This is a family owned business with state of the art service with old fashioned values. Every time I come in, I get a genuine smile, friendly service, and the inside scoop on my car. These guys are honest and generous. I have been coming for over a year now and even when I shop around, I can tell you that their estimates are the best. On top of that, they will give me a discount on their services which are top notch. I like that with every oil change, it is no extra charge to rotate my tires, I get a long checklist (just like the dealer) rating how everything is doing on my car and I get photos of things documenting any parts nearing replacement or overall functioning. The value that I get is unmatched here. I always wait for my car and they have ample space in their back waiting room to keep me comfortable while I wait. Just recently, I got my oil changed and new rear brakes all done in just a couple of hours. I do advise coming in early if you want expediency but these guys will take good care of you and give you the best price for quality service. 10/10 service! I brought my car in because of a squeaking noise, and the staff were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. From the moment I dropped off my car, I received updates throughout the entire process, including a detailed inspection report with photos and a clear diagnosis (my brakes needed lubrication). They took the time to explain the issue over the phone, and provided a quote without recommending costly or unnecessary repairs. The previous shop I took my car to for the same issue not only misdiagnosed the problem, but also failed to fix what I brought it in for. After picking up my car here, the squeaking noise is finally gone and I couldn't be happier with the experience, will definitely be bringing my car back here in the future! It's hard finding a repair shop that doesn't take advantage of the fact that I'm a woman with limited automotive knowledge. Took my car here late on a Friday evening, before a long weekend, an hour & a half before closing bc I got out of work late and they still assisted me with my check engine light. They replaced my gas cap and refilled my coolant. The gas cap was only $24 when I've been quoted well over $75 for the same thing other places. I can't say enough good things about these guys. First of all, when you call them there's a 90% chance that Drew will actually answer the phone. How many mechanics do you call and the actual owner answers the phone? What that does is it creates consistency with conversations as he is very aware of every vehicle that goes through his shop. Right from the very first conversation I had with him, it was very low pressure. I told him what I was looking for and he asked for my information and sent me a quote. It was so sophisticated and professional that it was very easy to come back to him. What was quoted was exactly what I paid. I didn't have to worry about surprise fees that other mechanics tend to sneak on invoices. I think at the end of the day, it's hard to find a mechanic that you can trust and feel comfortable with. But with Drew taking me to the back, introducing me to his crew, and giving me a very thorough breakdown of what was going on with my car, it definitely made me feel at ease about everything that was taking place. A lot of times with mechanics you just have to take their word for what's going on, but when you get the invoice, you may feel a little mistrust with the final diagnostics. Because Drew was super transparent about everything, not only did I feel comfortable with the whole interaction, but I will be sure to recommend Cal West Auto to all my friends and family. I had a truck that I loved, once. A black, 2003 Toyota Tacoma. She served me well these last 21 years, ever since I bought it with 7 miles on the odometer. Great gas milage, very little maintenance, it cost me very little over the decades as I drove it almost 250,000 miles since I drove it off the lot. It had its issues. Not crippling ones, but very manageable; like a hole at the top of the radiator that only needed a water refill once a year to keep under control. But, when that radiator suddenly started to drain in just a few weeks, stalling the engine and preventing it from starting, I brought it here to Cal West for a replacement. It cost about half of what I was expecting and was back in my driving hands the next day (could have grabbed it the day of if I hadn't been so lazy). So, when the sad day came when the head gasket blew, leaking anti-freeze into the engine, I brought it back here to confirm the bad news. The crew at Cal West were thorough, informative, and happy to wait as I went over the pros and cons of going through with the repair. In the end, I was offered an exceedingly fair price by one of their associates to take it off my hands. It wasn't fun, but looking back, I honestly couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. And these guys were the ones to help deliver it. Seriously, low pricing, short wait times, and overall great quality work. I'll be bringing any other future cars I have back when needed. read more

Called Kal West at about 4:45 pm on a Tuesday evening. Drew answered the phone and I explained to him my truck had been overheating. Without hesitation he told me to bring it in and he'll look at it. When I got there, he put some coolant into the vehicle and gave it the once over. Right away, he could tell that my radiator was broken and need to be replaced. He gave me two costs one that included hoses and belts, but told me because it only had 63,000 miles on it that it really didn't need the hoses and belts. Set me up for service the next day and completed the work as promised at a very decent price. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Very friendly, personable and most important honest. I got a transmission flush service done on my 2011 Toyota 4Runner. I researched seven locations including the Toyota dealership and this was the best price around. I found Cal West Auto Center on yelp and looked at all the reviews before I called for a quote. Not only did they do the service in a timely manner, but they also have very extensive full vehicle checks to make sure everything is up to par on your vehicle. They give you a digital progress report on your vehicle and as they do the work and do all the service checks, they take pictures and digitally send that to your email or text. I think I had 16 pictures of my vehicle while they were checking. When they were done, I went to pick up my vehicle and pay for the service and they asked me if I've ever seen the back of their shop. It was my first time there so they took me on a full tour and it seemed like they had so much pride in their business and pride in the work they do for their customers. I just found a new service place for my whole family. I'm also going to recommend this place to my fellow firefighter coworkers. read more
