    Bowlero is now Lucky Strike

I came to find out recently that Bowlero Corp had bought out Lucky Strike Entertainment in late 2023. They have been rebranding and integrating to the upscale Lucky Strike brand across its portfolio and expanding into broader entertainment, making "Lucky Strike" the parent company name. What does this mean? It means many former Bowlero centers are now becoming Lucky Strike locations to offer a more premium and diverse experience. Cool! I have been to this bowling alley 3 times now. It looks the same as before with the exception of the name on the outside wall of the building. I have already done a recent review under Bowlero Montebello. I am adding this review under Lucky Strike Montebello to provide some background history on the change in biz name. I plan to be back to bowl and experience it under Lucky Strike. Happy Bowling and Striking! May luck be on your side.

My kids wanted to bowl and play some games. The old Bowlero is now a Lucky strike. Much livelier than before. Spent $32 to play a few games. Got cool prices. For 3 people we paid $60 for bowling and shoes for one game. A little pricey and that's not including the pressure of leaving a tip. Upon bowling we requested they setup the bumpers in our lane but they never showed up. So many gutter balls lol oh well. We did enjoy the pizza and my kids were happy and that's all that counts.

Tell Katie she must have been drunk , I've never had anything like that , I eat there a lot foods always hot , the tables are down till party time !!! How can it be dirty , Priscilla, and Leilani have things taken care of , I'm there all the time I practically live there . I bowl 3 leagues at lucky strike .

Don't bring your cake here for a birthday , they won't put it in the freezer and it will melt by the time you get it for cutting!

Brought a cake for them to put in freezer by the time we got it out for cutting it was melted. They obviously forgot to put it in or they put it in the refrigerator not the freezer either way they lied to a saying they put it in the freezer.!!

Multiple times! And it was no less exciting. Our kids ranged in age from 5-11 years and they all had a blast. The employee who helped us was Robert. He really is what made our trip special. He helped us get started and would even help set the kids up to ensure a win when needed. He was so kind and attentive. The place was pretty busy but he seemed to be able to see everything that was going on and made sure every guest was having a good time. It was such a strange feeling to be somewhere that you can simply have fun at and not spend a ton of money with nothing to show for it. It was like being back at the malls in the 80s. It wasn't overstimulating, the pricing structure was fair, the prizes were great quality, and the attending worker was so sweet and not burnt out. We left feeling really satisfied and excited to return. We didn't feel defeated or swindled. We just truly had such a fun time. And honestly all thanks to Robert. He wanted us to win as much as we did. Claw Daddy is lucky to have someone like him there. The kids felt comfortable asking him for help and he was so warm and kind. I can't wait to go back. And this takes the cake as my all time favorite. The courses have great holes, with a large variety of simple classic style holes. But the place really shines in decor and atmosphere. It really leans into a more vintage vibe, considering this place is nearly 60 years old the grounds are immaculate, which is unheard of anywhere near LA. Amazing buildings and hedge arches dot the real turfed landscape. Vintage music plays out of old megaphones. Did I mention the place is massive? The parking lot holds maybe 400 cars, but expect it to be nearly full. It has vintage bumper boats, an arcade and 4 18 hole courses. Pricing is fair, 16.50 a person, and parking prices can vary but are usually free. Whoever maintains the grounds needs a serious raise, everything here is just perfect! COME AT NIGHT. This place really shines at night, when everything is lit up it is truly magical. One of the best in the nation, don't miss.

There were a few signs of aging around some of the cups and on some of the putting surfaces, but it is to be expected. I really wanted to score a 4.5, but gave it the full five because the mini-golf courses were so well-maintained. (Since we were there for a benefit and didn't pay admission, I cannot comment on the pricing or the relative value.)

Everything is set to free play with a paid admission fee. You can do hourly pay or a set price for all day play. There's probably about 60 different arcade style games ranging in many decades including 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s favorites. Pinball, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Marvel Vs Capcom (my jam), Super Smash Bros, Basketball Pro, Pac Man, NFL Blitz, Rampage (arcade game of my youth), Donkey Kong, Tron, The Simpsons and so many others. Soft drinks, great lighting, a spacious layout. Neon Retro offers cool holiday deals and specials, hosts fun events, IG giveaways and keeps the fun going all year long. It's still only $15 for unlimited hourly play or $25 for a day pass. No food is served here other than snacks (think chips and candy), but so many places closeby to eat before or after your Neon Retro Arcade fun!! It's not a barcade like EightyTwo or Player One so it's alcohol free. They're all welcoming and very personable. I do know they have a capacity limit and weekend tend to be the busiest until around 4 or 5 pm. Nights and weekends are definitely lower in foot traffic, but still great energy. I don't make it over too often, but highly recommend experiencing once or thrice. They just had a cool 50% off hourly prices for Bonus Level Loyalty Club members, and yes it's free to be a member :) Local street (meter), paid lot and garage parking available. Gender-neutral restrooms. Great for groups or just you.

Inside space is quite spacious with lots of bowling lanes. Clean and cozy! Bench seating down at the lanes is a great comfortable idea. Stool seating is also available. Neon decor gives it a lively atmosphere. Love the WOW and YES along both ends of the walls! They have a huge snack bar + dining area, a big room filled with pool tables, a decent size arcade, and of course, the one and only Pin Point Bowling Concepts pro shop. Staff was friendly and nice. We had one lane set up for the kids with bumper guards and two lanes for the adults, which worked out perfectly. They also had all shoe sizes available with no issues. Plenty of parking made everything really convenient. I actually used to come here years ago to volunteer with the Special Olympics bowling team, and I can definitely say they've done quite a few updates since then. The space feels refreshed and more modern while still being comfortable and welcoming. We ordered pizza, fries, and both bone-in and boneless wings. Everything was surprisingly good for a bowling spot, definitely better than expected. The food quality honestly caught me off guard in a good way. The music wasn't overly loud like some other bowling alleys I've been to, which made it easy to talk and enjoy the event. While I probably won't come back regularly due to the distance, I'd absolutely attend another event here if one is hosted. Overall, great experience and a fun place for group events!

They had about 4 portable fans but that did not help or make a difference. All of my guest were super uncomfortable it was embarrassing for me as a host to have everyone come to a party where it is almost 90 degrees inside. To top it off there was about 3 other parties & only ONE party host (employee) to help with all 4 parties. My party started at 4 I had guest who had arrived already & we're all waiting around for the kids game cards. We did not receive our game cards till about 420 bc the party host was super busy helping the other parties, getting anything took forever. Our party ran out of water & I asked for the water jug to be refilled & it took about 20 minutes to have refilled. I felt bad for the party host he was doing the best that he could, super unprofessional on management to not have more staff help with all of the parties they had booked. The employee that was explaining the laser tag rules was super RUDE, he asked do we have any birthdays today my 7 year old raised her hand & said me & the employee rudely goes we know it's your birthday. HOW RUDE! Why even ask that then. I was told this by multiple guests. The restroom disgusting! No soap just hand sanitizer. The laser tag room was even hotter. All of my guest came out dripping sweat that most of them didn't want to do the next round bc of how hot & uncomfortable everyone was. Super disappointing and embarrassing. The whole point of me booking a party was so that my guest would be inside and not hot during this summer heat wave. WOULD NEVER BOOK A PARTY OR COME HERE AGAIN.
