I've used Chuck's Tire Center twice in the past few years (recommended to me by a mechanic) and they are always very nice and their prices are competitive. I also like that their center is in a quiet area of Carlsbad--so many tire places seem to be on the corner of an insanely busy intersection, so I appreciate how easy it is to pull into the lot at Chuck's. My most recent visit was for a tire that was losing air. Darryle and Omar are good guys, they installed my BC Racing coilovers, and kept good communication during the process. Looks great, happy with the results. One side was settling uneven and they invited me to come back and take a look and make adjustments. Turns out it's part of the process, just takes time to settle and is perfect now. Was shopping around to have my tires checked, thinking I would need to replace one or more, when I was told that it would only be so much to repair a tire, by Darryle. (Other places were saying $400 without even seeing my car!) When I went in the following day, turned out I only needed to have the tires filled with air to get them to the right pressure at no charge. I called to get pricing and it seemed reasonable, so we took our car over and our brakes were done by 1:30pm. The cost was exactly what they said it would be. They also picked up my husband when the car was done to come get it. That was a nice service to offer. We got our two rear brake pads and rotors changed. LOVE these guys! I have been going to Chuck's Tires since 2010 when they were off of Avenida Encinas! Amazing front desk service, Melissa, friendly service and always a smile! The Mechanics were great! They did all my tires on two of my cars as well as oil change! Sometimes I'll wait for it but usually I'll leave it. If I need anything else done with my cars they can get mostly get it done in a day. Now that my sons are driving they can take care of their cars as well. I highly recommend Chuck's Tires. These guys tried to rip me off. I Replaced two tires at chucks. They failed to replace the tpms at the time they replaced the tires. When I called to tell them the tpms was not working they said it would reset itself after 15 minutes which is bullshit. I brought the car back to them to have the tpms reset and they wanted to charge me $80 per tire to do what they should have done when I had the tires replaced two days earlier. Do yourself a favor and buy your tires where they know how to properly replace a tire. Replacing the tpms is standard anywhere but at chucks. read more

I have a 2024 BMW330i that had a slow leak in one of the tires. I heard that the dealership might recommend replacement instead of trying to plug the leak since it is a run-flat so I took it to Chuck's to have it checked out. They identified the small leak and repaired it for a small fee. Short wait and I was on my way. Great service! They even topped off the tire pressure in all of tires without me asking. read more

Pulled in at 9am with a flat tire, waited 2 hours to be told it couldn't be repaired (it was a nail in the main tread, not even the sidewall) and was charged $40 to put my spare on. The invoice stated 'Tire Repair and Rebalance'! I drove to Discount Tires, where the guys not only repaired the tire but did it for free. I was immediately impressed with this business because they responded on Yelp last night around 9:30pm in the midst of my car related panicking. I didn't expect anyone to get back to me so quickly, but they were fantastic and eased my mind. I brought my car in this morning and despite there being multiple cars ahead of me, I heard back in an hour and a half with a full update and quote for the services needed. I've been comparing prices and these folks are well within the budget I was hoping for. I was actually surprised at the cost including labor and parts. Both Melissa and Jeff have been friendly, responsive, and thorough in conveying my cars needs, particularly my brakes. Not once did I feel pressured or that they were trying to upsell me in any way - which in my experience is common with other mechanics. It's also a huge plus that they offer a shuttle service to get customers back home after dropping off a car. The front office is clean, well-staffed, and welcoming. I had all four of my tires replaced. From start to finish I had excellent service. The shop is easy to find with signage on street corners and when you walk in to the CLEAN office, you're greeted with a friendly staff and if you're lucky, fresh popcorn! Although I came at a busy time, I was in and out at a decent amount of time. They provide free wifi so I was able to get work done while I waited in their lobby. There was a nice sized TV and coffee available for customers as well. I compared prices when I was initially given a quote for for my tires and you can't beat their prices when you add in their unparalleled service and attention to detail when it comes to dealing with their customers. Even their bathrooms are super clean! I have yet to find a car repair type place with a clean bathroom but this place is different. You can tell the owner really cares and it shows. They clearly take pride in their business and the people who walk in. I appreciate that. They made a life long customer. 10/10. Highly recommend! read more

Went to dealer for scheduled service and was told car was in dire need of new brake pads. Dealer quoted what I considered an outrageous price. And since I had the brakes replaced on another car at Chuck's and was extremely happy with both the service and price. I choose to take this car to Chuck's and even mentioned to them what the dealer said about needing new brake pads. Low and behold, after checking the brakes, Chuck's concluded that the brakes were fine with 50% of the pads remaining. Obviously, I won't be returning to the dealer, and when the time comes for new brake pads, I'll be heading straight for Chuck's.
