Cant't forget the mango lemonade in the background

Please do your tummy a favor and STOP and order from this food truck when you see it on 6 Mile & Rifle Range! Ms. Jackie and Charles are so nice and their food BANGS! The fish and shrimp is fried perfectly and their seafood rice has all of the wonderful flavors but doesn't overpower the rice foundation. This place is a WINNER! Their fresh squeezed lemonades are on point. It may be a gift and a curse that I love around the corner

Our neighborhood food truck nights can be hit or miss, but Mazyck's Grille hit the ball out of the park! We had the fried fish with French fries ($12) and an order of seafood rice ($7). The fish was seasoned perfectly and not too salty or greasy. It was delicious on its own, without any tartar or cocktail sauce. The portions are quite large, and we got a nice dinner for under $20 pre-tip, which rarely happens these days. Plus, you can't beat supporting a local, Black-owned business. Service was excellent and fast, so give Mazyck's Grille a shot if they visit your neighborhood or at their usual spot in North Mount Pleasant.

The prices are also super reasonable, which makes it even better. I've tried the carnitas, shrimp, asada, and the queso. The shrimp taco is hands-down my favorite--so flavorful and perfectly cooked! From the moment we approached the truck, the smell was intoxicating--spices, smoky meats, and fresh ingredients. The menu had a fantastic variety of tacos, burritos, tortas, and quesadillas, and everything sounded mouthwatering. My husband decided to go with the carne asada burrito, and let me tell you, they didn't t disappoint him...He said that the asada was perfectly seasoned and the meat was tender and juicy. I ordered the veggie burrito with fries. Both were absolutely tasty, fresh and not greasy at all. We will definitely be back for more next time we stay in Mount Pleasant. If you're craving authentic Mexican street food, Cachita's Kitchen is an absolute must-try! Highly recommend! My only regret was not taking any pictures! They give you several protein options to top it with so you can customize your experience. We decided on the "Mac Daddy" size and topped it with fried chicken and bacon bits. This combo was so delicious. The bacon was crispy and added a wonderful texture and saltiness while the chicken was fried beautifully. Each bite was tender and juicy with creamy Mac n cheese and we loved every bite. The service was quick and friendly as well which helps in a crowded stadium with hungry fans. The ambiance was busy, fast-paced, and exciting and ended with an overall great experience that we can't wait to try again!

When I arrived they already had the social distancing protocol in place with a sanitizing station and everyone standing in an orderly line six feet apart. There was just one guy holding it down in the truck and did a pretty good job of keeping it moving. I do wish they had a contactless payment or order in advance like I've seen from some others, but everyone is trying to pull things together as best they can. Collectively, I'm sure I've had all the toppings by now but last night I had a new combination by combining buffalo chicken and jalapenos. I love how they finely chopped up the jalapenos so you could get some in every bite. It was cheesy, spicy, and oh so good I was scraping the bowl. The oversized with toppings was more than enough for dinner and I was stuffed by the end. It is a pricey bowl of mac but I know they're using a ton of cheese to make it so tasty. We placed our order around 6:50 PM. The man running the truck (the only one working) even commented about how slow business was. Despite that, by 7:40 we still hadn't gotten our food though several people who ordered after us had already been served. When my boyfriend checked, the guy said there was still "one person ahead of us" and that he'd bring the food over when ready. Around 8:00 PM over an hour later he finally came out with two sandwiches. But instead of what we ordered (one Classic and one Chicken Bacon Ranch), he handed us two Classics. When my boyfriend asked if one of them was ours, he said yes, but then immediately walked over and gave one of the sandwiches to another couple waiting. It seemed clear that he had completely forgotten about our order and just tried to hand us someone else's food. At that point, we were left with just one correct sandwich after waiting more than an hour. He told us he'd fix it quickly, and about five minutes later brought out the Chicken Bacon Ranch we had originally ordered. Earlier, he had offered us a refund because of the long wait, but when we asked about it after getting the corrected order, he became defensive and irate. He told us things like: "If you were in a restaurant you'd wait 30 minutes," (we had waited over an hour). and "Why would I refund you, you seem to be enjoying that sandwich just fine," (while we were sharing one sandwich because we were starving). He also tried to guilt us by explaining that he pays for everything himself and even asked for "compensation" despite the fact I had already tipped him 20% when we first ordered. Instead of apologizing, he raised his voice across the bar, made us feel like we were the problem, and then walked away mid-conversation. As someone who works in food and beverage, I know mistakes happen but the way you handle them is what defines good service. This was the exact opposite: poor organization, extremely long wait, wrong order, broken promises of a refund, and an worker who treated us rudely instead of professionally.

Frank and I are grateful to have had Chef Chris cater our wedding reception in September of 2018…read more Since we live in Virginia and were unable to fly down to Charleston for tastings, we reached out to Chef Chris based on his online reviews. Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! He is wonderful to work with and delivers amazing food and service. Good luck!
