My only complaint is that i ordered flounder from the menu and what they brought me was whiting, and it was very salty, so much so that I told the waiter that this was not flounder and about the taste, he apologized and said that he was going to ask the cooks about it, he came back shortly after that and told me that they only have flounder and that's what it was. We ordered from the fried section: shrimp, oysters, and catfish. Then also ordered the: onion rings, hush puppies, and cajun fries for the side. Oh, and let me not forget the oysters ... my uncle ordered those too. Every thing was hot, tasty, & delicious! I will be back to order from the broiled section but there's other combinations on the menu too ... I recommend this place to anyone who's feeling like they want to enjoy some seafood. My uncle paid the bill so I didn't see the receipt but he was satisfied with the price range based on quality. I found this place online and it was near the house so I stopped in. First problem, there was something in my drink, it was literally stuck to the ice, don't know what it was couldn't get it off, server seemed like it was normal which didn't sit well with me but my son really wanted to stay so I went on to order food. Husband and I were in the mood for seafood and this was one of the places open a little later. They had a daily special of a 1/2 lb shrimp and 1 lb of crab legs. You can think pick you seasonings, we went with "juicy" which was a combo of garlic butter and Cajun seasonings (prob similar to old bay) then you can pick the spiciness level so I went with mild and husband got medium. I have dined at the Happy Crab since it opened about 2 years ago. I even had my 66th birthday at the Happy Crab with all my family and friends there last November. The Happy Crab was a wonderful friendly place to eat, until about 4 months ago I wasn't so Happy at Happy Crab. The past 3 visits were the worst experience I have ever had. Who ever heard of a Seafood restaurant not having the proper utensils to eat crab legs with? They did provide me with a plastic fork, and that was completely useless trying to open crab claws with. The waitress never even told us before ordering that they did not have utensils to crack the crab legs/claws Open with. The waitress just took our orders and brought us our meal, then when we asked her where the crab leg utensils were she replied, "we don't have any". We did the best we could trying to open our crab legs but when it came to our claws there was no way we could get them open. I asked to speak to the manager and his reply was that when they open the restaurant two years ago they ordered 2000 crab crackers and they're all missing. He said that the customers after they get done eating steal their utensils. He was very arguemental about the whole situation in front of all the customers that were dining at the time. He did not seem to care about how we were going to eat our dinner properly after spending money for crab. Who does that? In my personal opinion I wouldn't bother dining at Happy Crab in Goose Creek unless you call and see if they have the proper utensils to eat with besides a plastic fork. read more
