I'll start by saying my little kids really like this place and have a good time there. There's plenty to do for kids ~10 and under...when it's not crazy crowded. This is not a place for older kids, and it can get extremely busy all of a sudden. When they do get busy they often do not have enough staff to man the front counter and the stations, especially the climbing area, which causes long lines slows down participation big time resulting in wasted time. Often during spring break there was only one staff member running that whole climbing area. One thing that I cannot stand as a parent is that they require you to purchase and wear their propriety grip socks. C'mon. Grip socks are grip socks and we have a whole drawer full of grip socks from different places we've been over the years. I've never been to a place where they care which grip socks you are wearing. But if you can't find their branded socks for each kid and adult then you have to purchase another pair just to participate even if you have a handful of viable grip socks. The only mention of it online is when you go to book a date they through it on the screen all of a sudden. It's says you have to have wild Katz grip socks but doesn't exclusively say you can only use their socks. It's just dumb. Lava Island off of River Road and Orange Grove does not have that policy and is also much more suitable for both older and younger kids! This would be a solid 4 star place for younger kids if not for the hit or miss staffing causing lines and the grip sock nonsense! read more

Wild Katz is the place to be - mostly during the summer when it's too hot to play outside in Tucson - but also such a great time any day of the week if you want to burn some kiddos energy and have a blast doing so! My kids - 9, 8, and 1 - all absolutely love Wild Katz. My oldest loves the beast box and the basketball court. My middle loves the climbing walls, and my youngest loves...well, everything! Me? I love "The Fountain", where you can get yummy drinks and food. They have a variety of mixed sodas that are delightful (my favorite is a diet coke with raspberry and lime - they call it "the cacti"). The soft pretzels are THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. I don't know how, but they are perfection. Soft, buttery, salty...yum. On top of all of this, the monthly price is a steal. We've been members here for a few months now and our kids absolutely love it. We take advantage of the tot time 9-10 am for 5 years and under and it's perfect for us. Lots of different areas and things to do. Always something that piques their interests. They do serve some food, like pizza, but haven't tried it yet. The check-in process seems a little unnecessarily complicated. The wrist bands take the employees a long time to do and they sometimes even seem flustered--which is totally understandable considering kids can be rowdy and the line can get pretty long. The employees stand around chatting a lot. They don't pay much attention to the big kids going into the areas made for the younger kids. Some of the managers are very rude, while most of the other staff are quite friendly. Not a very clean place. Some areas feel a bit ran down. It needs a ball pit. It can be somewhat loud in here but it's a good place to bring the kids to play inside and get their energy out. Their pizza tastes good but is somehow the least filling pizza I've eaten in my entire life. We think that every time we've had it but continue to get it anyways lol fountain drinks are good. There's a great deal on the Wild Katz member cup. You pay $5 the first time then pay $2 for the refill every time after if you bring it back. Free tap water. Bottled drinks also sold. Kids love the amenities. I have seen a lot of fights between kids sometimes but it's more aggressive on the weekends. Staff members are nice. Area is mostly clean. 3.5 stars but I'll round up to 4. This was our first time visiting Wild Katz and my son and his friend had so much fun! The price was a negative for me. Since we live further away the membership doesn't make sense for us. For a pass I had to pay for my son and myself "participating parent" which was $21. Then I brought grip socks for my son but was told that we had to purchase their grip socks. So that was another $6. So in total it cost $27. I am glad we can bring the socks back to use next time. This cost paid for 90 minutes of play which was more than enough time. I just felt like it was a little pricey. The second negative was that it was warm inside, they could benefit from turning the AC up in the hot Arizona summer. Lastly we visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty busy so be prepared on weekends/afterschool/holidays for crowds. There were two areas for my son and his friend (15&14 months). The first, was the "Mini Meerkatz" area for children 2 and under. This was a very small area. We only spent a little bit of time in this space. The second area, "Little Lemurs" was for children 4 and under and where we spent the majority of our time. This space was a huge hit for the kids! There were dramatic play areas, sensory walls, a huge indoor climbing area and slide! It's a very large space with so many activities! Be prepared to climb/crawl with your child if they're younger. I loved that they announced when your time was up over the speaker based on the color of your wristband. So overall it was a wonderful indoor activity and we will be back! read more

The Staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Brought my boys to play here. N they have certain socks they have to wear in the playground. They have multiple socks for this kind of venue. They usually go to all the kids jumping n climbing place . Here because they had socks from somewhere else they told him they couldn't get on a climbing tree? They have to have their socks brand. This is one of the best places for kids in Tucson! With our blistering hot summers this is the perfect place to spend the day. The workers are constantly cleaning the equipment and rotating through cleaning the different attractions so it's safe for everyone. The cafe food is actually pretty good as well and reasonably priced. We love all of the different soda choices and nonalcoholic "mixed drinks" that make the kids feel special. Every employee I've encountered has been super helpful and patient with kids. This is definitely a place to keep in mind for a fun family outing! read more

This is a really great place for families and mostly kids. Heads up that it can become veery crowded and very easily. Overall we enjoy this place. We get the hourly playtime and rates are per hour. Weekdays are cheaper and weekends a little more. Prices are super high but for an hour and I wonder. New areas are have been added like a separate event party space, massage zone for parents and soft bubble shooting space. The bathrooms are usually dirty and could use a more regular check in with the amount of kids and adults going through. And the snacks could offer more real food, less sugar and local options varied for dietary needs. Right now it's mostly like a gas station stop. Still decent items. read more

I've had my eye on Wild Kat, for a while now; we've gone a couple times a year since they opened. I will say, they are making small changes for the better! The staff is noticeably better than my previous visit. There's a lot of intention and care that I hadn't seen before. There is a lot to do, and the staff do a good job making sure that the kids stay safe and everyone's having a good time. The new membership opportunity has made this a much more affordable option which I'm happy to see! I think the only thing stopping me from giving this five stars is the lack of seating at times. It's something to consider if you're bringing older family or friends or individuals that require seating. I also think that there is a lack of a nursing room, or a more quiet area for mothers with young babies. All the noise and stimulation is a lot to take in at times. Apart from that, I actually had a lot of fun chasing my kids in the main obstacle course. We will be back! read more

Wild Katz is our favorite place to go on weekend mornings. From 9am-10am, they only allow 5yo and under, so my 21mo loves it. He gets a kick out of all the obstacles and rooms and loves the designated young child area. My husband has purchased a pretzel several times, and says they are good. I highly recommend this if your child needs to burn some energy! If they're little, though, get them there early. The big kids are intimidating when they start to arrive. This was a popular place on a rainy day! Probably popular on hot days, too. We're in town for a few days and my boy needed some runaround time, so we spent a couple of hours here. It's mainly one big climbing structure, but there are some climbing towers and other attractions as well as "jellyball" and small party areas. Long overdue review from April 23rd Visit of this year. This is such a great place to either watch your kid run around and enjoy themselve and or jump in on the action along with them. First impressions : cool indoor jungle gym with a jungle theme. Safety awareness and keeping track of parents and children and all other visitors was impressive. The only other place I recall seeing something of the sort was the last time I went to Chuck E. Cheese. I was on a budget and time constraint during my visit here sp I had decided to just pay for my child and observe. Unlike some previous family venues I've gone to that make you pay an entrance fee, this place did not. They differentiate wristband colors in order to keep track of times and reminding guests when their playtime is over. My son had a great time going through the attractions and was amused at his surrounding peers as excited as he was. The staff here was very observant and I am pleased to see that there were no phones on the floor in order for them to be more more alert to the children amongst them. While there, their were a number of parties going on, and I noticed different food in each area that wasn't on their menu. I asked a staff member who told me that as long as you pay for the space and bring the allowed number of guests, then you are able to bring in your own food and cake. I thought that was great! I've done many parties at the park verses having them at a restaurant or family venue due to the fact that I can't bring in my own food. During the visit, my child had gotten a small scratch on his arm and we asked the woman at the snack bar for a bandaid. I thought they wouldn't provide anything but was roused when she presented a decent safety kit. We then asked the same woman for a cup of water and she gave us (I think a 12oz) a decent cup size for ice and water. Upon exiting the staff verifies members of your party and checks that your party all has similar colored bands. They thanked us and we went our way. Next time I visit I plan on paying to play as well so I don't miss out on the fun. read more

My daughter had a blast playing on the equipment. Great variety for kids of all ages. Snack bar was average food you'd find at these sorts of places. Pretzel was good! Bathrooms were clean which is awesome, especially for how busy it was. Biggest thing I wish would change is more employees in the play areas watching, because unfortunately not all parents & kids follow the rules (kids way older than 5 in the toddler area, kids with food/drinks on the equipment) and that can make it a bummer for other families that are trying to play. read more

I love this place. I'm currently on vacation and was wanting to do something fun for the kids that allowed me to relax after a long day of traveling. Wild Katz is the perfect place to entertain younger children. They have indoor playgrounds, climbing walls, and even an indoor jelly ball (paintball but less painful). It's was $64 for two unlimited play wristbands and two pairs of socks. We spent about 3 hours here and the kids were pooped. Their food court food is actually really good and cheaply priced. This place is 3min from my house; idk what took me so long to bring my 4yr old. I knew my daughter would love it. But when she said "this is better than Nastya's vacation!!" I won all the cool points!!! We came for an hour, but I'm sure baby girl could do 2hrs easily in order to get a good amount of time on all the play areas. There's a wait for the bungee activities because only 2 kids were allowed at once. It wasn't a problem bc the line moved at a good pace, but it ate away at playing time. By the time we found our way to the obstacle course, it was closed for cleaning. I read all the reviews before deciding to come here. I was hesitant due to some not-so-great reviews, but I do tend to give too much credence to google and Yelp reviews. Living in Tucson, there's nothing else that comes even close to what Wild Katz offers for the 5-12 year old crowd. Being that it's spring break and that I have a 5 and 10 year old to entertain (I.e. find a way to burn off their energy), I was debating driving up to Phoenix since there are several indoor playgrounds up there to choose from. However, I wasn't feeling the drive this morning, so Wild Katz it was. From the moment I walked in, this place fit the bill. In reality, I'd give it four stars, but since there's no competition, this is a solid 4.5 star by default, so I rounded up. When you enter, you sign the waivers on iPads positions at the entrance before you even go up to the register. Since doing the waiver online beforehand is possible, I like the efficiency of this set up. We were greeted by an employee who got us set up and gave us our Wild Katz socks. As toddlers, my kids both wore grippy socks. These are not those, as the grips on these are far superior and the quality of the sock actually impressed me. I'm a sock person (lame, I know) and am not easily impressed by socks, so take that for what it is. They gave my kiddos their socks and we proceeded to the shoe removal area. The employee had told us that if the socks didn't fit, we could exchange them. My daughter's pair were a bit tight (she's got huge feet... lol) so we took them back and they replaced them immediately. Sock situation complete. Another comment on the employees at the front, they both appeared friendly and our person even entertained my daughter's desire to start a conversation and immediately had to inform him that her friend was having a party here tomorrow and that she lost a tooth in the parking lot right before she came in. Yes, that actually happened () but he was very friendly about it. She can be quite the talker. Once in, my five year old got his feet wet on the five and under area. He's a hesitant little dude, so I was really impressed at how nice this area was. It's not a tiny after thought area as some bounce house places have for the littles. Instead it's a full size climbing area, just for them, just a hair smaller and easier to navigate. Well done. The 2 and under crew have their own corral for independent play. It's pretty small, but the twosies don't really need much beyond that. Besides, the target audience for these indoor playgrounds is really the bigger kids who would otherwise turn their homes and backyards into their own private Parkour obstacle courses. Throughout our 90 minute session, I saw employees walking throughout the play areas, some light cleaning going on throughout with some deeper cleaning in some areas, and announcing when sessions were over. While some places like this charge a flat rate for the day, I actually like the time limits. As someone who sometimes has had to drag my kiddos away (not literally) from places like this before, I like that it's the employees breaking the news to my kids. For a Friday morning during spring break, the facility wasn't too crowded. There were plenty of kids, but there were so many places for them to roam and explore that it was great. We didn't eat here, as I was eying the O Sushi restaurant across the parking lot when we pulled in, but it's your standard unhealthy kid fare. It's not a criticism, it looked tasty and there were plenty of people making there way over there, they just didn't have options I would choose. That said, since you're paying for play time, I didn't want to waste those precious minutes stopping my kids to eat something. As for the smell that other reviews were unimpressed with... It's a large facility where tons of sweaty/stinky kids enter from the heat of Tucson, remove their stinky shoes (my kiddos included), pop on socks and then proceed to run and sweat to their little hearts' content. I will say that after five minutes, I was pretty nose-blind to it. So it wasn't a big deal at all. Another review mentioned inappropriate music. While I could tell there was music in the background, I honestly have no idea what they were singing over the screams of happy children. And I was totally fine with that. Last, but not least, there are various forms of seating available all over, concentrated around the main play structures. I sat on a bench seat with a cushioned back and it was surprisingly comfortable. I happily ignored my Apple Watch's reminder to stand up. Wild Katz - if/when you decide to upgrade to a bigger place, I would LOVE a dedicated parent/guardian room and wifi. One of the best indoor play structures I went to last year was in TX and it allowed me to get some work done for my job while my kids happily ran around for hours. This place is like an expensive correctional center. I've read through the negative reviews and the business's absurd responses. My children had on one wild katz sock and another very grippy sock from Defy. They were playing fine until my daughter went to use the "bearkat boulder" area and had to wait until she had both wild katz socks to participate. The employee that policed us said this is policy for safety and then suggested i give my daughter's wild katz sock to my much younger/smaller son so I'd only have to purchase one pair. If this is about safety - wouldn't it be MUCH MORE unsafe for my son to have on a slippery way too big sock, versus a different brand 's very grippy sock?? Right. So it's purely about money. What exactly does branding have to do with it, as well? Do you think my kids are wearing their grippy socks with no shoes around town? Who are we needing to advertise to when everyone there has already paid the "low" price to get in? Who is staring at children's feet so much to even notice or care what socks they have on? Side note - the prices aren't low at all. It's actually really expensive - shocker. So basically - it's just that they bully you into it because they can and they want to squeeze you for every penny possible. Additionally, there are no water fountains to note. Water cups aren't offered for free. I came by myself with three kids and now have to sit and watch our waters because there are signs posted all over by the tables that essentially, if i want to go watch my children play, our waters that I had to pay for will be thrown away. My only other option is to carry 4 cups around the entire time...not really feasible for one person. This is not a family friendly/budget friendly place, especially if you are a single parent or happen to be by yourself with your kids. It's a shame that i now have all of these wild katz socks because we will surely never be returning. I guess they'll be great for branding from the trash. read more

We had a fabulous time here!!! Super clean and the kids LOVED their time spent here (age 4-13 in my group). I went in all the play areas myself and had a blast! You do have to purchase their grip socks and they have a nice snack bar area. I think it would be a cool birthday venue. read more
