Drove up in a weekend grabbed something to eat while waiting to head to Hobbs grove. Small hole in the wall but lots of tourist from all over the place. Food was delicious the customer service was great.

Best chili-dogs in our local area, we always call in, they are courteous, friendly & professional. We never order anything else other than the dogs & fries.

    Happy Summer from Chuck Wagon!

Wow, I have never reviewed Chuck Wagon?! Maybe since I've been going there since 198.......... Delicious chili dogs and fries , all these years the recipe has not changed and it's delicious every time! Walk up order and pick up window only, classic :) They are closed Wednesday & Sunday. My dad likes the Burrito Deluxe which is their famous chili, cheese and onions and lettuce over a small deep fried burrito . Ben loves the chili burger without cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eat at home, on their picnic table if available or take to Pine Flat or nearby park....do not eat in your car! Too juicy, too delicious, sit down and savor it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hey Chuck Wagon get longer hot dog buns! They used to be longer and the hot dog didn't stick out on both ends of the bun. Make brewed iced tea instead of instant. That instant tea sucks! The food is still good but don't cut corners to save a dollar. People come back to Chuck Wagon because of consistency of the food. Try to keep it like it was 50 years ago. Note: photo is not from Chuck Wagon it is just an example photo.

Chuck Wagon is a classic staple in the Central Valley. I hadn't been in over 10 years, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. Ordering is done at the window, and there was less seating than I remember, but the service was quick. The chili brought back so many memories and was definitely worth the visit. We tried a little bit of everything--burgers, chili dogs, chili fries, and more. My only complaint was that the burger had too much mustard; even with the chili, the mustard overpowered the flavor. Overall, it was a nostalgic and satisfying experience!

I have to say that the food is good and I drive from Fresno just for the chilli. And now my kids do too. I buy the chilli and do Fritos boats with it

Chili Cheese fries (no onions) are my favorite! Fries hot out of the bag are a family tradition on the ride home.

Located in a scenic agricultural area on the outskirts of Sanger, the restaurant is housed in an impressive original old school house. Check out the original plans of the school site and buildings posted in the interior hallway. The high ceilings and open layout make for a great atmosphere, though be warned: the noise level is quite high, as there isn't much to absorb it. Our server, Jacob, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and we especially appreciated that he included the prices of the daily specials upfront. Here's what we had for dinner: * Crab Fritters: Spectacular. The sweet red pepper sauce and the generous crab portions were beautifully presented. * Mixed Greens: A lesson in simplicity done right. It was perfectly dressed and easily shared between two. * Mahi Mahi: A standout special with a perfect sear and a moist center. * The Steak: Ordered medium and delivered as such, though it was a bit tough and felt "buried" under the heap of potatoes, onion rings, and asparagus. * Bari Lemon Olive Oil Cake: Do not let the name intimidate you! It was the star of the show. Moist, perfectly paired with fig ice cream, and large enough to share. The kitchen was unfortunately very slow. A large party of 20 on the patio seemed to back things up, leading to long gaps between our courses (though dessert arrived quickly). At nearly $200 for two, the pacing and the tough steak brought the experience down slightly, but the stellar service and elite appetizers/desserts still earn this a solid 4 stars.

We made a reservation, which is nice because they print your name on the menu! And then we promptly forgot to actually take the menus with us. :( This is a prix fixe menu where you have a choice for each of the courses (think DineLA style), and the menu apparently changes all the time, according to the whims of the chef (which is the most fun). We also shared a wine pairing and the sommelier was fantastic in telling us about each of the wines. Wonderful experience. Our server, Trevor, was great! We loved the pecan pie cheesecake (my partner says it's the perfect thickness - as in, it's not very thick at all, and manageable after a large meal. I also really liked the sesame crusted tuna, and the wagyu beef was amazing. My partner got a casarecce for one of the courses and she loved that. The flavors in that are super intense and really delicious. We were seated in the garden patio, and there seemed to have been an engagement party that evening, but you couldn't hear anything from the garden patio - it was very peaceful and chill. Looking forward to visiting again when we are in town! For $78 for a prix fixe menu ($62 for wine pairing), compared to LA prices, we are down!

The bartender was very apologetic throughout but instead of saying sorry everytime she saw us help us out. My husband ordered the tritip sandwich with chili.
