this one is lackluster. It's a lot of young teenagers who work here and they don't really seem to care. I actually saw a worker deliver a pizza to a table with no one sitting down. The pizza could've gotten eaten by strangers or it could've gotten cold. That's just not good customer service. Dear Drug Enforcement Administration, I'd like to report that this listed establishment is a drug house that caters to children. The children are herded in droves and stamped with some unknown substance that glows, thus "marking" them. That's when all hell breaks loose. The poor children, with their dilated pupils, runny noses and jittery hands, just take off all over the place screaming, bouncing off the walls and climbing various objects that come in the form of obstacle courses and gaming machines. Their interactions with each other tend to be aggressive and their speech is often limited to one syllable words and various banshee type sounds. They must have taken a good hit of something bad! Almost forgot to mention the rodent infestation in this building. Human sized rodents behaving in a peculiarly friendly manner and brazenly approaching humans to pet and be pet. This establishment also serves highly questionable and ridiculously priced food that the children eagerly devour with reckless abandon. Concern over tampering exist because while the "pizza" looks and smells normal for the first 10 minutes or so, after that it dries up and takes the texture of plaster. While the food serves its purpose in theory, testing should be done to assess what role if any it plays into the children's altered state of mind. Finally, the dealers, or as the establishment calls them, "hosts", are adept at manipulating the children towards continuing their "high" throughout their stay at the venue. The hosts lead the children through sing alongs, which may or may not go against the tenets of anti-drug programs. They are also quite savvy at siphoning tickets (the currency of choice) for various forms of paraphernalia. Those tactics cause these users (children) to go after the enablers of their habit (parents) and rob them of every dollar they have. As a concerned citizen, I implore the DEA to immediately investigate the situation by sending an experienced tactical team to breach the premises. I would advise the team to come highly prepared because......the chief rodent named "Chuck E" may be the Drug Kingpin and is scary as heck! read more

Upon entering (directly in front of location) I see a lady freely smoking a joint(weed) no giving a single fuck about children walking in etc! Took my kids here on a Saturday in November of 2012. Not the Chuck E Cheese I remember as a kid. This place was super crowded and somewhat chaotic. LOTS of people and little kids running around. Seemed like a daycare with a pizza buffet and creepy, human size mice who can play musical instruments. My kids had a blast (ages 2, 5) - but I decided the next time I was going to go to Chuck E Cheese, I'd go to the one in Annapolis, MD - about 25 minutes east. Our first time coming to this particular location was overwhelming. It was at its full capacity, specially with COVID I wish it would've been more aware and limited people. Short staffed and no social distancing. Our food was fresh and warm. We left and came back a couple hours later to finish the minutes remaining in our bracelet bands, it was 7:30PM and there was about only 7 people. The experience at night time was much better than the overcrowded experience prior. Also;::: there needs to be more staff and a particular person cleaning up all stations and stocking the water in the waterline play stations. Cleaning bathrooms and tables. I understand this is a place for kids but parents(adults) touch the stations too, to play and share the fun with the children. So please it's a great place with potential just needs more crew. This place didn't deserve 1 star. The only way of putting is "it was a hot ghetto mess". Seriously! My childhood memories have been tainted by this atrocity. The place was disgusting! There were at least 50 booths and tables at least 15 were empty but you couldn't sit there because they were disgusting. No one made an attempt clean off the tables or the floor. I have been to at least 3 parties at this location and have never had an issue. I also take my daughter here on random days when we are both home (i.e. spring break, summer, etc) My daughter can play for like 2.5 hours for about $10. During the day, there is no crowd and she can play on anything she wants. I try to support businesses in my neighborhood and will continue to come here as long as she is interested. read more

I'm not one to go to Chuck E Cheese because it's always busy and dirty. Luckily, my family and I stopped at this one and it wasn't crowded at all. We walked in around 2pm on a Wednesday while they had the buffet(4 different types of pizza, cinnamon bread and salad). The place looked clean, the bathroom was clean, the carpet was pretty vacuumed and the guy at the entrance greeted us with a smile(Cory) and explained all about the buffet, immediately got someone to ring us up for the buffet and made sure we had extra plates. The manager Cherice was also very nice to us and made sure we were done eating from the buffet before they cleaned up. It's kids everywhere, they're running,jumping,playing,screaching..(what kids do)..the parents I notice are running behind their kids. Whether they are "ghetto" I couldn't tell you.
