My Godson wanted to have an Arcade birthday for his family celebration on this birthday, which was a Tuesday. His family picked Dave n Busters. I've been to Dave & Buster's before in California, but this is my first time actually going to one in Arizona and this one's located at the Tucson marketplace. I've been to other Arcade parties but compared to Peter Piper's or Chuck E Cheese the atmosphere I much prefer. I went at 8 pm and the place was not crazy busy, with many families enjoying food in booths and gaming. The father of my Godson was playing trivia in the bar area/dinning area guarding with birthday presents. I found the seats really comfortable with a full bar available and a number of people enjoying beers at the bar with food. The selection of games to play was so vast for the kids. The God kids are under ten years old, so older children might have different tastes, but plenty of skeet ball, claw machines, racer games were available, as well as traditional arcade video games. I played a round of trivia with six other players and won that round. I prefer with night time atmosphere at Dave and Busters to the bright dining space of Peter Piper. I think because it was the latest time of day I've ever gone to a arcade party, there were far fewer kids yelling and having melt downs. This was the most positive experience attending a party an arcade that I ever remember having. It was so fun. The family had food and play packages for the event and you pick how much play you want; prices vary dramatically from $19 for $10 of play and an appetizer, to the upper end of a $60 power card for unlimited play all day plus an appetizer. The store had its own specials and i believe the family had two $40 power cards that were gifted by an uncle for gaming. During the time I was there, many staff came by to make check if I needed food and drink while I was enjoying the trivia. Due to winning a round of trivia, we were given a voucher for the arcade prize store, which had the kids happy with more spending power. Mission accomplished for a happy birthday. read more

It is so loud in this place you can't hear yourself think (or talk) so don't plan to have a conversation while you're here. Food is okay not great. It's a good place for kids I think. Service is not great, we were only there for about an hour and we had 3 different servers! Not sure why but it seemed very disorganized. read more

Menu has many options to choose from. Had the mac-n-cheese with brisket and it was fabulous with some red chili flakes. Server kept us in drinks and let is take our time to visit and order food as we were ready. The noise level was about a 6 of 10 and the crowd was light for a Friday night. Anytime I come here, it's always a fun experience! The games are super fun and the food is always good. They always seem to add more and more games but I'm not complaining, I actually love that because then you get more options and never seem to run out of games to play. Note that you have to play A TON in order to get one of the bigger prizes. Your tickets never expire though so you can continue to go back however many times and never worry about losing your tickets!! My favorites are air hockey, Mario kart, and the stranger things one. I think that's new! I ate here this time and the service was good, just the waitress we had took a little longer than I liked. She was very nice the whole time. I went with my boyfriend and some friends for my birthday and they told the waitress it was my birthday so I got a free dessert which was so nice of them!! Definitely wasn't expecting that. Super fun!! I will mention it is a bit pricy so be prepared to be paying anywhere from 100-200 if you want to stay for a few hours, but I do think it's worth it. The feel is always a good vibe and people are never rude and very polite to wait their turn when playing the games. I like to call this place the adult Chucky Cheese because it's not only for kids, but for adults as well and they have a bunch of drink options. They've got a lunchtime promotion going on in May '24 M-Th (in their app only) where all food is 1/2 off! I'm a busy professional so no time for games (literally) but I was getting gas and swung by to try lunch. This new location was about 80% empty so service was outstanding Lol. I ordered their salmon bowl ($21) and it was frankly excellent. Salmon was seared/crisp on the outside and super tender/fresh inside. It was a decent portion too (6-7 oz) and accompanied by a small serving of a half-dozen different veggies and a ladle full of jasmine rice under the salmon (see pic). All worked well together except the acidic/sour grape tomatoes. I appreciated they were fresh and all cut in half so stabbing one didn't send it missiling off my plate. Sliced avocado was fresh with no brown spots. Despite 1/2-off, after tax/tip it was still almost $16. Returned for lunch 2 weeks later: Crispy Hawaiian sandwich was excellent (16.49). No-cost substituted slaw for fries was nice. Also tried the parm Brussels sprouts (7.99) - these were the only disappointment as they were not crispy enough and waaay too salty and no savory (sweetness) to balance. I only wish for more than two "healthy" entrees in their vast menu. Calorie counts on most entrees are very high, as probably expected. Ambience was very nice (almost elegant-casual) and TV screens abound (roughly 8 are visible from ANY given seating position). Parking is free and plentiful (at least midday :) read more

Dave & Busters is a international, but not outside of North America. It's a typical chain where most of the offerings will be OK for most. Their reservations are a challenge to work with ie they will try to get you committed to a contract. I get it, but what bar would decline the offer of 20+ folks to buy food and drink? Nice staff. The place has a sparse collection of machines and plays are expensive. From what I can tell, the coin pushers do not award tickets, only cards, which makes them difficult to justify playing unless it is their Wednesday special. I took my 12 year old today to play games and it was a total rip off. I purchased $55 worth of tokens and it only lasted about an hour. The games take way too many tokens for what they are and then the amount of tickets you need for a prize is ridiculous. My daughter had a blast and wanted to keep playing longer, but it's just not affordable. We showed up shortly after they opened and the place was dead, which was nice. read more

I went to D&B Thursday evening to casually meet with a friend to catch up and watch the March Madness games. It's an underrated happy hour spot but was pretty crowded inside that day because of the Arizona game. Most of the seating is first come first serve. We both ordered the Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade which is a little tart, a little sweet but yummy nonetheless. We also ordered endless bone-in chicken wings (which was a steal) with a side of fries! The food here is pretty good. But the service is absolutely atrocious. It takes forever to get anything extra- for example extra ranch with wings. The last time I asked when I ordered the first time, and had to keep asking. Didn't come until we had one wing left, and they still charged us for it. I don't mind paying, but would obviously like to be able to use the ranch with more than one wing. It's a bummer the service is so bad because it is a fun place to visit. Service was incredible! We were a huge group of 20 celebrating a birthday and our server was amazing! I had the cobb salad with crispy chicken and i'd give it a 3/5 stars. It was good but nothing spectacular. The truffle fries were to die for though, they were crispy and very well seasoned and came with two dipping sauces and my favorite was the top left one. The lemon pepper boneless wings were very good, they were nicely seasoned and a good amount of crunch. I got a shirley temple to drink and it was perfect. I do think the food is a little pricey but I guess that's just something to expect from here. The ambiance here is always crazy and fun. The games are so much fun and there's a lot of different ones! I love playing guitar hero and the carnival games. I got a good amount of tickets and left the prize store with car coasters, a webcam blocker and a hair towel, which I think are pretty useful prizes. Had our granddaughters party here. This place is pretty big with lots of games to play. The food was just average and they had a full bar with lots to chose from for drinks. Wines are limited. I like the private room we had for the party and our own waitress I called M cause her name was hard to say. Lol. They have a huge beer dispenser you can order ,, either 50 oz or 100 oz. So cool. I had purchased a discount coupon months ago, and have been patiently waiting for things with COVID to calm down a bit before I went. I REALLY needed to do something fun, and decided to head to Dave and Busters after I finished my volunteer work feeding ferrel kitties, and decided to head to D&B . I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Limited people....LOTS of hand sanitizer, spacing in games to allow for social distancing. I played my usual games. Star Trek, see-ball, and bowling. There some balls at stuff, and blew some stuff up shooting. All in all a nice afternoon outing. P.S....I still have 165 chips left on my card. Came to check it out to see if I might want to come over and eat (or drink) at some point. I was greeted at the door by a very nice guy (like a bouncer-- yet kids are allowed) who explained that this place is like (and I do quote) a "Chucky Cheese" for grownups. It was rather noisy in an arcade like way. Of course there was a lot of loud music. It was upbeat though. To my shock and surprise, the decor had a modern twist; with an updated bar and sleek separate dining area. Then in the back was the arcade with a lot of adult options like table football and sit down race-cars and more. The percentages kids was only about 10% on a holiday eve! I didn't really eat or drink anything tonight as I was passing through on my way to the cinema Nextdoor. All I can say is, I most definitely want to come back in when I'm ready and possibly do a happy hour review for sure. read more

Oh my goodness.... Where to start. My mom and I met here for lunch on my birthday. We loved the D & B when we lived in another state so were excited to find this one. We got the giant pretzel, which was really good. We both ordered fish & chips. The "chips" were fine, but the fish, although battered fabulously, was not fresh in any way, it was so fishy and inedible. I hate complaining or sending anything back, I usually just suffer silently, but we just couldn't eat it. I nicely told the waitress, who said she'd have to get the manager. After a wait... she came back and said they'd take it off the bill (I sure hope so, they were only touched enough to take one nasty bite). She then gave us some small containers to break up the pretzel to take home. Ummm... can we order something else instead? We decided to get a bacon cheeseburger with fries and just split it at this point. After what felt like forever, we got the burger. Cold. Even the bacon, cold. We just ate it, paid the bill and got the **** out of there. My intention was to order the churro dessert as a pseudo birthday cake, since we were there to celebrate, but we just wanted out. I've been here several times, mostly because I've had work parties and folks in town. The biggest reason I've gone back many times is that there is a little something for almost anyone. The food has been hit or miss. Sometimes it's fabulous and other times it's awful. Same goes for the service. The place ends up being spendy if you're drinking alcohol and playing games. The bar seating has lots of TVs and it's decent place for Sunday football. It's also a fun place for a date night because you're doing something outside of the norm. Start off... Dave & Buster's was my fav restaurant like 5 years ago... I haven't been since I had kids, we were really excited for one to open in Tucson. This location does seem small. Not sure if it's just the way it's laid out... lots of favorites weren't there. The horse racing game!!! I loved that one. It was usually crowded, maybe it was just dated. And there was zero photo booths. I mean, is my age showing? Everyone has cell phones so no one uses them anymore!? Used to like the one that predicted what your baby would look like.... and one of my kids actually looks like one from the photo booth ... Bar service is absolutely awful. 4 ppl on a slow afternoon avoiding eye contact at all costs... standing over 15 minutes and nothing. Left and came back a few times. There should be a convenient spot for ppl just to walk up to grab a drink, but no. Food service started off very good but after our food was delivered we never saw our waitress again... we waited an extremely long time wanting another drink and the check... again afternoon, was not busy. I guess we were her last table and she was doing side work in the back. The food. Mac and cheese was very good, as I remember... chicken was awful, chewy, gross texture, inedible. Teriyaki steak was supposed to be medium, was well done. Lacked flavor, teriyaki sauce was really gross... usually not hard to screw it up, but it was just bad. But the loaded potatoes were still amazing. I was kind of bummed they didn't have jack Daniels chicken anymore!! This was our first time checking this place out. They have some pretty good deals if you plan on eating at the restaurant and then sticking around to play some games. For my husband and I we shared the $29 ticket deal my son who is 11, got the $23 ticket deal. They have a very huge variety of games to choose from. I think one of my favorites was the humongous Connect Four game. The store with prizes is phenomenal. The restaurant area is very modern, laid out very well, and the tables are rather big. All the staff was fantastic to deal with, starting from the front door where you get your cards to play, all the way to our wait staff. The food was amazing. I have been in Tucson for about 15 years, and have not yet found a Cheesesteak that is comparable to back east. This Cheesesteak that I ate today was pretty spot-on. The serving portions were perfect. I can honestly see us stopping off on the way home from work and doing take out haha. This makes for a great family outing or even a date night. read more

I had a really great time when I did visit this I actually went on opening day and it was a madhouse I have to give them credit where credit is due they tried their hearts out: The food I ordered was actually very delicious I ordered some lettuce wraps with chicken very tasty also a side of tater tot's nice warm hot and crunchy. You could tell the bartenders renew my drink didn't taste like I had which I've had the same drink at several different Dave and busters around the country, I know that one opening a new business there's a lot of growing pains but the spot has lots of potential that's why I had to visit them twice in one week and I must admit I have been satisfied both times can't wait to return. read more

We were very happy with the arcade (which is massive) and the facility is impressive/well done, but as others have mentioned, the service leaves much to be desired. We came on a Saturday night to a new D&B so we expected a crowd and a wait. We bought our cards at the front desk and the employee was very friendly. They had a promo going where we got $20 in extra credits for free which was great! It all started to go downhill at the bar area though. It was busy, but most folks were standing and had already been served. My friend and I found a table and set up there. For 15 mins we waited, watching music videos on their cool TVs. A dozen or more employees whizzed past us while we sat with no menus, no food and no drinks. Eventually I flagged one down and she gave me a menu. We looked it over and decided what we wanted just to again be ignored. I noticed a gaggle of three employees at one of the POS terminals by the bar just standing around talking and looking bored. After having waited so long I approached and one reluctantly agreed to help us. The other two ended up joining two more employees and socializing behind the bar at one of the speed wells. We ordered everything we wanted at once and it all came out promptly and fine. The food is nothing to write home about but you dont expect it to be. I do love their delicious snow cones...incredible flavor and nice amount of booze. We enjoyed the rest of our night at the arcade. I will say, this place definitely has 5-star potential. It's an impressive venue with a lot of fun games and decent food/drinks. They just need a manager or supervisor to get their employees to stay focused. 3 stars for now. read more
