Always happy to take the coupons and look for other ways to save me money for extra services. Can find cheaper but they service the best. Short story is that I trust these guys and their manager. Had good service until most recent visit. Told them please just oil change and ended up taking out my air filter and not being able to get it back in, broke the clips, and ask them to please drain from drain plug but they stick sucked the oil out with Evac. Argued with me and refused to treat me properly. I usually do oil change myself but saw a coupon and was same deal as buying the oil and filter myself. Told them not to inflate my tires and they did then left the cap off. I swear they are high. Didn't take off skid plate to drain oil or remove filter and got oil everywhere, then proceeded to wash it with a hose. Never letting them touch my truck again read more

Super easy oil change here. I had only been to their other location a few blocks south on El Camino before. I drove right up and there was no wait. They have a 20% off your whole purchase here with yelp coupon. I just had to remind them to apply it to the air filter I decided to replace in addition to the oil change. Together, they were just under $100. One thing that was super convenient is that I did not even have to get out of the car. I drove right up, they had me test my lights, did the oil change, showed me the filter, and I paid and was out of there within 15 minutes. Great to know about this location of Valvoline. Amazing experience! Came in for an oil change and had the pleasure of working with Earl, the manager. Earl was honest that we had at last another 1k miles left till our next oil change. He offered to top off our oil and check our other fluid levels. He even gave us a discount on the oil! Don't trust them with your car, especially if you have a Volvo. Had one of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had at a business here. I was a first time customer who came in for an oil change instead of taking it to my regular mechanic because I was hoping it would be convenient and take something off my to do list during my lunch break. Instead, the team here didn't know how to read the electronic oil level sensor on my car and made my check engine light come on. They couldn't fix the check engine light, despite their attempts to and I was told I could take it to my mechanic and if they were found to be at fault I would be reimbursed. I ended up having to take it to my mechanic who fixed it and documented their error. Now they are refusing to reimburse my mechanic's fee because they state they reviewed the cameras of their service and don't think they were in error. Forget the fact that they had me take my car out of the bay for them to look at it for a period of time. Don't let the 20 percent off coupon and groomed reviews on yelp inspire you to bring your car here, you may end up spending twice the amount and suffer the inconvenience of having to take it somewhere else for service. If you do bring your car here and they make a mistake, don't let them take the car out of the bay to address it. read more

We came here for an oil change since we had a coupon. They were courteous, and fast (which I appreciated.) I recommend them

They get 2 stars instead of 1 since they've done half decent work in the 20 or so times I've been to Valvoline in the past. First, they lost 1 of 4 skid plate bolts (no surprise) and blew the threads out so bad on another that I'm surprised it didn't fall out. This makes a half dozen or so times that they have lost or stripped a skid plate bolt. I always keep some on hand at home since this is a reoccurring issue. Second, the kid that was using the evac machine left a ton of scratches from sliding the pump handle against the side of my hood. He also way overfilled my oil and I had to sit there while he repeatedly pumped out a little at a time till it was within spec. To top it off, he proceeded to get my grille, hood, and fenders covered in oil which he used an equally oily rag to wipe off at the end. I also had to remind them that I hadn't paid yet when they tried to send me on my way as half of the staff was gossiping with their buddies instead of paying attention. The cherry on top, I asked for a mileage sticker and when I stuck out my hand to grab it, he slapped the sticker on the inside of my windshield with an oil soaked glove. On a good note, at least they didn't leave a surprise puddle of oil on top of my skid plate this time to pour on my face the next time I change my differential oil. Looks like I'll go back to changing my oil since the only way it'll get done right is if I do it myself. read more
