Friday, lunchtime visit with friends. It wasn't crowded. We had great, timely service. Typical seafood boil restaurant menu, with good selection of specialty cocktails. They have a full bar. Ordered the buffalo wings appetizer and hushpuppies while waiting for our entire party to arrive and both were delicious. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and it came in a tulip wine glass with ice, which was not how the Cosmopolitan is usually served. It was different, but good,

We actually did not eat at the establishment so I cannot make any remarks on the inside of the restaurant. My fiancé picked this up and we ate at home. In hind site, that was a mistake. We got crab legs EVERYWHERE. I mean, that sh*t was on the walls, floors, couches... Lort. Word to the wise, just eat there. Lol. It did come. To us very hot and well packaged with a bag and instructions on how to reheat later. We got a another seafood boil feast! Lobster tails, crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, clams, potatoes, corn, hard boiled eggs, etc. There's so many options when creating your seafood boil! You can choose your seasonings, sauces, butter flavoring, and spiciness level. They also gave you the option to add more seafood of your choice in half pound increments. I'm very happy with this being the last seafood we ate in SC.

The service and the food were both great, our waiter checks in on us throughout our lunch, our drinks were really good as well. My only complaint is that i ordered flounder from the menu and what they brought me was whiting, and it was very salty, so much so that I told the waiter that this was not flounder and about the taste, he apologized and said that he was going to ask the cooks about it, he came back shortly after that and told me that they only have flounder and that's what it was. Now I'm Florida born and raised, been eating whiting a long time and I know the distinction between it and anything else, regardless, he took a little off our bill, I thanked him and we will definitely go back but just not order the flounder!

Day: Monday Weather: Sunny Time: Noonish Seating: Booth, inner wall & TVs available to watch. Not sure how long this happy crab place has been around but my uncle suggested that we go here for our birthday, that's both in February. Since we came around noon, we pretty much were able to sit where we wanted to. This location has a bar area too if you want to grab some drinks AND although I sat at a table booth I did order a beer while we waited. We ordered from the fried section: shrimp, oysters, and catfish. Then also ordered the: onion rings, hush puppies, and cajun fries for the side. Oh, and let me not forget the oysters ... my uncle ordered those too. Every thing was hot, tasty, & delicious! I will be back to order from the broiled section but there's other combinations on the menu too ... I recommend this place to anyone who's feeling like they want to enjoy some seafood. My uncle paid the bill so I didn't see the receipt but he was satisfied with the price range based on quality. I even got a cheesecake at the end of my meal with a candle because it was my birthday and the entire time the male server was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous!! Great service! Attaching pictures too! Happy crab did put a quality smile on our faces ... thank you ... until next time ... cheers

Great fresh seafood, the low country boil was a hit, and our server was a great young lady with a load of personality, miss jay you rocked and was as much a delight as the seafood

Happy crab in goose creek was very good & their lunch prices are worth every penny. We were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill! On top of that, the service was great and the area was very clean!

    the front of the restaurant

Didn't look big from the outside, but it's very spacious inside!! Looks like they even have live bands or some type of entertainment. Nice full bar! Parking outside was plentiful. I called in my order, be aware there is a $1 connivence fee to order online. Pick up time estimated was correct. Food was good. But not sure about the rice, tasted more like sticky rice than what I'm use to. Portion was perfect for two people. Asked for a side of melted butter, they were very accommodating. Over all they were very nice. Everything I needed was in the bag when I got home.

    Fried calamari

Christmas meal! Crab bags were good! Calamari and fried shrimp were good and seasoned! Good customer service. Clean establishment. No complaints

Make sure you check your receipt for an "AUTOMATIC TIP" Their menu says "An 18% service charge will be added to any party of 6 or more", but there were only 5 in our party and they automatically added $30.00 to the bill.

My family of 24 first stopped by the Ladson location, but they weren't able to accommodate a party our size for at least an hour. Shoutout to the hostess, Taylor, who went above and beyond by calling the Goose Creek location to see if they could seat us. That thoughtful gesture was definitely appreciated! So off we went in search of some fresh Lowcountry deliciousness! When we arrived at Goose Creek, we hit a small hiccup at the hostess stand. Apparently, there was already a party of 25 under our family's name with a 7 PM reservation. After a little confusion, Makayla pulled in manager Christina and kitchen manager Chris, and they worked quickly to get everything sorted out. Once that was cleared up, we were finally seated. From there, things flowed smoothly. Our server, Kylie, was awesome! Handling a group of now 20 (4 ordered their meals to go) is no small task, but she did it with ease. Drinks, appetizers, and entrées all came out in impressive time considering the size of our party. The wait was reasonable, and overall everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, but the stars of the table were: * Mussels * Shrimp tacos * Gator bites * Fried seafood platter Now for full transparency -- I did take off a star. One order of scallops had to be sent back because they smelled spoiled, a steak that was ordered well-done came out with some pink, and my Lowcountry stir fry came out lukewarm (although the flavor was very good). I already know once I heat up my leftovers, that stir fry is going to hit even harder! Even with those hiccups, the team handled everything professionally, and the overall experience was still very enjoyable. Managing a party of 20 is no small feat, and they truly worked together to make it happen. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Solid 4/5 stars for me -- and we will definitely be back!

Self serve on beverages, napkins, and utensils. Staff was nice. Food: this is mixed. I got the Baby Shark which is 6 fried shrimp and a piece of fried flounder, comes with 1 side and 3 hush puppies. The shrimp and flounder were nicely cooked without heavy breading. The hush puppies were weird. They were cooked but had almost a beer batter thick outside and the inside tasted almost like raw meal or flour. Tasted greasy but they were not visibly greasy. Since it's their namesake, one would think the hush puppies would be great. I couldn't eat them. The fries had batter on them. They were crispy. I prefer no batter on fries but for those who like that, you'd probably like them. Now the sauces: the tartar was too salty and was missing something that I couldn't figure out. The cocktail sauce was also too salty but did have a nice horseradish kick. There was something missing from it too that I couldn't put my finger on. Maybe it was just the salt overload messing it up. Overall the seafood itself was pretty good but the sides and sauces bring my review down.

First off, it's not busy so you can easily walk in without a reservation. Next is that you get to experience more of the fun items on the menu that you don't order when you go to a big dinner. And lastly, I can spend fifty bucks on an amazing meal instead of $300. I'm still going to plan fancy dinners there for wonderful steaks, sides, and wine, but this casual early dinner is an overlooked option. This time around we had the wedge salad which they split on to two plates for us making it easy to share. I loved the whole strip of crispy bacon on top too. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms and the steak nachos. The stuffed mushrooms were fine, but not a favorite item so I may not get them again. The star of the show were the nachos! They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients and had a big scoop of guac and sour cream on the plus there was probably a whole steak cut up and spread throughout. The nachos are a must have. The tartare was excellent! The oysters had a strange taste that I was not a fan of. However, I do want to mention my dirty martini was phenomenal!! For my entree, I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium-rare. As soon as the server put the plate in front of me, they whipped out a flashlight, shined it on my plate and asked me to cut into the middle of the steak to ensure it was cooked correctly. This bothered me for multiple reasons: 1.) for a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect the chef to know if my steak is cooked correctly and 2.) I like to cut into my steak at the end not the middle. It was cooked correctly but it was not as juicy/flavorful as I hoped it would be. The sides for our table were the most impressive part of my meal; perfect mashed potatoes and probably one of the best creamed spinaches I've ever had! Oddly enough, it was more crunchy than creamy but somehow it worked and tasted delicious. I've had both better and worse steakhouse experiences but at this price point, I expected just a tad bit better. I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself ;)
