Clearly a Mom and Pop establishment and it was giving Eddie-Leonard's-salt-pepper-ketchup-mambo-sauce ... NOT what I was expecting for an ITALIAN restaurant. Not sure why I was so shocked ... the only thing Italian about Ledo's is the name. IYKYK. I promise, NO SHADE, it's just not what I was expecting. The husband was the order taker, the wife cooked and assembled. My gyro was one of the cleanest, neatest orders I have ever gotten out of a carryout. Not a big red meat eater but when I do ... LAMB is my fav and this gyro did not disappoint. I have never used the word pillowy but chillleee, this pita was pillowy! Nice and fresh and warm and soft! (Not hard and cold or borderline stale like other places.) The meat was plentiful and warm. My pics prove the perfect ratio of meat to toppings and just look how flipping clean and eye pleasing it is! Little Mama behind the counter still understands presentation and attention to detail. Their carryout is pretty typical ... old grease smelling, in need of a good cleaning/upgrade in decor, dining area seating, etc. but in this economy and, at their age, I was impressed with their longevity and willingness to still trek on in and feed the neighborhood. Blink and you'll miss it, there's no neon signs or flyers all over the windows. I actually thought it was another closed up shop. I just felt like being nosy after spotting them while sitting at the traffic light off Ritchie Road one day. Super reasonable prices. NO STYROFOAM and pretty good food. Brave the sketchiness and visit them. When you do, tell them you saw it on Yelp!

    Does it need a seatbelt?

First visit on a referral! Late lunch/early dinner time (4pm) and the smells from the kitchen area had me undecided for a moment. I decided to go with the gyro sandwich. It was nicely portioned, neatly built and tasted genuine. Service was great and patient since this was my first visit.

Visited this place yesterday and it was so good! The inside was clean and they have an open kitchen. This business is ran by a older couple and they had good customer service. I had pizza and a steak & cheese it was soooo good! My mom had a fish & cheese sub that was good as well! The pizza is homemade and thin and good! I wasn't too fond of the Buffalo wing sauce but everything was made fresh and delicious! The prices are very affordable!!! You can order online or call in. If you're looking for a steak & cheese in the area try this place out.

The food here never disappoints! The subs, wings & pizza are our go to. Fish sub, Beef or Chicken steak & cheese subs, Cheeseburger sub. The pizza, the crust is rolled out fresh for each pie. The Italian sausage topping is flavorful & generous. Even just a plain cheese is delicious, the cheese has that chewy meaty texture! The wings are so good both the mild & spicy are good, the spicy is manageable. And they have chunky blue cheese dressing to dip them in! The service by this husband & wife is always on point! I so enjoy talking to both of them. The ambiance is classic old school booths. It's clean & welcoming. Plenty of free parking. Oh & the prices are more than affordable. Subs are under $8 and completely unheard of in this world today in the DMV, 10 piece Buffalo wings for under $11! My last order-3 subs(2-steak&cheese/1-cheeseburger), 2 personal pizzas(1-cheese/1-sausage) & 10 pc buffalo wings $54!!!

As a New Yorker, I approve! The pizza was reminiscent of pizza in NYC. It's not quite my favorite pizza place, but it's definitely still tasty. When ordering, keep in mind that their largest is a 14-inch and pretty small.

"veal" parm and the cup of dried garlic powder they provide as "extra garlic"

No. First things first - they have no concept of hygiene/ customer care. The tables were filthy (used napkins, etc) and the elder woman cooking the food was using her bare hands - no gloves and no washing her hands nor wiping down the counter between prep. You know what she did wipe? Her sweaty face. She grabbed a napkin or used the back of her hand to wipe her face and just went back to cutting bread and touching everything. Soooo...I opted out of eating anything cuz gross. Some in my party took the "we can just nuke it when we get home approach" but still didn't get very far due to poor food quality and lack of flavor. When we asked for extra garlic, we were directed to a self-serve spices (dried powder) bar. Lol! They also included a container of garlic powder in the bag. So you know that food isn't seasoned well. Any food spot that thinks old dried seasonings and fresh ingredients hit the same...does not know how to season food. Indeed, we got the food home and no one could finish. Our 7 year old said the refrigerator sauce (Ragu) was better. The adults also agreed it was very bland so we had to "doctor it up" but there's only so much you can do when it's already cooked. The spaghetti was mushy - way overcooked. The pizza had zero seasoning and the sauce on that tasted canned / metallic. So we just threw it all out. I did have them nuke the "veal"...it tastes like hamburger and definitely had a strong chew (not like veal at all). As folks said it's cheap so...just $20 wasted. The service was also subpar. An elderly couple was running the joint. They weren't at all welcoming. More of the attitude that they are tolerating the customer base. Until a gentleman of their community came in - then they halted all work for a good 10 min just to lean over counters and chat it up. The two customers present (of which I was one) had to ask when will our food be done. Never again.

    Getting my own!

Sat - 10/30 So my previous review I told y'all how good this pizza was right? Decided to come here and get my own since the trainer yells at me now when I sneak into the room of a new cohort to eat theirs. Turns out the owner is a dude named "Kenny". Kenny is Korean....but sounds like a brutha or an Italian dude on the phone when I ordered. Needless to say, he wasn't quite what I was expecting when I walked in, lol. Kenny has been here in this same location for 17 years. And Kenny makes a mean ass Italian pizza, obviously lol. Sausage, bacon, pepperoni, ham, and the perfect amount of cheese. I actually bought two meat lovers to go. You should come try some of Kenny's pizza. I think you'll like it as much as I do.

Otherwise, I would have never tried it. Don't get me wrong, it has a little kick, but very tolerable and packed with flavor. The line is never too long and they move fast in there. Whenever I am near, I have been stopping in. I believe they have a rewards program but I am not really sure what the points go towards and I always feel as though I am holding up the line so I have been skipping past it, but I really need to investigate that. P.S. the regular caesar does not taste like such and I would not recommend at all.

So after leaving The ups store next door I decided to stop in. I walked in was greeted and it's a pretty decent size restaurant. I do like that on the outside they can open up the bar and you can sit. But I opted for sitting inside. The menu has quick a few options and I was there during happy hour which turned out to be good pricing. I was being a big back and ordered the charbroiled oysters that were on the happy hour menu and a nice size ribeye steak, broccolini, and Mac and cheese. And when I tell you everything was cooked to perfection it was so good! As the pictures show it was a large portion and I had a lot of leftovers for my lunch door work and then some. I will definitely come back and sit outside on their deck or bar area as the weather is getting nice.

They did not have any croissants and they did not have any cocktail sauce (for the fried shrimp that they put on the seafood trip salad). Service was uneven. When we sat down, we asked for water and a carafe of mimosa. The mimosa came within four minutes. It took us another 15 minutes to get water at our table. The servers were very nice and friendly and professional. But maybe just new because they didn't seem to know to refill water glasses. I got their famous seafood dip as a starter. The chips were great. The sauce was not. As the cheese dip cooled, it developed a weird consistency. The flavor was off as well. Maybe it needed some seasoning salt and some pepper. The cheese flavor was odd and there was not enough spinach in it. The chicken wings were good. Good flavor (not spicy at all!!). Average sauce. Good dipping sauce on the side. The utensils were weird. It is strange to wrap actual silver utensils in a paper napkin instead of a cloth napkin. I did not like that. I also did not like that the side condiments came in plastic containers as opposed to small dishes, either porcelain or metal. The seafood trio salad was not good. The salmon and the crabcake tasted horrible. The shrimp was fried and I t needed more seasoning on the shrimp. The salmon had a mealy consistency to it and the flavor was bad as well. The crabcake was not good. Whatever was binding it together was also not good. The salad dressing was OK. There are figs or dates or some kind of dried fruit in the salad that I was not expecting because it was not on the menu. So be aware of that. This was a disappointing experience.

However, my experience revealed a significant disparity between the stated purpose and the actual atmosphere created by the owner. The irony: The event was a documentary, discussion, and supporting the vendors who came. During the discussion portion after the documentary, comments and thoughts were welcomed, so I shared my thoughts specifically highlighting resources on collective healing and rest in relation to generational and historic racial injustice/oppression (resources such as the Nap Ministry). The vendors and attendees were kind and friendly, and a few were curious about the grassroots healing organization I mentioned. What I noticed was, while the owner was notably attentive and warm toward his white patrons and others, his demeanor toward me, the only Indian woman there, was inexplicably hostile and impatient. It left me confused. In his direct comments to me, he indicated a disdain he had for "Indian people" with the generalization that "Indians are the most successful in this racist system and are therefore part of the problem." I was painted with a stereotype that has nothing to do with me. It was disappointing to see a space dedicated to 'liberation' revert to such narrow, localized profiling of a supporter like myself, especially considering that my intention for being there was the exact opposite. This attitude of blindly disparaging Indians is the same anti-blackness he claims to oppose. It is ironic that in a space claiming to fight racism white supremacy, the owner reserves his most aggressive scapegoating for a dark skinned woman of color who was there to offer genuine support (an easy target for misplaced hostility), all while changing his demeanor for the white guests. It contradicts the grassroots racial struggle he claims to represent and left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was overpriced but watered down, cold, and lacked flavor. The whole atmosphere was cold, low vibrational, grievance and money driven, and lacked the vitality and integrity one would expect at this price point. Quality is a result of Presence. Because the owner's heart was closed and his mind was set on getting money for low quality food and finding a scapegoat, the food had no life-force. I have withdrawn my support from this place.
