    Dinning area and games
    Daniel A.

Sticky shoes, sticky shoes Always makes me smile Sticky shoes, sticky shoes Next time I'll avoid the pile... None sticky floors for the most part. One of the larger CEC we've been to. The service was a bit slow for a birthday no one came over to the table to take the order so our party went to the counter to do it. There is a trampoline area as well as play pen. You need to pay extra for that. They did have a few games for toddlers in the middle. Is it me or did you used to get more tickets for skee-ball back in the day? There were a few of the games not in service. Not to mention the photo car had left a bunch of photos all over the floor. Nothing like your kids faces all over. Food was what you'd expect. Pizza was pizza and baby wings had more bone than wing. Kids enjoyed it always the best part of anything. Shoes didn't stick to the ground like suction cups another plus. God bless

Came to celebrate my son's birthday. The tables closest to the entrance were dirty. I asked to borrow a towel and the young lady came to clean the tables, but didn't wipe the chairs. The food took over an hour. The two times I approached the window, I saw the guy fixed his sweaty hair by using his bare hands to move it to the back. (I hope he uses globes to fix the food.) The kitchen doesn't communicate with the front so the people in charge of giving out the salad plates didn't know we ordered a $16.99 salad on the app and wouldn't give us a plate. There are no napkins at the tables. We all know the claw machines are manipulated so that they don't have the strength to grab anything, but the scam goes beyond at this place. $3 for 1 try $5 for 2 and 5 for $10. I put in 2 $5 dollar bills which simple math would say I get 5 plays. We only got two plays. I went to the manager and explained that I put in $10 but only got two plays. She gave me 2 plays. A good customer service person would have said, I'll give you the 3 plays but next time it must be a $10 bill to give you 5 plays, but no. She said it was clearly stated there. I took a picture and it doesn't say that the bills need to be exact amount. Chuck E. Cheese needs to learn his moves and be more enthusiastic! What a disappointment.

    My girls enjoying the playpen

My husband and I brought our girls here for my oldest daughter's 4th birthday. I hadn't been to a Chuckee Cheese since I was a kid, so I wasn't sure what to expect. There have been so many changes but for the most part it's still the same. A lot of games, a playpen area, dining area, food section and of course the ticket redemption area. My girls spent majority of the time playing in the playpen area. They played some of the games, but we noticed a lot of the games were not working so that was a bummer. We took a lot of photos in the photo booth. I miss the animatronics band they used to have when I was growing up in the 90s. I knew they got rid of those years ago, but it was always one of my favorite things about Chuckee Cheese. We didn't end up eating here so I can't say whether the food is good but overall, I would say it's a good place to bring your kids for some fun.

I recently visited the new Chuck E. Cheese location in whittier, and overall, I had a pretty good experience. I love that the new location is so close to home. The ninja run and trampoline area are such a nice addition. There's also an employee there ensuring everyone is playing safe. For a Check E. Cheese it was very clean, and at this time all the machines actually work, which is a nice touch. However, I did notice that the service could use some improvement. The staff seemed a bit confused and overwhelmed at the register where you purchase your tap cards and food, it was a weekend so it was very busy. But for now, I'll definitely be back for the food and convenience!

Dry with no sauce or cheese ..!

The cooks name is Ruben, but he doesn't know how to make a pizza. The manager's name is Amber and she's very rude. I took a picture of my pizza. You'll be the judge of it. Dry with no cheese is my opinion there's are other better locations these people here don't know customer service. There's another person working here. Seems like she's somebody she understood what the situation was, just found out her name is Amy she's a manager also, but they didn't care about the situation, and didn't bother to say anything or try to help. The place is not that big neither save your time and money go to another Chuck E. Cheese

New CEC location in Whittier. I wanted to come while it's new and clean; it didn't disappoint! This location is still fresh, but I'm curious about how it will age over time. So much is the same from my childhood and so much is also different. I appreciate the easily reloadable tap cards, which makes regular visits seamless. We've been 3x and surprisingly, there haven't been too many people, tables and games are accessible. The staff is young, but kind and professional. Prices have gone up, so buying the monthly pass definitely makes sense. Food is good. Different than back in the day, but on par with what you'd expect from CEC.

There's bowling available, karaoke, and a food area in between. Entrance is accessible through the mall or through the parking lot. Parking is free, plentiful in a sizeable lot for the Puentes Hill Mall. I've had my R1 card for over a decade and I've seen them have many collaborations over the years, most offer different collab plushies, and when you refill your credits, you usually get a extra reward from it. (etc: keychains, various merch, tumblers, and sometimes even a different R1 physical card) If you're a big fan of arcades, this is the spot to go. My partner and I always come out with 5+ plushies every time and it's to the point where people be staring at us for having so many plushies. Some of the claw machines though are a bit tough, to the point where it does feel a bit rigged as it's coded differently. My favorite are the triple claws rather than the dual claws, they're definitely better in terms of catching plushies out. Besides the claw machine, there's a variety of games machines in the back. They consist of racing, dancing, sports, RNG games, etc, all in the fun of the games. Some games give you tickets where you can redeem points from your card to get extra rewards, take it like a points shop. Overall, a very fun, spacious, and considerably expensive spot. You have so much fun in here that the time passes quite quickly. R1 is pretty clean and they have a great amount of staff that are able to assist you accordingly. Great spot overall.

The place has been around quite some time and kids do tend to make a mess, but they keep up after it. Parking is for a fee, but sometimes you get a game card that comes with the parking. It can get crowded in the summer and on weekends. We go on week days and have been several times. Now, the prices in here add up fast so be mindful of that, but it is the same as other similar places. Miniature golf is about 16$, a go kart is about 12$, the arcade can really add up so get a card that you can use for the wide variety of games they have. The bumper boats and Disk Thrill Ride are about 12$ per person. We love their little train and that is about 5$. You can get a two hour wrist band and we do that and save a lot that way. However, I'm giving this place a four star rating because I don't think I'd find myself coming back. It's probably a five star experience for a younger crowd, but my knees could only handle so much. We decided on the 90 minute play time and it was more than enough time to enjoy the facility. At this location, we took turns on the mechanic bull, braved the ninja obstacle course, tried roller skating/roller blading, jumped on the trampolines, and raced each other in the arcade. There was a lot more to play, but these were the activities that we were most interested in. We arrived closer to the opening time so it wasn't very busy when we were here. This was nice because it made a lot of the activities more accessible. I think that Spo Cha is a great place to try something new! I like that they emphasize safety and provide the appropriate gear for specific activities at no additional cost. It's an excellent value for your money compared to other adventure parks.

Coming back years later with somewhat optimistic expectations, it sadly now looks like a shell of what it could have been. On Sunday afternoon, we decided to check out Spo-Cha since we had nothing else to do while hanging out with friends. While I was already anticipating having to use shared equipment, it was honestly really gross seeing communal sports equipment just being hung up after use or thrown in the same bin for the next person to use... and not to mention, everything was VERY sweaty too. There were no attendants actively cleaning equipment (maybe one at the roller rink) and no form of paper towels or sprays to at least allow you to clean between use. Not sure if I was more afraid of potentially getting lice or ringworm, but I tried to avoid touching anything with cloth while I was there. If you're a parent, consider bringing extra disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer. The bathrooms were not the cleanest but were fine if you're just washing your hands frequently. Not to mention, there were kids running amok throughout the establishment. Again, while it is to be expected, I was still a little concerned seeing there be a lack of parental supervision for a LOT of young kids (toddlers included). Not only is it dangerous for them, who likely don't know any better, but also for older teens and adults trying to avoid knocking them over when they disrupt games or recklessly run into people around the roller rink. While at the very least, most of the sports were fine to play (e.g. billiards, table tennis, volleyball, pickleball, etc.), when it came to the arcade... half the machines were broken. And even if they worked, then a third of those would have something wrong with it. At that point, you'd rather spend your money at Round 1 next door for arcade games and somewhat of a nicer experience. Moving on to the dining area... We did get thirsty after a while and, after noticing a pitcher of water at an empty table, we asked if we could order one as well. The staff (hiding behind the self-order kiosks, since you do not have the option to order at the register) let us know that a pitcher of water costs $8. Needless to say, consider eating and drinking before/after you come here (or just fork up a few extra dollars for a soda instead). Sure, you can say that you get what you pay for, but this place seems to have been going downhill for a while. The only person really working was the employee in a black button up checking us in and out at the counter. He was very courteous and efficient, but seemed pretty overworked. Not sure what things look like behind the scenes, but it doesn't seem like anyone else other than him really cared about the quality or reputation of this place. Overall, if you're looking for a place to kill 3 hours with a $30 budget, you've found it. If you keep your expectations low enough, it's honestly not that terrible of a spot to try different sports or get a little exercise in while having some semblance of fun. But, if you have the chance to avoid it, avoid it. Or instead, consider catching a movie at AMC or heading to Round 1 before it meets the same fate as Spo-Cha.

My son was in the ball pit when this happened, and I noticed that there were wet footprints on the floor and on the edge of the pit. I grabbed the spray that they had and sprayed the area down, not thinking anything of it. One of the staff noticed that I did that and right away brought towels and sprays to clean the area and another staff member came over and asked me to take my son out because they were spraying chemicals in the pit area to sanitize. When I took him out, he was completely covered in pee all over the back of his shirt & shorts. My son wears diapers so I know it wasn't him. Of course, the place is already quite dirty as it is, especially since it's closing soon. Some of the rooms were cool. I like the balloon room and the lights, but some people should really read the rules. First off, this family blocked the stairway to get in. And one of the family members was this short, big guy who was just running in the balloon room in circles and popping all the balloons and kicking them around up over the walls. Now that's fine, but then me and boyfriend tried to make our way in and another couple too, were there. He continued to kick up a bunch of balloons, while me and another person was trying to take pictures. He even accidentally knocked down his daughter in the process. He was extremely obnoxious and even joked about it with his family members, who just laughed and took videos. Now most of the interactive stuff was bad. It was gross for the most part due to all the germs, dirt, and hair. The balls and balloons all have random dirty smears of brown and orange on them. The ball pit was very dirty. I assume they're not planning on sanitizing any time soon due to the exhibit closing down. Anyways, we go into the light room and the worker says stay in the path and don't the lights. After two minutes, all of a sudden these three kids run in and start going into the lights and grabbing them, she stares and doesn't say a thing to them. These kids are super rowdy so I say something, and then she says oh, yeah don't do that. Pretty useless in my opinion. Most of this stuff is geared towards kids, but my bar was already super low.
