The food here is amazing! Ive lived here for 2 years and never ate here before and today decided to give it a try. Ordered the BBQ boneless wings with fries and my boyfriend got the single patty cheeseburger with tater tots. Food was a 10/10 and came out super fast and fresh! These wings were some of the best wings I've ever had!! My boyfriend absolutely loved his food too, and couldn't stop talking about their tater tots! Their service was amazing too and the staff were so friendly, and the restaurant is so nicely decorated and clean. I will recommend this place to anyone who's in town looking for a place to eat!

Going to see family this weekend and stumbled on this gem in Caruthers, CA. This little shack is one of the cutest little family owned and operated burger barns I've ever seen. You can order in the front building and sit their to wait for your order, or you have the option to go to another little dining room in a separate building behind the first. Not to mention the FOOD. First thing that caught my eye was the Churro Shake... ughhhh I'm drooling just thinking about it. So good. I had their tri tip sandwich and WOW. I'm surprised I ate the whole thing but it was too good to stop eating. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in central California. I heartbroken I lost the pictures of the food and the shake, but hopefully these pictures help you find it so you can take (and taste!) your own. :)

The name of this place perfectly reflects the town of Caruthers. Cause if you live here, you're either an old country boy, or Hispanic. The food is a welcome relief from all the Mexican restaurants that line the main street. I was pretty open minded about where I would eat today, but a buddy suggested "that burger place." This prompted a number of questions in my mind, because most people in Fresno have never heard of Caruthers, let alone been there. But evidently, Dos Okies has made a name for itself, all the way to Riverdale. Sounds promising. The place itself is tiny, and the AC, if they have one, isn't up to the challenge. They have seating out back too, but sadly, no restroom, so plan accordingly. The menu is mainly burgers and dogs, but the side options are vast. As are the ice cream options. Side note, they serve breakfast on Saturdays only, if you're interested. I got the Avocado Burger, which was a good choice. I couldn't help but wonder what the women across from me got from the way they raved about it. From the looks of it, Dos Okies will be a town staple for many years to come Imabigdeal@yelp.com

    Churro Milkshake. Yum!!

This place is great! Food was served fresh and hot! Tried the chicken strips & fries and a single burger with some tots! Tater tots were awesome, burger was juicy and had a lot of flavor! The chicken strips & fries were crispy and tasty! No complaints whatsoever! Stars of the show were our milkshakes! We got a churro shake & an Oreo! Delicious!! Our new spot, we will definitely be back!!

I was seated in the bar area (no choice offered), which was odd as this was mid-week and the place was far from crowded. I was attended quickly and placed an order for a Tanqueray martini. It arrived well mixed. I decided on a porterhouse after confirming with my waiter that the filet would not resemble a t-bone, but be a full filet as a porterhouse should. The steak was cooked properly, salad and sides fresh and delicious. I took off a star because my waiter gave up on me. He had checked in several times (I eat really slow these days and it was a lot of food) and the last time offered to bring me a box. I was ready to order dessert, but after a full ten minutes of an invisible waiter, I went to the hostess and offered to pay. She said she would send my waiter to my table. So, back to my table I went and waited some more. By the time he arrived, I was very unhappy. I had planned on coffee and dessert. But ended up going to the gas station next door and picking up some canned espresso and cream. Walking to my car, was an olfactory assault. If you've ever driven past Harris Ranch and the miles of cows standing under the shade structures in their own feces, you have a mild sense of what I experienced. But this was so much worse. My eyes began to water as I imagined I was walking through the feed lots. The stench of urine and cow crap was obnoxious. Some way to end an otherwise good meal. Between the service and the outdoor aroma, I doubt I'll return.

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

I went with the Juju Bleu, Calamity Jane, and Betsy Ross. I'll admit, I'm usually not a fan of bleu cheese, so I'm not sure why I picked the Juju Bleu--but I'm glad I did. It was surprisingly delicious. The Betsy Ross was solid and classic, with Thousand Island sauce--tasty, though nothing particularly standout. The Calamity Jane was the clear winner for me; the combination of sautéed onions, barbecue sauce, and mushrooms was absolutely spot-on. We also upgraded our side to clam chowder. It had great flavor, though it was a bit thicker than I prefer--not a dealbreaker by any means. Service really made the experience shine. Paula was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and quick to check in on us and keep everything running smoothly. Overall, this is a great spot for lunch with friends or coworkers. Since it's right on Main Street, parking can be a bit tricky, so I'd recommend using a nearby public lot and taking a short walk over.
