My employer does a quarterly food truck rodeo and on 04/16/2026, ChuckTown Mobile Seafood was one of the vendors for the day. My first order was for a pork chop but they were out. I ordered the shrimp basket. I ordered my food at 12:30 and my ticket number was 147 (last four of ticket). It was almost an hour later and I still hadn't received my order. I wasn't the only person but there were people who ordered after I did and their numbers were called. It shouldn't take this long for shrimp and fries. Today "ChuckTown Mobile Seafood".... came to our school. The prices were GREAT and the food was amazing!!!

Five stars, all day, every day. Everything they have is delicious. They currently do not have a brick-and-mortar location but they are still around. Primarily, they do catering and festivals. The best way to keep up with them is to follow them on their Facebook page. Around the holidays, they have bulk sides for sale at very reasonable prices. You just call and place the order and pick it up in time for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Their FB page says they plan to open a new location at the Charleston International Airport. read more

The food was great, however we ordered 2 sandwiches told they only had one left waited A long time for it then someone who ordered after us, ordered 3 of the same sandwich got his before us and we said something about not getting out food and they said oh it's coming right up as they are dropping it in. I stumbled upon this place during a Food Truck day in the horseshoe at MUSC. They were frying up the seafood and sides as quickly as possible to handle the line. The woman taking our orders and payment was very efficient and friendly, and they all looked like they got along really well and enjoyed what they were doing. It would have been easy for them to appear overwhelmed and rushed, but they managed the customers very well and got us our food in a hurry. I chose the fried shrimp and scallops with fried okra as my side. Two meats and side were $13. Seemed a little high for lunch, but it ended up being more than a lunch portion and was absolutely delicious. I will definitely keep an eye out for them around town! read more

Great seafood! Two of my coworkers and I had lunch here. Two of us had the fried shrimp and fries, and the other one had fried fish and fries. It was priced reasonably and served hot. We really liked it. "Fry Daddie" was on hand -- at the moment we were there, we were watching him frying up fresh shrimp that he coated in a light, peppery coating that made them come out light and crispy. My coworker really enjoyed his fish as well (looked like a cornmeal coating). A nice touch was providing cocktail and tartar sauce and ketchup for us to add as we chose. I called Frydaddie to cater an oyster roast for my 50th, and couldn't have been happier. Everything was perfect! The owner is professional but warm and friendly. He really made me feel like my event was important to him. And his staff were the same. I couldn't have had a better experience from start to finish. AND.....if you are down that way, stop in for some of the best fresh seafood around! Garlic poached crab and seafood rice are amazing. The fried seafood is fresh and crispy. Chuck Town Seafood Truck came to MUSC in West Ashley and for the very first time I was disappointed. I order fish and shrimp with out French fries, I ask them if they can put another piece of fish due to the fish that they give you is not a whole fish but a half of fish and the food was cold. I had them to cater my wedding reception for 150 people well i only had 65 guest that showed up . i was told the wedding party would have china to eat on and i also had paid for shrimp and grits , fresh fruits as my appitizers in which i didnt get china nor appitizers. my sister had to serve the wedding party something to drink with the cold food. their were a pan of red rice and 2 pans of mac and cheese that was told by owner that my cousin could bring in just for the wedding party. my my guest were supposed to have had garden salad yellow/ or brown rice inwhich they never got they all ate from my cousins red rice and mac and cheese. never had bargeque meatballs which was seen ib the kitchen along with my rice i paid for my guest to have .i had a special bottle expensive wine which i found hidden in the microwave by employee and several other things went on ,i saw a pan of uncooked mac n cheese that was called to my attention . i walked over and the owner asked me whats wrong i said ohh nothing im just walking around .im so hurt behind all my money and my table desserts was done and they looked so messy i was totally embarressed my reception was ruin , and to top it off i paid for 150 people and i had no food left to take home .i was warned about them but i was just trying to patraonize the small business thats all i have never been treated like this . i wish i had listen to the people who was trying to tell me not to but it was too late .this is a lesson learn . i dont know how can you live with your self knowing you did a paying customer this way. i have been crying behind this since that day. im trying to forget it. but everyday a guest is reminding me of something they experienced. and all i can do is feel embarrassed, shame, hurt. i found out the reason why they were also late at my 3pm event is because there were another event that was being taking care off at 11am in the downtown area at musc, and another event after mine so . this makes me wonder where is my FOOD, OR WHERE DID IT GO , read more
