I went here with my friends a while back and i payed 35$ for points to play and we used it on ONE claw macine thing and it said error so we swiped it again still error so we kept trying, we got one play out of the machine and moved on out of the 10 times we attempted to swip so we went downstairs to play the other ones and we realized we left our card possibly upstairs so we a run back upstairs to try to find it but we couldn't find it so we asked the customer service desk if we can have a new card and us card before original points on it. We still had at least 160 points on the card or at least we thought apparently another used our point and we had like 10 left after that so we asked for renewal, but they said that WE were the ones to the same claw machine I mean technically we did but it kept saying error, but they treated us like we were the ones in the wrong or criminals. I guess the expanse which was not a good experience and it was a complete scam not going back again.ice cream was good though read more

If I could give 0 stars I would but customer Service was crappy from the start. First after spending $268 they didn't have the keychain he came for which we were told after spending our money. Secondly, we couldn't get our for the cars. We had one after finally finding somebody me willing to help us how they went on the card and made it sound like but after spending $200 collecting the set of 3000 tickets they let us know that was only it all at once finally after they told they would not fix it even though they said they could, but it was against policy. We wanted to use our credit app and both machine machines to our credits on the way out. read more

I came here with a work group for karaoke a week ago and was disappointed with what round one had to offer for karaoke. For one, though they allow you to rent a room, You can only rent for one hour at a time and then have to potentially go to a waitlist for anyone waiting. This is an efficient process, as I feel like they should at least allow you to book for two hours. Another issue was that the karaoke room was as bright as a high school football stadium on a Friday night. Typically when you go to Friday night karaoke, the lights are dim or have some kind of fun flashing lights or anything like that but nothing of that sort, just a bright room. The next issue is the lack of choice in party packages when it comes to ordering food. There is only one option which is one large pizza, 12 wings and a side of fries or tater tots for $47. To me, this is overpriced...especially for just a large pizza and not to mention the side of fries or tater tots portion is incredibly small for a large group. It's more fitting for two people to share. As we were in the karaoke room, we asked if they would bring it to the room when it was ready and they would not. That also seemed like something they could easily do but whatever...they did say we would hear it over the speaker in the room when it was ready, which was a lie. When we went to go check on the order, we were told I had been sitting there for 10 minutes already. I don't understand why the karaoke room doesn't come with an attendant..you pay enough for it. The cod was okay. Pizza mediocre, but I was a little impressed by the wings, specifically the lemon pepper ones. They have a breading on them that gave some crisp but not too crunchy. The Buffalo wings were typical Buffalo wings, had that tangy flavor. Some felt they were very spicy, I did not at all. Some questioned of the food made them sick over the weekend, idk. The actual karaoke machine was cool as it seemed as it seems as though it had all of the songs our diverse group requested. It also was pretty loud and the microphone was pretty sensitive to pick up your voice. It's kinda disappointing when you check the menu online, find there are some things that meet your dietary restrictions, then show up to find they're not making those things. The menu doesn't indicate hours available for Japanese items (rice bowls and such). I ended up eating tater tots for my dinner. Otherwise, the place is fun, clean, with plenty of choices for games to play. Staff were friendly and helpful with one important exception. The bartender (or whoever was covering for the actual bartender) was slow, unfriendly and didn't seem to know what he was doing. I never saw someone behind a bar move as slowly or awkwardly as this guy! He had to repeatedly refer to the recipe to make one of their signature drinks. Round1 is a Japanese owned company. I heard about it from some friends of mine who visited and said they enjoy the Round1 location near where they live. So, based on their recommendation, my husband and I decided to give it a try for date night. The two stars are for the arcade part of Round1. They have a ton of arcade games ranging from DDR, 3D games, VR, and your typical games where you win tickets. The majority of their games are the claw grabber games where you can win stuffed animal prizes. They have the large stuffed animals down to little small ones. Unfortunately, a lot of their games (about 25%) were out of service when we went. We were able to make it work and spent about $100 in game credits. We ended up winning a large stuffed plush and a small one. We also got a medium-sized one from the ticket exchange prizes area, along with some candy necklaces. As for the food, I give zero stars. They have very limited food options even with both Japanese and American food on the menu. My husband and I both ordered Teriyaki chicken rice bowls, and he ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. The Teriyaki chicken bowls were topped with sliced ginger (which I absolutely hate the taste of), and therefore, it ruined most of the dish. My husband didn't even eat his Teriyaki bowl. The mozzarella sticks were bland and tasted mostly of frying oil. If we ever go back, we will only go back for the arcade and eat elsewhere either prior to or after. read more

I always have a great time at Round1! Karaoke is my favorite activity there, but I love their selection of games, too! They have bowling, billiards, arcade games, and the infamous Japanese UFO catchers/crane games. The food is decent, but I can't complain about $2 ice cream. read more

Round 1 is pretty cool and I'm glad there's a location close to where I generally hang out. We go for an hour or so every couple of months to just play some games and unwind a bit, and it's a great place to do so. The prices for the credits are a little high, depending on what games you like to play. Luckily we love skee ball, which takes less credits, so we get a lot of fun out of our money. They keep the spaces pretty clean and kept up. The machines are almost always up and running. We had one problem once, and we went to customer service where they quickly and kindly rectified the issue. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The ice cream must be good because I see people walking around the mall with cones all the time, but I've yet to try any food for myself. It seems pretty basic -- burgers and fries kind of stuff. Their mobile app is kind of useless. You have to have your physical card to play regardless of if you have the app or not, which is kinda lame. read more

We had a nice evening here did a family get together. On a Friday night it wasn't super packed though it was busy which was nice. M We mainly focused on bowling and the arcades and a few of us got food. The food was just ok. It's mostly bar/fried food which I guess is good for most of the kids and young people who go there. They do have .99 ice cream scoops which was nice. I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious. Prices are fair though of course some of the games are expensive but that's to be expected. The only thing I really didn't like was that the ONLY bathroom was downstairs. Definitely not convenient when a little kid needs to go in the middle of a game. They check bags and use a metal detector when you first walk in. But I didn't experience any issues that made me feel unsafe. read more

Let me start by saying the third star...is for the bowling alleys. Let's start on the positive. Clean, well maintained bowling alleys, and balls in GREAT condition. I took a friend here as we both were curious what it was like. We bowled a game (I think it Was 6 or 7 dollars). I went to get us a couple sodas, and the ordering system is a bit confusing...but I figured it out. We then wanted to play games. I got a card and loaded it with $. I noticed the games were higher tokens needed than Dave and Busters. I went through 30 bucks in a half an hour. There are two levels, and the bottom floor has most of the crane grab type games. Rows and rows of them. There were some cool games, but I feel there is so much more potential. Its ok...but I think Dave and Busters offers more for games . I may come back here for bowling...but thats it. read more

I'll absolutely give Round1 another shot, but my first visit was a bit disappointing. Half the games were down for maintenance or replacement and the rules about where you could go with food and alcohol were pretty ambiguous. They also didn't have ingredients for a lot of the drinks on their menu, but it's off-season, so I'll try again. The upsides were that our large group won a lot of prizes collectively and the food and drinks that we were able to order were very good. read more

I took my niece and nephew for a day of fun. They definitely enjoyed all the games and picking out the prizes with their tickets they won. I would bring them back because it's very kid friendly and of course a cool place to be during the summer days. The only reason I am doing 4 stars is because a good handful of the "games" is trying to use the claw to get stuffed animals. There are way too many, in my opinion, and the game of rigged. Arcade lovers: rejoice in paradise. Our sanctuary of visual and auditory stimulation is here! I'm so very happy that Round1 has found a home in Tucson. In fact, it sits very comfortably inside the remnants of an old Sears. I was lucky enough to visit on the opening day, which drew in large crowds and lines. But let me tell ya, it was well worth the wait and 2 hour drive. The staff and game attendants did a great job dealing with the large crowds on opening day. Upon entrance, a sea of colorful lights and enticing sounds lures you in. You find yourself surrounded by machines of the arcade variety, that flash and chime at you. Whether it be the vintage nostalgia of a tabletop pinball machine, or the entrancing HD graphics of a newer release, arcade games can truly be enjoyed by all. A full-service bar can be found on the left side, as well as a café/food concessions stand. There are bench seatings that were available for resting. I tried the "Shake-It" seasoned fries, and the pepperoni pizza. The 98cent ice cream cones are a staple of the Round1 experience. Coffee flavor recommended! The bowling-alley is located directly in the back. Although it's tucked away a bit in the corner, this makes for a more personal experience for group bonding. The return-gutters are newly updated and smooth. At one point I forgot I was still inside Round1, instead of an actual bowling alley! Let's talk Selections: Music/Rhythm game fans behold: -the latest machines are imported from Japan -the diversity is outstanding -some of the games are fully in Japanese There are the latest racing games (InitialD #8, Mario Kart GP) as well as ticket redemption games. I was surprised to see how organized the games are in accordance to their genre. One could easily spend hours here, immersed in the fun, of not an entire day! The prize wall is quite impressive and expansive in selection as well. Most impressive, is the downstairs level. Row after row of imported Japanese crane-games greet you with friendly smiles. They even have posted notes on the sides with tips and hints on how to win a beloved prize. And let me tell you, those prizes are amazing. Anime lovers and otaku-fans rejoice *. Crane-game fans, welcome to heaven. PRO TIP: do not approach these machines with the traditional "claw" grabbing technique. The Round1 machines borrow from the SEGA UFO catchers, which encourage a more strategic pushing and prodding method in order to secure the prize. If you have a day to spend with close ones, I would highly recommend coming to Round1. Not only is it an experience, it's a memorable journey that brings excitement and joy. The long wait is over! Welcome to AZ Round1! Wasn't expecting Tucson to be the first location out in the state but had to come down from the Valley to see if it lived up to the name. This location is 2 stories in size and for imagination, took up a previous department store front. Yes there are arcade games you would see at Dave and Buster's but there are plenty of other games or attractions like claw grabbers, rhythm/beat games, and fighters, along with offerings like karaoke, billiards/pool, bowling, and party rooms/packages. Round1 comes from Japan and although not as large this place was still better than many locations I've been to in LA. The prizes from tickets and from claw grabbers seem to follow Round1 standards and are not a generic cheap item. Things we saw from claw grabbers while we were there were also offered in japan or LA. Register and get familiar with the app for discounts. We played billiards for a few bucks cheaper cause of this. There was a minor issue with incorect tax at a kiosk that overcharged me but was quickly corrected by the staff behind the counter As for food, we took a break and hit the food court of the mall it was attached to but inside there is a bar and dining area with menu items like wings, tenders, churros, and ice cream that is $0.99! I'm hopeful that this location booms so that we see them come up to the PHX valley. In the meantime I'll make the drive down when I need to scratch the plushie itch. read more

FUN TIME FOR WEEBS AND KIDS! They have a lot of Japanese games here ranging from Project Diva to Initial D racing. They even a purikura photo booth! They also have all of the American classic arcade games too, including coin pushers, one of my favorites! In the basement they have a variety of claw games where you can win prizes. I heard in the past they had a lot of cute plushies and anime figures, but on this instance unfortunately they did not. They had some chibi Sailor Moon figures and that's it. Only a couple of cute plushie options. They had multiple machines that had Korean Buldak Ramen for some reason, which is so easy to buy at the store, unlike plushies or figures, and who wants to win instant ramen?! The claw games here are not rigged, so you are able to win if you have skill! Love that. We spent ~$60 on credits and had fun for at least 1.5 hours, I wasn't keeping track of time. I'd come back, it seems the prizes change frequently so maybe next time there will be better options for me. read more

We needed 2 lanes, but that wasn't available, unless we wanted to try "virtual bowling" which NO ONE wanted to use. those "virtual lanes" remained unused the whole time we were there. Why not just use those lanes for actual bowling. Paid for 1 Hr of bowling, 15 minute of that was going back & forth with staff. The scoreboard wasn't accurate. Knocked over pins were not being cleared by the machine. Super frustrating & we weren't the only ones having this issue. Staff seems disinterested & not helpful. Place is way overpriced. $400 for Bowling, pizza and soda. It was supposed to also include a group photo, but they never did it. I gotta say, I've been watching them build this for a year. I've got tons and tons of BEFORE & AFTER pictures of this joint with great anticipation! Altho, guessing it was a mixture between Dave & Busters and Peter Piper Pizza, We don't have anything like this in our entire state. I've peeked in the windows, bug the construction workers and snuck pictures whenever I could.... OPENING DAY October 19th 2019. We pretty much flock in right away! The whole place itself is about A QUARTER of the size of the building it took over, Sears. The entire rest of Sears is completely empty, probably waiting to split up and rent out. Downstairs are the restrooms, place to buy game cards, the prize room & a ton of games. You can also buy game cards from the machines BUT at the moment it doesn't take CASH, so you'll have to go down stairs. Upstairs has two party rooms, a bar, pool tables, bowling area, snack bar, ice cream & a ton MORE GAMES! Bowling is expensive & yes, you can probably bowl somewhere else but the point of being HERE is to experience it. Pricing for games are all different. You will see the card insert slot, which are different colors. The green ones are average games & you do not receive anything in return. ie; no game tickets to cash in. Then you have blue/rainbow slots that are more expensive games, but also get prizes, rewards or tickets in return. A card is $2.00 & they charge TAX on any deal you get so if you order the $20 deal it's $21+change. Majority of the games seem to be 5+ credits PER GAME. If you were to buy the $20 credit 'deal', you'd probably get 5 games out of it. Cards are refillable. Another cool feature, games that you win tickets on, GO ONTO your game card... instead of a pile of wasting paper tickets to count and cash in. Some days are obviously busier than others. Some TIMES are busier than others. They are open from 10AM till 2AM! They have children party deals and adult party deals. Prices change. We just go in, put cash on a card & go from there. We ate lunch. Chicken fingers/French fries & a cheese burger. Both delicious. The ranch dressing is YUMMY. The employees are all very nice, friendly and always willing to help you out. I wanna SHOUT OUT TO KIARA for explaining the cash on card thing! She's sweet as pie, maybe even sweeter. It is a very fun, bright, place but *expect* to spend some money. It is NOT CHEAP. Recent visit, I spend $22 on game card refill and $17 on lunch for two, not bad. read more

Total @$$hat of a clerk, wannabe "Paul Bart - Mall Cop" took 30 minutes to "look at my record" before handing over my prize after I surrendered my 6500ish tickets. Totally uncalled for. AND he was extremely rude and harassing, to the point of threatening, in the process. On top of which, after INITIALLY forming him I had a transit transportation coming in five minutes, his 30 minute session of craniorectal inversion caused me to miss my HANDICAPPED transportation.
