On Civic Holiday, before heading home, I had lunch at Chuck's Roadhouse. I had passed by this restaurant a few times and I wanted to check it out. So, after checking out from my hotel, I headed here. I parked right outside the main doors. The restaurant is located in a plaza. There is plenty of parking. It took a minute to have someone come over. I managed to take a photo of the signature Harley. I got seated at the bar. It was just past noon. My usual go-to meal is the top sirloin and lobster. I love sirloin. I love lobster. It's roughly $20. It's a good deal, and comes with corn and a starch. I went with mashed potatoes. My wait wasn't long to get my meal. The bartender had forgotten to give me a steak knife. I asked for one and she was extremely apologetic. I loved my meal. I got my sirloin medium-well and it was done to my liking. The lobster was succulent. I loved dipping each morsel in the clarified butter. The corn cob was yummy. It eventually got dunked into the clarified butter, too. If the food is dunkable, chances are that it went into the clarified butter. The mashed potatoes were delicious and comforting. I got lots of gravy, which I appreciated. I had room for dessert. I went with the carrot cake with cream cheese. When it came to me, I thought that I had some sort of weird version tiramisu. The cream cheese was generous. There was way too much caramel sauce, though. The carrot cake was so yummy. The cake was moist and flavourful. The cream cheese icing sealed the deal. The caramel on top worked and wasn't as obnoxious as it looked. I'd order it again. I got a Diet Coke with a lime to wash it down. I got a refill during my stay. The TVs are crispy and clear. I managed to watch a CFL game as I dined. This restaurant has been here since 2015. I am fairly new to Chuck's Roadhouse and didn't realize that it has been around for that long. I like this one. Here on business and the hotel manager recommended eating here - and it is within waling distance of the hotel. I was almost discouraged from taking her advice based on some of the other reviews that I read. With that said, my co-workers and I decided to take our chances and give it a try. When we walked in, the placed was packed and we actually had to wait a few minutes to get seated. Our waitress came around right away and took our drink orders and returned promptly with them. Between the three of us, two of us ordered steaks and one ordered a club sandwich. The steaks were cooked to perfection and everything was delicious. And as another reviewer stated, the prices were excellent. I will definitely return on my next trip to Belleville.

Good value for what you get. We like that they offer 1/2 price appetizers after 9 pm.

No vegetables...extra b.s. tax that no one could explain...poor service...bland food. Other than that what an experience.

Rude staff and servers. The manger was also very short and rude. Everyone here hates their job. Food was dry and over cooked.

Good food for a reasonable price. This isn't The Keg but it isn't priced that way either. Have been multiple times and I will go again.

When my wife and I were going to be making a random stop in Belleville for a couple nights, I did…read moremy thing and looked up what to do and eat while in town. I'm from an even smaller town, so I'm used to short lists for those things, but I was glad when I randomly came across The Lark. It wasn't on one of the review sites or a travel blog, but just simply perusing the downtown landscape on Google Maps. Their space on Bridge Street is airy and spacious, but the small footprint keeps things intimate, with a stunning bar that beckons to slake your thirst. Although the restaurant's name isn't on-the-nose Italian, the menu is very much so. With a handful each of primi, secondi and dolci, chances are that you won't suffer from choice paralysis while ordering, but what they have is nonetheless quite enticing. Burrata is always an easy choice, especially at a restaurant like The Lark where you know you're going to get good quality cheese and accoutrements. They didn't disappoint! The milky, semi-solid cheese paired well with tender hunks of sweet butternut squash and the crisp savouriness of fried sage. Pomegranate seeds and hazelnuts brought some sweetness and crunch, while house-made sourdough was good enough to be eaten on its own. For my main, I went with the beef cheek pappardelle. The succulent shreds of cheek took the place of ground beef in the rich Bolognese, and my taste buds were all the better for it. The fresh pappardelle was luxuriously tender, with its delicate folds sopping up all that delicious sauce. Rounded out with parm and basil, it shows that you don't have to recreate the wheel to make an excellent dish. My wife's brown butter gnocchi was no slouch either, with a decadent cream sauce, and nice hint of char to the lovely and light pasta pillows. Not to be beaten, the apple cobbler was absolutely amazing. Definitely sized for two, but no judgment if you solo it, every part was fall dessert perfection. Service was wonderfully knowledgeable on the food and drink side, as well as friendly and easygoing. I was getting strong owner-vibes, but I'm too lazy to do the amount of Googling required for a confirm. The Lark is getting done dirty by the algorithm on the major review sites and if they won't loudly announce their possession of the title as "best restaurant in Belleville", I sure will.

I've gone back again since my first time visiting to try a few more things. The Beef Cheek Pappardelle was my overall favourite, but the Beef short rib was a close second. It's a cute little spot in downtown Belleville with a nice ambience. There's lots of street parking available nearby or there's a big lot that's very walkable. Service was great, we even got the bartenders choice for the drinks and it was really well done. If you're ever in the Belleville area and are looking for a spot to have dinner, this is definitely the place.

Instead of lobster, the dish was made with imitation crab. The waitress denied it. As an avid lobster enjoyer, this was straight up imitation crab. I am not sure why they are trying to cover it up by denying the use to paying customers. If it says lobster and is an $11 soup, I expect chunks of real lobster. The soup contained stringy unchewable pieces of stewed imitation crab. Would not recommend this place, untruthful about their ingredients.

Wow! Amazing service, amazing food amazing value…read more My son and I thought it would be a good idea to try the all you can eat boneless chicken wings, since we really enjoyed the all you can eat ribs this past fall. So we went together last Friday. What a pleasant surprise! The wings were fantastic. Keep in mind that these are boneless wings, so all meat! And they're the "good kind" of boneless chicken that's real meat rather than the reconstituted "nuggets" that many places serve. Cooked perfectly and the breading on them was enough to be tasty and to hold the sauce but not so much that you cant find the meat. What else was notable about the food experience? The fries!! They were notably superior. Lots of fries on the order, a good size, and not over-cooked. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap and the pint I ordered was only $7.49, which is pretty good for the area. The service was also top-notch. We were seated right away our server Todd was at the table within the first minute. He was pleasant and sociable and it was very obvious that he wanted our experience to be a good one. He took our orders, answered our dumb questions with a smile, and was quick with service. All throughout the meal he kept checking on us and was quick with the "next beer" and in keeping the table cleared. What a great difference to feel like you're truly welcome and your experience matters, unlike other places where I often feel like I'm more like an inconvenience to waiting staff. Thanks so much Todd, you did great!
