I was part of a group of four, including my two 9-year-old kids, that went out on a foray to Chuck E Cheese in Tucson. We were there in the afternoon and, upon our arrival, we were greeted and seated for the wondrous Chuck-E experience. Talk about a fabulous rabble of kids! The place was swarming in what could only be called a kid paradise that includes games and food and, of course, Chuck! Chuck made an appearance on a regular schedule, every 20 minutes or so, and the kids swarmed around Chuck each time. What a zoo! They were all having way too much fun, but good fun, too. We ordered pizza and drinks for food. The pizza was interestingly addictive, which was surprising. I think I could have eaten the whole thing in one sitting. We also played many of the games and had a great time doing so. So, this is top rate fun for kids younger than tweens and mildly amusing for adults, too. Give it a shot. I must say this place definitely knows how to cater to children. Chuck E Cheese caters more to children 6 and under. It is nice that every game only takes 1 token. The tokens here last longer than at Peter Piper. The pizza is just ok. It is pretty pricey to come here. The best way to go is if you have a coupon. We went tonight and I had a coupon for 1 large 1topping pizza and 100 tokens for $24.99, with 2 adult drinks and 1 kids it came out to just under $34. Without a coupon it would have been about $45. The kids love it and it keeps them entertained for a while. I wouldn't come here if I didn't have kids and for just the food. read more

I haven't been to a chucky cheese since I was a child but we went here for a end of the year sports party. I thought it was a good size overall inside and was fairly clean as well. The only thing I noticed is there was one trash can at the end of a row of tables and was overflowing with trash and several employees had walked past as it was near the party tables and no one removed it. This is targeted for a younger crowd I would say 7 and younger as older kids may get bored easily. It is nice that everything is one token so your tokens do go farther and the kids can play more games or ride the little rides they have. One of the things that I did find disappointing is the "prize" area. The prizes are so so cheap and basically just plastic pieces. I think places like Dave and Busters have way better prizes for the price you pay. We had a party so I just know what the price we paid individually to attend. The pizza was okay overall there wasnt a ton of flavor but the crust did have a nice garlic flavor to it. My little one had fun and that's all that really matters but I looked forward to trying their competition in town to compare it to. read more

The customer service here is great!! They are friendly and understanding. They didn't have a "playground" like many of the others I've been to but they had enough fun games. The kids really enjoyed it. The pizza was okay/good, as was the soda. We didn't always get the tickets we earned out of the machines because a lot of them were out of reels of tickets in them.. I guess nobody was reporting the empty machines, just moving on to the next ones. They do give a military discount, which is cool. And we were short a couple tickets and they overheard and saw my kids disappointment and did me the biggest favor and said they would comp the small difference but that would be all they could have. It was significant to me though and I appreciated it. They also taught us how to use one of the prizes and made sure to check our group identification numbers when we exited to ensure we didn't leave with anyone else's kids, and I love that. The bathrooms were clean too. The tables weren't as clean and they need more things like the pizza cheese topping but other than that they were good :) read more

Ok, I have to start out by saying I NEVER thought I'd be writing a 5 star review for Chuck E. Cheese. However, I had my son's 5th birthday party there this weekend and we couldn't have been happier. We have been avid Peter Piper-goers for years and have had several bday parties there. My son saw a commercial for Chuck E. Cheese a couple months ago and became obsessed with the idea of having his party there. After trying everything I could think of to talk him out of it, I gave in. I scheduled the party online, which was a cinch. We also got an extra 20 tokens for scheduling online and an extra 100 for having the party on a Sunday. Our host was Xavier and he was GREAT! Always available, checking in on us and totally on top of everything. They make a big show for the kids celebrating their birthdays: an awesome blow-up crown, air guitar with Chuck E., ticket blaster machine. My boy definitely felt the love. Now, it's not cheap and the food is what you'd expect. We paid about $250 for a party of 15 kids and 10 adults. And we brought our own cake and party favors. But, in my experience, that's equivalent to how much you'll pay for most other kids' party places. Plus, their games take a lot less tokens than PPP and they have the huge tube that runs across the play room and that's FREE! And the kids just love that thing! I found that the kids played so much longer without coming back to ask for more tokens than they do at PPP. Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the awesome security. It's so comforting knowing there's no way a kiddo is getting out the door wihout his or her parent. They really do a great job at our Chuck E. Cheese and we will definitely be back!! read more

My husband and I braved Chucks for our niece and nephew hang out date we have just about every weekend. We were going to go to PPP, however, the kiddos saw Chucks so we turned in. Pros: I am so thankful for the security measures that Chucks does. For one, they black light stamp us with matching numbers (ours was 459). My husband was stamped, my niece as stamped, nephew and myself - which meant, the kids could not be taken by anyone unless their numbers match. This made me feel safer, cause you know - nieces and nephews are loaner kids, the last thing i want is to lose them. Another good thing is all the games are one token. This allows the tokens to go a lot further and allows younger kids to interact with the games because, requiring them to count out tokens is like, expecting them to perform algebra! My last pro is the food combos. I appreciate that tokens are available for purchase with the food. There is not a need to have cash to change into tokens, they have really put thought into it. Cons: Dirty....whoo lord was it a mess. There was pizza everywhere, the salad bar looked like a germ factory (it was at the children's level and....they were running up and playing with it), there was sticky stuff everywhere. It was literally like a dirty daycare at the end of the day - we went around 7pm. Loud. Unlike PPP, Chucks has an open concept, its one big loud room, and they have tables set up in the game room, there is no buffering or separation. So it was a bit overwhelming in the noise department for me. All in all i did have a lot of fun with my loaner-kids at Chucks, the food was good, and they enjoyed it (which is really all that matters). read more

Not as glorious as I remember! And those tickets you win don't go as far as they used to...75 tickets for a Fun Dip candy?! Granted, the last time I went to a Chuck E Cheese was probably about 20-25 years ago! ^__^ The singing mice robots probably haven't been update since my last visit. Everything seems a bit dated. They do have some modern games such as Deal or No Deal. There are also the staples from when u was a kid such as Ski Ball, air hockey, and shooting water in the clowns mouth (although that one was broken when we went). Didn't eat the pizza or cake on this visit, but it looked and smelled just as it did in my youth, tho somehow less speaking now! Hahaha I like how now they have matching hand stamps for the kids and gaurdians, and they check it when you leave to weed out the creepers and make sure you are taking a child that really belongs to you! :) All in all, the kids still have fun, and that's all that really matters, right? :) read more

I've been going to Chuck E. Cheese literally my entire life. Now as an adult in my mid-30s, I bring my children several times a year. We are in Tucson this week and it is also my daughter's 2nd birthday. We though since she loves it so much normally, we would bring her for her birthday. There are no crawl tunnels or ball pits, nothing for the kids to just be kids and play in. This is an arcade only. The wait time for the food was extraordinarily long, even for a Chuck E. Cheese. To that end, half of the machines have zip ties on them holding up "out of order" signs. The duck punch game has a major delay and even when you hit the ducks, you don't get credit for it. We lost a token in one and the goofy, patronizing employee that heeded my complaint looked about 12. She gave me several tickets for free, but I told her That wasn't the point, my child wanted to play the game. She insinuated that I could not tell the the balloon was inflating when I previously watched it do so and it was very obvious. She acted annoyed that I even brought it to her attention, and then she went back to laughing and joking and dancing with her co-workers. There isn't much for kids to do in Tucson, and we were glad to see a Chuck E. Cheese here for when my husband is here working, but we definitely won't be back. I don't need an annoying child patronizing me, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

We do not typically go to Chuck E Cheese's, but for the second year in a row, my son (now age 5) requested it for his birthday party. We had a poor experience during his last birthday party, but we decided to give it another try. Well, it was another poor experience. We had our reservations, which were confirmed when we arrived. The "party coordinator" really wasn't sure which table was ours, and our son's name was not written anywhere. I noticed that they did not designate any party's tables that day. As other people have said, the animatronic Chuck E. Cheese characters look like they are on their last leg. Our party coordinator was completely unorganized and had trouble answering questions. They had the number of guests wrong, even though I confirmed the day before and again at arrival. We tried to keep to the party schedule, and ordered pizzas for the children and adults. They brought pizza for adults and told us that they completely forgot the order for the kids. The kids had no pizza, but had to sit down for the birthday show. The party coordinator told us that we needed to eat cake and sing happy birthday. We told him, "The kids STILL have no pizza!" We had to keep to time constraints, in spite of the mistake, so it was like, "Here kids, quick! Chug down that pizza! Light the candles! Shove down your cake! Get out!" When it came time for the ticket blaster, our party coordinator could not find the key. At the end of it all, management asked us how our experience was, and when we told them, they offered us tokens. I thought that was ridiculous, considering I had already paid for hundreds of tokens, and, um, tokens are not an actual form of currency. Our daughter, on the other hand, has had 3 wonderful, well-planned parties at Peter Piper on Broadway. They do a great job. Time to yelp about them... read more

First of all, we've never eaten the food, just attempted to play the games. The last 2 experiences were a joke. Half the machines were broken with no signs to even let you know they were out of service. The "ticket munchers", or whatever they're called, consisted of 1 working with the others broken. Again, no signs. I found myself running around, saving kids from wasting tokens in broken machines. Yes, everything was broken, in that the machines ate your tokens. I notified a person who worked there who literally shrugged and said, "This whole place is fallin' apart." As for parental supervision in this place, it's nonexistent. Call me a helicopter mom if you want, but I watch my kids. This used to be a cool place for parents and kids to play games, but not anymore. I highly advise looking elsewhere for pizza and games. read more

OThis place has completely gone down the tubes! First impression.... walked into a DISGUSTING stench of old dirty musky carpets! OMG! This carpet hasn't been cleaned in years! Stains cover the once colorful floors. Dirt and grime on every wall, entry way and door! We ordered 2 large pizzas, buffalo chicken breadsticks and 5 sodas... $78 WITH COUPONS! Holy crud! We could've got a feast at Peter Piper Pizza! Oh and the pizza.....it's awful! Frozen pizza blows this place out of the water! I'm waiting for my dad to regurgitate his salad from the salad bar. It's definitely been sitting out all day, all the toppings are mixed together and everything is shriveled up and dried out. This location is building a new location directly across the street. I really hope that it will come with a new manager and new cleaning crew! What a terrible experience for my daughter on her birthday! The only good thing about this place is the staff! I came here recently for a family member's birthday party and had a great time. All of the games were working, which is awesome. Overall, the place was pretty clean. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, especially a girl named Loretta who was very positive and passionate about her job. Went for my nieces birthday. I really enjoyed how it's spacious enough for the kids to run around in between the arcade. It would be nice if they had more variety, there was a dew machines that won't working that was the downfall. Other than that the pizza was really good a lot more flavorful than peter piper I just thought that the salad bar was a bit pricey and you could only take one trip to the salad bar. I really like how they check you in and out to make sure you're with your correct party. read more

The new Chuck E Cheese is pretty nice. The big plus is that all the games are just 1 token. When you go to put your gaming tickets into the ticket counter there is no expiration date on the receipt so you can save up your tickets to get something awesome. This place does military tokens so if you're military you can show your ID and get 20 free tokens along with your food purchase. If you're a parent on a budget there are coupons available online that you can add to your smartphone. I'll usually use a coupon and show my military ID, pretty good deal and it feeds my family and provides a tons of entertainment for my little one. read more

As far as Chuck E Cheese's go this one is the best one I have ever been to. First off the pizza is awesome!!! The staff were all very friendly, a little short staffed but if you needed anything or lost tokens in machines all you had to do was ask and the staff quickly helped out. For a kids place it was pretty clean and there were a decent amount of machines for the kids to play on. When did Chuck E Cheese's games only take 1 token?? This was a huge thing because I was expecting to have to feed tokens in to machines all day long. The ticket machines hand out a fair amount of tickets on certain ones and both of my kids made out like bandits when it came time to get toys from the little toy shop. And if that wasn't enough if you showed your military ID when you got food you got 20 tokens for free which when you combine that with a coupon deal you get a ton of tokens for not a lot of money. read more

This attraction is absolutely horrific and scares smaller kids. I went there, just feeling nostalgic. But when I walked in I was in sheer awe. Kids were hiding from the robots. Their eyes were souless, and their faces struck fear even into my heart. I ignored it, and decided to get some pizza. But I was grounbreaking technology. It was so bad!!!!! The crust was like cardboard, the cheese tasted like a dog turd dipped in cool ranch, and the pepperoni tasted like pink erasers. We came here on a Tuesday night thinking that it would be quick and fresh since it's a school night. We had to wait almost an hour for our pizza and sample plater. We send the sample platter back because it was cold and the pizza was just warm. We had to wait another 30 minutes for our sample platter to get remade and it was still only warm. We also ordered a cinnamon pizza and I asked how long it would take. The manager said about 10 minutes but when I went to check on it he said about 40 more minutes I only have one cook. We spent over $100 for poor tasting food. They refunded the the platter and cinnamon pizza. But the excuse is that the minimum wage has cut the staff. What a poor excuse Not worth the wait or money. We had taken our family here last night. I had been on a business trip and promised my toddler we would go. We arrived at 7:45pm Ordered a large wings platter to snack on. Wings arrived at our table at 8:20pm and were ordered at 7:52pm Purchased 80 tokens for $20. The place was in good working order. My 2 year olds birthday is this week , so although I was hoping for Chuck E Cheese, I knew there might be a chance that we didn't get to see him. At 8:25pm they announced that Chuck E would be out in 5 minutes. I was thrilled. Kids gathered around the place where he dances waiting for him. He never came. The place had quite a few kids who would have really enjoyed the Chuck E dance. Not sure why they wouldn't bring him out as scheduled. read more

The staff was super friendly and generous with my family... Whenever there was a problem with the machine in more than compensated with my kids really happy, and they were super nice with the food, and even gave my kids a little extra points to help them get a surprise with their tickets! Staff came by to let me know the schedule, and quickly made fresh ice tea when I ran out. Beyond frustrated by our visit. None of the machines worked, food was absolutely disgusting, and the place was a disaster! They were understaffed but even the staff who was there hardly did their job. My kids lost so many token to broken machines without any signs on them to let the kids know they wouldn't work. When I told one man on the floor that a game had eaten up two of my tokens he shrugged his shoulders and pulled one token out of his pocket and handed it to us... When he started to walk away I reminded him that it ate two tokens and he just shrugged again and went about his shift. Even the ticket counter wasn't working and started subtracting tickets when another family was adding to it. I will never take my kids here again. read more

Chuck E. Cheese's is a great place for the families of young children, (best for ages 2-10), to have a fun afternoon for not a lot of money! I really appreciate that they have a kid check system in place right at the door. Every adult and child is stamped upon entry and the employees literally insist upon verifying that the stamps match before they will allow you to leave the building. This system allows me a little breathing room to enjoy my visit, without following my kids around every second. The managers and employees are wonderful! It is rare to find a group of young people who conduct themselves so professionally, and they seem like they actually like the kids! The food is pretty good. The best menu items are the cheese bread and the wings, but the salad bar is also really good- it's very clean with lots of fresh options. I'm not a huge fan of the pizza but overall it's not too bad. We have had a few birthday parties there over the past few years and they do a really good job.
