A dynamic location - I came here after work, I work at the Darien Chuck E. Cheese, and it did not disappoint. They seem to already have their remodel done, but have kept the animatronic, which is sweet. Ours was recently destroyed, and it's good to see some locations keeping them. Beyond that, the staff was swell. And the food was great, too! This store is a bigger location than I'm used to, and it really shines well, despite its size - everything was very clean. OK I'm going to be real honest here, which is what we all should be when doing these reviews right? Here it goes... I was soooo against and biased to Chuck E. Cheese for soooo long. I said I would NEVER bring my child here because I have heard horror stories of this place and just assumed like a lot of others it was low class and dirty, but fast forward 4 years and your child is in school, activities, and play groups and other kids are talking about it and having birthday parties there so now she comes home saying "I wanna go to Chuck E Cheese." I decided to surprise her with a weekend treat for fully dressing herself without any assistance for the week, including shoes on the correct feet and partially tying them. We head there on a Sunday early afternoon with me thinking OK the riff raff crowd if there is one that frequent this place probably come on a Saturday and if they do come on a Sunday they will not be up this early (probably from partying all Sat night) coming here. We get there around 1 pm and park in the mall parking lot. There is plenty of parking so that's definitely not an issue. Walk in, get our hands stamped and proceed to the counter to purchase food and our game tickets. So far so good. I scan the place and to my surprise it looks OK. I hear they used to be across the street, but moved into the mall recently so maybe that's why the place still looked nice and new. No 500 kids running around screaming being unruly, the carpet still in tact, the benches and tables look Ok. Clean. The games and rides look nice and operable. I did notice they have security, which for a kid play place like this was a little shocking, but hey maybe that riff raff crowd I was so worried about exist after all?? I buy like 30 tokens for $10 a pizza for my daughter and some hot wings for myself. Save your money on the hot wings. They clearly are boxed frozen wings that look like they came from a Walgreen's or a CVS freezer. They were so tiny they shouldn't even be labeled chicken wings, more like pigeon wings and tasted disgusting. The food also took forever to come. They have mainly young teenage kids working here so maybe that's why, but my daughter wasn't there to eat neither was I. She only wanted to play the games, ride the little rides, that's why we came and I understood this. They have many different age appropriate games and rides for kids, especially in that 3-6 age group. They even have a little bumper car area, which I thought was cool. All the games, but maybe two are only one token. Most of all the games are easy to figure out and play. When we went it was not crowded at all so my daughter was able to play almost every game, even if she didn't know how. You also have to remember to take your tickets after every game. You win tickets just for dropping in a token. There were countless times we walked up to a game with tickets dangling out of it (Yep we added them to the family!) After about three hours of back n forth and holding my daughters cup of tokens and tickets, I had about had enough, plus the "other" crowd was starting to creep on in. My guess was spot on! My daughter and I headed to the ticket redemption machine where you stick your tickets in, they eat them, count them and spit out a ticket reflecting the total points you earned. You take this ticket to another counter to get your prize, which is an absolute joke! OK, who's about to cash in 8000 tickets for a barbie doll??? Just go to Toy's R Us and buy it. Is acquiring 8000 -10,000 points from tickets even humanly possible?! My daughter had like 250 points and walked away with a whistle, which by the way she left in my car under the seat. All in all she had a lot of fun just playing all the different games that were her size and is already asking to go back and not where is her prize whistle. If I do go back I would probably go back early again or take the ride and check the ones out in the burbs, because in all honestly it's a fun economical place to take your kids without breaking the bank, but at the same time not trying to deal with any riff raff. read more

Kids are 3 and 6 and by observing their fun, easily would rate it a 5 star. As a parent here is what to expect. It is noisy and you need to keep an eye on your kids. They will forget tickets they've won, they may forget their tokens at a game, or worse, some kids might steal from their coin cup while playing. Selection of games is nice, even fun games for adults to play, and not a single one ran out of tickets. Machines were all in working order and only one was out of service and the coin mechanism was taped over so kids don't accidently try to play. Food was fine. Pizza was quick and hot. Self service refills on soda, and a decent salad bar. Staff did a great job running the place given all that has to be done. read more

During the day, the location is fine. After like 3:00 or so, the place gets rowdy and fights break out. Today I almost got hit by this ghetto pregnant lady because she wasn't watching her kid and her kid almost got hit by my ball at the ski game. I was with my 2 year old, I have my eyes on her the whole time, I'm not expected to watch your kid too, that's your job ghetto fab. I told security the animal put her hand up to slap me and he said if she didn't hit me, they can't ask her to leave. Now you know, you can threaten people here all you want, just don't hit. First time at this location with a group of 10 people celebrating my sons bday and really liked. The staff were so attentive and helpful. I noticed they were all multi-tasking working the register, salad bar, serving food and the area where you redeem your tickets for toys. Good job! This location was clean and not crowded with plenty of parking. I'll definitely go back!! read more

We specifically come to this location because there are bumper cars. It took an employee 20 minutes to come and operate the ride. My son and his friend should not have to wait 20 minutes to go on the ride. I kept asking the staff when someone would assist us and they seemed like they didn't care. read more

Watch your belongings!!! My son had his phone stolen at this location. When I asked about the security cameras I was told that it was probably not captured because there's a blind spot in that specific area. That seems pretty convenient considering the manager on duty remarked that it was likely not someone who worked there but a customer. I was invited to a birthday party here this Saturday and I was appalled by how unprofessional the staff was, and also how they seem unprepared to handle birthday parties. Everything was so chaotic. I would never throw a child's party here or come back on a regular day either. All the game machines felt sticky and dirty and my daughter developed pink eye and I know it happened there. If i could give a zero star to this location, that is exactly what I would give them. Went to this location to take the grandchildren to a fun place. The place was empty no much people. All the tables were empty with a "reserved" sign. Because all the tables and chairs were empty, my mom (70 years old) decided to sit down to rest for a little because she was tired. A guy that look like a manager by the name of "John" came to her to tell her that if she didn't have a number to replace the "reserved" sign, she was not allow to sit at the tables. He was very rude when he told her. He told me that we were not allow to sit at the tables if we were not buying any food. We didn't buy food but we spend money so the grandchildren (2 and 4 year old) could play the games for a little bit. (Which I understand, but the place was empty, there was nobody sitting on none all the tables. I bought our granddaughter (2 years old baby) ice cream, and she was sitting there eating her ice cream, and this guy by the name of "John" (he look like the manager) came to us again to tell us that we have to leave the place. He was screaming at us making us feel unwelcome, he was very rude. It was a very uncomfortable moment for our grandchildren and my mom to experience because he was screaming at us very bad. However, we treated him with respect and told him to give us 5 minutes so we can get everything ready to leave. He call the security guards to kick us out of the location. I was talking to the security guy which was a really nice person, and he told me to take my time. He looked at me like this "John" guy was a little crazy the way he treated people in that location... I will never go to this place again or recommend it to anybody. If this "John" guy is the manager in that location, I feel sorry for the employees and the customers that will go to this location with their children. I recommend the managers or supervisors above this person to watch what he is going to the customers at this location. This place will lose a lot of business with employees like this guy. read more

This was our first time at this chuck e cheese. We were attending a birthday party. The staff was pretty friendly and always seemed available to help. The atmosphere was really nice and kid friendly. For it being a kid friendly zone I have to give lots of credit I'm a mom with on older child that was two and now 6 and a two year old that is going through terrible twos hahaha. I can say they are way cleaner then most place, so long as you give a smile you get one back. Employees were great everyone did their part some real teamwork in that place noticeable, shout front reserves, cashier, personnel that took us to table clleaning . And they were organized as much as they could be when the lines where packet, if you have some patience that's honestly all you need in this place I though it was pretty awesome, thumbs up bring my young boys back probably for a birthday party, we just went out to eat there and had a great experince, trust me when I say though if you don't have patience or understanding then you should not be going to any outdoor kid friendlly place!! :)) read more

Made my daughter her bday party here on a Saturday at 5:30pm and it was a jungle! I was expecting it to be a bit crowded, but never imagined it to be that packed! But other than that, Karina took care of us throughout the party and everything went great!!! She took care of all of my guests and made me feel at ease regardless of the other 4 birthdays going on. My daughter had a great time and definitely created great memories with friends and family. I just really wish it wasn't so hectic, even the people next to us were trying to fight the security guard for a stupid reason. My 4 year old son loves this place, and always wants to go. We live pretty close, right in Franklin Park and have been here quite a few times. Weekdays it's less busy and the service is faster but Friday-Sunday the place is completely packed. You have to understand that they're doing as much as they can with the amount of people working and they have everyone working those days. As for the bumper cars they have staff they open when you have a group of kids 4 or so and when they can get someone on hand. Even when they get there late they usually swipe their own card. They're very respectful and helpful. They help you find the best deals with things if you ask too. It's really clean and the parties booked are fun for the kids.
