I came here for one purpose and one purpose ONLY: to play maimai. The food might be overpriced and everyone else's complaints might be valid but I was able to play maimai and it was so fun and I loved it so FIVE OUT OF FIVE!!!

I came here with a work group for karaoke a week ago and was disappointed with what round one had to offer for karaoke. For one, though they allow you to rent a room, You can only rent for one hour at a time and then have to potentially go to a waitlist for anyone waiting. This is an efficient process, as I feel like they should at least allow you to book for two hours. Another issue was that the karaoke room was as bright as a high school football stadium on a Friday night. Typically when you go to Friday night karaoke, the lights are dim or have some kind of fun flashing lights or anything like that but nothing of that sort, just a bright room. The next issue is the lack of choice in party packages when it comes to ordering food. There is only one option which is one large pizza, 12 wings and a side of fries or tater tots for $47. To me, this is overpriced...especially for just a large pizza and not to mention the side of fries or tater tots portion is incredibly small for a large group. It's more fitting for two people to share. As we were in the karaoke room, we asked if they would bring it to the room when it was ready and they would not. That also seemed like something they could easily do but whatever...they did say we would hear it over the speaker in the room when it was ready, which was a lie. When we went to go check on the order, we were told I had been sitting there for 10 minutes already. I don't understand why the karaoke room doesn't come with an attendant..you pay enough for it. The cod was okay. Pizza mediocre, but I was a little impressed by the wings, specifically the lemon pepper ones. They have a breading on them that gave some crisp but not too crunchy. The Buffalo wings were typical Buffalo wings, had that tangy flavor. Some felt they were very spicy, I did not at all. Some questioned of the food made them sick over the weekend, idk. The actual karaoke machine was cool as it seemed as it seems as though it had all of the songs our diverse group requested. It also was pretty loud and the microphone was pretty sensitive to pick up your voice. If they would just change the ambience and give you better service, the karaoke rooms could be greatly improved.

Round1 is a Japanese owned company. I heard about it from some friends of mine who visited and said they enjoy the Round1 location near where they live. So, based on their recommendation, my husband and I decided to give it a try for date night. The two stars are for the arcade part of Round1. They have a ton of arcade games ranging from DDR, 3D games, VR, and your typical games where you win tickets. The majority of their games are the claw grabber games where you can win stuffed animal prizes. They have the large stuffed animals down to little small ones. Unfortunately, a lot of their games (about 25%) were out of service when we went. We were able to make it work and spent about $100 in game credits. We ended up winning a large stuffed plush and a small one. We also got a medium-sized one from the ticket exchange prizes area, along with some candy necklaces. As for the food, I give zero stars. They have very limited food options even with both Japanese and American food on the menu. My husband and I both ordered Teriyaki chicken rice bowls, and he ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. The Teriyaki chicken bowls were topped with sliced ginger (which I absolutely hate the taste of), and therefore, it ruined most of the dish. My husband didn't even eat his Teriyaki bowl. The mozzarella sticks were bland and tasted mostly of frying oil. If we ever go back, we will only go back for the arcade and eat elsewhere either prior to or after.

disappointing, expensive, and overrated. I had a card worth 279 and the lady working at the point desk wouldn't give me something for 280. 1 POINT. The food was the only thing that was alright-ish. the place is bright and crazy. the amount of money we spent just for 1 HOUR is crazy. Over $200. a plate of wings was $40 ABSOLUTELY INSANE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

If looking for a cool indoor place to take the family to burn off some energy & spend some cash with a chance to win some cool prizes bring the group to Round 1 with lots of games & entertainment for the entire family. The snack bar is reasonably priced & they even off a .99 ice cream cone can't beat that in this desert heat!

Let me start by saying the third star...is for the bowling alleys. Let's start on the positive. Clean, well maintained bowling alleys, and balls in GREAT condition. I took a friend here as we both were curious what it was like. We bowled a game (I think it Was 6 or 7 dollars). I went to get us a couple sodas, and the ordering system is a bit confusing...but I figured it out. We then wanted to play games. I got a card and loaded it with $. I noticed the games were higher tokens needed than Dave and Busters. I went through 30 bucks in a half an hour. There are two levels, and the bottom floor has most of the crane grab type games. Rows and rows of them. There were some cool games, but I feel there is so much more potential. Its ok...but I think Dave and Busters offers more for games . I may come back here for bowling...but thats it.

    So many prizes

I'll absolutely give Round1 another shot, but my first visit was a bit disappointing. Half the games were down for maintenance or replacement and the rules about where you could go with food and alcohol were pretty ambiguous. They also didn't have ingredients for a lot of the drinks on their menu, but it's off-season, so I'll try again. The upsides were that our large group won a lot of prizes collectively and the food and drinks that we were able to order were very good.

Bowling is great, this is a large edamame. I double checked and the lady confirmed this was the large order.

Ask the Community - Round1 Bowling & Arcade - Tucson

What's the rate for hourly play?

You start at min wage, checks come in every other week

Do they have any working photo booths here?

Just there today (Feb 2024) and there were at least six working photo booths (and a couple that seemed dormant!)

What are the prices for the arcade?

If you're talking credit prices (credits are what are used to activate games) then it varies in price based on how many credits you want to load onto a game card…

She was not friendly or helpful & didn't show her face for 20 mins or more after we received our food to see if everything was ok or we needed anything else. I finally went up to the bar to ask about their beers. That woman was extremely nice, friendly & helpful. Gave me 2 tastes & said she'd send our server over to get our beer order. No server showed up until we done. Another man who walked by helped us too since we never saw our server & he was nice & helpful too. My husband is from Buffalo, NY. He has been to the original Anchor Bar & had LOTS of buffalo wings in Buffalo. He got the Beef on Weck, with fries & 5 wings with the Bourbon BBQ sauce for $19.99. His wings & fries were good but the Beef on Weck was a huge disappointment. Not much meet & the bun was not like the "Weck" he has had. I ordered 10 wings: 5 Bourbon BBQ & 5 mild Buffalo. The BBQ wings were excellent. Crispy on the outside, but moist, sauced, very good. The buffalo wings were horrible. They looked liked they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. They had zero sauce, were so dried out, tough & 2 were absolutely minuscule. I mean tiny. They were so bad. I had to wait forever & never saw our server so I finally just asked another server. I said it was our first time in that particular restaurant & asked if they were supposed to be this way. He said, he could bring me sauce which he did. When our server finally did show up, I showed her & told her that they had no sauce & were dried up. She said they did have sauce. I pointed to the sauced bbq & then to the Buffalo which absolutely did not have sauce because it was all dried up. They do have sauce. She was one of the worst servers we've ever had. The Blue Cheese was great but we each got one celery stick which seemed pretty stingy when my meal was "10 wings, celery & blue cheese". So yeah, it was a huge disappointment & overall extremely poor experience.

I've been to Dave & Buster's before in California, but this is my first time actually going to one in Arizona and this one's located at the Tucson marketplace. I've been to other Arcade parties but compared to Peter Piper's or Chuck E Cheese the atmosphere I much prefer. I went at 8 pm and the place was not crazy busy, with many families enjoying food in booths and gaming. The father of my Godson was playing trivia in the bar area/dinning area guarding with birthday presents. I found the seats really comfortable with a full bar available and a number of people enjoying beers at the bar with food. The selection of games to play was so vast for the kids. The God kids are under ten years old, so older children might have different tastes, but plenty of skeet ball, claw machines, racer games were available, as well as traditional arcade video games. I played a round of trivia with six other players and won that round. I prefer with night time atmosphere at Dave and Busters to the bright dining space of Peter Piper. I think because it was the latest time of day I've ever gone to a arcade party, there were far fewer kids yelling and having melt downs. This was the most positive experience attending a party an arcade that I ever remember having. It was so fun. The family had food and play packages for the event and you pick how much play you want; prices vary dramatically from $19 for $10 of play and an appetizer, to the upper end of a $60 power card for unlimited play all day plus an appetizer. The store had its own specials and i believe the family had two $40 power cards that were gifted by an uncle for gaming. During the time I was there, many staff came by to make check if I needed food and drink while I was enjoying the trivia. Due to winning a round of trivia, we were given a voucher for the arcade prize store, which had the kids happy with more spending power. Mission accomplished for a happy birthday.
