Best???? I rarely write reviews, but I believe it is important to put this out there so Nobody goes through this again. Let me start by saying The Wild Hare Salon rents to unethical hairstylists. I have scheduled two appointments with Chuck Landers, both of which sent me to the wrong place. I walked in and they said, "I'm sorry we can't help you." Wow. I've been given the runaround till my head is spinning driving to the wrong places with no haircut to show for it. Chuck Landers' information is incorrect on the website 4792 Redbank is not the proper address. The address I was sent to today is not the proper address on Loveland Madeira Road. Owner called me "I have no control over the stylists who rent." Yes, she does actually. Her job is to VET the stylists they rent to. The salon is in a dank looking dead strip mall. Chuck said he would be there. I watched him walk out, get in his cute Mercedes and drive away leaving me sitting there utterly befuddled. THE most disgusting customer service. Save your $$$ and go to a quality salon. You get what you pay for. Truly ridiculous customer service. It's time to go to the pasture, Chuck. You are wreaking havoc. read more

I know most women are super picky about their hair. I wouldn't consider myself in this group. It's just hair, right? It will grow, no matter how bad it looks! And until it does...there are hats and headbands! In my search to find the "perfect" stylist, I decided to try out Chuck Landers. The business is right down the street from me, and I can easily walk there in less than 5 minutes! I love frequenting places that are close! Chuck seems to run the entire place himself- no secretary or other stylists that I could tell. Sometimes, I like to change my hair, but am not really sure how. With my previous stylist, I could just sit down and tell her what I was thinking about, and she would tell me if it would look good or bad, and if my suggestion was off, she would offer a new one. I really appreciate people like that, and Chuck certainly fit the bill. Although I thought my last hair cut was decent, I felt there was no creativity involved. Chuck has plenty of creative energy! Another thing I liked about Chuck; he knew his other clients well, and was easy to talk to! Let's face it, when you have a stylist that just cuts your hair and doesn't talk, its just weird. I found out all about his children, his band, and his motorcycle accident. I also found out he finished stylist school in '79, so he's had plenty of experience, but seems to keep up on current trends as well. Another cool thing, free bang trims, walk-ins welcome. This is of course, for established clients, but how neat! He also reminded me that I could get a "blow out" before a night out on the town. I might take him up on it- when do you ever get your hair done like that except for way back when for prom? Good to know before getting there though- he only accepts cash and checks. It's a good thing I lived close enough to run back and grab my checkbook. I really liked the proximity, my color and cut, and the conversation. I think I may have found my new stylist! read more

After spending a lot of time reviewing great hairstylists in Cincinnati, I chose Chuck Landers due to the rave reviews. I went to Chuck to correct a brassy yellow hair color and the worst haircut that I ever received from a well known salon in Cincinnati that shall remain nameless. Chuck saved the day to say the least! My blonde color is amazing and he clearly knows how to cut hair. I love what he did to my hair and thoroughly enjoyed talking with him throughout the process. I have long, fairly thick, and very curly hair and trusted no one with it. After reading all of Chuck's reviews I gave him a shot, and I was not disappointed! He is the first person that I trust 100% - he knows exactly what I want even when I have no clue (when you have hair like mine, all you know is what you DON'T want, i.e. frizz, awkward layers, too short). He made me feel completely comfortable, gave me awesome advice without pushing any products on me, and taught me how to make the most of what God gave me. I went to Chuck and told him how I hated choppy hair and I wanted to keep my hair's length. He completely CHOPPED it off in the front and ruined my hair to the point where I cannot wear it down. It is a completely different length all around. This is by far the worst hair cut I have ever received. I am never picky about hair cuts until now. I had to sign up for yelp because of how horrible this cut is. Avoid at all costs. Worst decision going here. read more

I am the type of person that gets a haircut once a year and likes it long and low maintenance. I just moved to the area and decided that it was time for my hair, and saw that Chuck was highly reviewed for this area. I really didn't want to pay full price for a haircut but figured it was worth a try. Chuck exceeded my expectations in every way. He is magic with hair and really includes you in the process. I told him to do what was needed to bring my hair back to life and he gave me the best haircut of my life. I was so happy with it even 3 weeks later I couldn't stop thinking about how great of a job he did. 3 months later it grew out and I decided that I didn't want to pay that much for a haircut so soon after that and that maybe someone else would do a similar job. That was such a mistake! I wish I went to Chuck! They did an okay job, but nothing like the love I felt for my hair after my experience with him. I can't wait until my hair grows out long enough that I feel comfortable shortening the length again so I can get it re-cut by Chuck. He is a true professional and I'll never go anywhere else again, and he deserves every dollar that you spend on your hair! read more

I can't say enough good things about Chuck Landers as the best stylist I've ever been to. I was loyal to another stylist for over 15 years but when I started to wear my hair curly it just never looked the way I wanted it to and it wasn't easy to style. On a whim I made an appointment with Chuck and he will now be my stylist for the next 15 years! Although I feel guilty breaking this other relationship, I'd be crazy not to let Chuck be the only one to ever cut my curly hair. After my first cut with Chuck, people started commenting on how good my hair looked and that seldom had happened before. I knew he was the stylist for me when my teenage daughter said how good my hair looked and she said mom whoever cuts your hair now, keep going back. As a bonus, he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. I was a little intimidated to try a new place, but Chuck made me feel so comfortable and really made me feel good about myself. He showed me curly hair tips that my other stylist wouldn't have known. He showed me how to make the most of my hair and how to make it easy to work with. On top of that, I would have been willing to pay a lot more to get such a great cut, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was actually paying less with him for a much better cut. If you have curly hair, Chuck Landers should be your go to guy. I'm confident that regardless of your hair type or style, Chuck will do an amazing job. Try him one time like I did and I guarantee he will be your new stylist as well! I love my hair and I love that I took a chance on a new salon. I will never go anywhere else! read more
