I brought my 2022 vehicle with 30,000 miles on it in there for a noise when breaking they said they had never seen this issue before but they would replace the control arms for $1200. I declined because I do not feel that is the issue when I picked up the vehicle the steering wheel was crooked. I contacted them and they said they did nothing with the vehicle other than test drive it and raise it up on the hoist. Prior to me coming in there I drove this vehicle on a 500 mile vacation my steering wheel was straight. I feel they are taking a stab in the dark at what is wrong with it at my expense and I feel they did do something too cause the steering wheel to be crooked. We were in the market for a new ride after our current one got totaled when it got hit just being parked on the street. I found a nice used car on Carfax and it was right in the price range we were looking for. We found it at Todd Wenzel in Davison which is about an hour away from us but we were glad that we made the trip. The sales person Brandan was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole buying process. I loved that we never were pressured in any way to buy the car, and the couple things we saw that needed fixed on the vehicle they were happy to do with no added cost. As a matter of fact we end actually getting the car cheaper because of other people who test drove it and it took the miles up a bit which also brought the price down. They were also very accommodating in that they had the car delivered to our home so we didn't have to make the trip back out to Davison. Overall it was how it should be when buying a car, no pressure, open to negotiate, and a great experience! read more

Pretty disgusted with our latest servicing. First off, they unplugged my GPS tracker so I couldn't track the car while they had it, and didn't plug it back in until we were there to pick it up. Not only annoying, but questionable considering the rest of the story. I was out of town, so my wife took our 2016 Trax in for a clunk in the front end, which turned out to be a control arm bushing going bad. The replacement part cost ($180) was more than twice the cost of GM factory part ($85). While feeling a little robbed, she let them do the work because I wasn't around and didn't have the time. They also recommended the struts be replaced, which honestly really only needs new strut bearings for any noise resolution. It rides and drives great. Really, we'd have choked on that too, but they wanted an eye watering $1132 giving her reservations! That is ungodly ridiculous at any shop. Again they had more than doubled all the seperate factory parts (adds labor putting it together that way). You can buy a high quality assmbled strut complete for under $250, plus 1hr per side labor. All in around $700-800 tops. She declined. They didn't stop trying to hose her there though. In order to pour salt in the wound, the tech recommended a new $285 battery to her...obviously without even testing the battery in it...because it was 2wks old. I just put it in! Nearly $100 of that was for the simple install!! I think an Autozone will drop it in for free for you. Hoever, since we're hosing the female, let's throw in a new belt and tensioner, for no reason in particular mind you, for another $503! There's nothing wrong with either by the way, but even still, the GM belt is $17! Are they on drugs recommending this stuff or just stealing? All in all they wanted $3280 in misc "repairs". They screwed her over royally on an $85 control arm for $629, but now she knows to never go back, and I'll be telling everyone too. Called to ask what could be done and learned the cost for repairs or replacement is my responsibility. I had an appointment for 10am to purchase my car that I had been leasing. I was told when I made the appointment it was going to only take an hour. I did not leave the dealership until 1:45pm. I was lied to when they kept telling me it would only be a few more minutes. When I made the appointment I was under the impression that the financing would have been pre approved so all we had to do is sign things. I was also surprised when the salesman talked about me buying another new vehicle when I specifically told him I was coming in to buy my leased vehicle. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the used 2019 Ram 1500 I purchased from this dealership and the way I was treated throughout the buying process. The truck was offered at a great price, but living out of state and 400 miles away meant that I had to negotiate my trade, purchase price, and all other terms over the phone. Our salesman is no longer working for the dealership but he recommended another person so we talked to that person. My son was negotiating on a price with a trade in that my wife and I were going to let him trade in. The sales manger increased the price of the vehicle by $ 2,000. So instead of coming to an agreement he was ok with us walking out. The used car manger is not a good person to talk to if you want to buy a vehicle from Todd Wenzel. I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation/balance and was quoted an estimate of $70. Went in and had the work done, got the bill and it was $170. I showed them the estimate and they told me that was just the labor. No where did it say in my estimate that it was just labor. Will never use them again. Deal was closed and agreed upon, just needed to finalize the paperwork...I get up there after driving 45 minutes to find the vehicle and all the amenities were different. I was told they would not honor their price, but I could pay more. When I told them I wanted the car I agreed to, I was met by a condescending general manager named Drew Smith who blamed me for the mess up and that I should've known better. Refused to honor the price, refused to apologize, take accountability for his and his dealership's actions. As a resident of Davison - I have tried to purchase a new vehicle there on 2 occasions- unsuccessful both times. Their process of talking to "qualifiers" before actually getting to a salesperson who knows what's going on is frustrating. Then the experienced sales person did not listen to the important requirements and was unable to get a competitive proposal. This dealership does not seem interested to sell cars!!!! Still waiting 6 days later for a return phone call. When I called I was told Mallory was busy and would call me back shortly. All I'm trying to do is obtain the 2nd key for my new Buick envision that they are refusing to give me. When you buy or lease a new vehicle you receive 2 keys for that vehicle. Todd Wenzel dealership is refusing to give me the2nd key because the sales manager doesn't like the deal that was legally signed. To tell me to turn it over to insurance as missing key is fraud as far as I'm concerned because it's not missing they refused to give it to me. Poor customer service read more

I leased a 2021 Acadia, Danny Ray was sales person. He is fantastic. He is the only person in the entire dealership who could help me with the Service Department which is deplorable. My 2021 Acadia with 2215 miles on it was doing this. Navigation system did not work. Radio shut off when it felt like it for a few minutes. Blower motor would be running when I got in car and car was not running. Parking brake would come on when it wanted to, one time luckily I was only going 5mp it slammed me to a stop. My car had 2215 miles on it when I took in when I picked up 4 weeks, yes 4 weeks later it had 2787 miles on it. I will say of the 572 miles probably 300 were mine because I waited 10 days for rental. Will in service is a jerk. All I asked was to be kept informed of what they were doing. 2 weeks go by no word I call Will tells me they are putting a new radio in it. Has been ordered will be here next day should have my car back in another day. 2 more weeks go by this time I call Service Manager John Green he will check to see what is going on. 2 days later they delivered my car to me at work. Same day I got in car blower motor is running but the car is not. Parking brake is on I do not and never have used the parking brake. Call General Manager Josh Gordon, of course got no call back. 4 weeks they had my car I made $439.48 payment on a brand new car that I did not drive for 4 weeks. I asked to be reimbursed for this of, course I heard nothing. They want my car back I do agree to give them one more chance. Now I am dealing with a nice young man named Brett. I explain everything, of course I get I am so sorry. Once again I ask to be kept informed on what is happening, guess what no call back. I call, they tell me they are waiting for an Engineer to get there to see what the problem is. They are test driving can not make this stuff happen and the radio is still turning off. Finally I have had enough, got my next payment in the mail they still have my car. I have put out $878.96 on a brand new car that they had for 7, yes 7 weeks. I want Wenzel to reimburse me. I called LaFontaine in Highland explained the situation they are going to fix my car. The service adviser Nick, told me there are 2 recalls on 2 of the things wrong with my car. Called Wenzel told them I would be there in 30 minutes have my car out front. The side of the console is damaged and this time even though they told me they were test driving my car to get it to do these things it had the exact same mileage on it as it did when I dropped it off. I took a picture of the dash before I left my car. They did not even put 1 mile on my car, so once again THEY LIED!!!!!!! Would I ever recommend Todd Wenzel Davison service department....... When toying with the idea to write a review I kept thinking of all the people who usually write just for the negative responses, but after months I couldn't ignore the terrible experience I had here. I went here thinking a family friend was the best choice but I was so wrong. Because I didn't much care what car I drove as long as it was reliable (I have kids). My father helped me get into a loan for the price I was hoping for. This family friend assured me that the car they continued to push on me was perfect for me. It was supposedly being turned in for something fancier and so I could get it for a steal. I trusted them and I shouldn't have. Before I even left the city I commented about it's shifting heavily and asked them to check again. I was continuously reassured it was fine. Again, I trusted them, which was a mistake. Not even 8 payments later, with my car having less than 70k miles, my transmission died, with my kids in the car, in the middle of the road. When I contacted them they let me know there was nothing they could do for me. Repeatedly telling me I was out of warranty and I "should've know that when buying a used car." My family friend was no where to be found for help or trying to ensure I found someone to take care of this. I ended up having to take out another loan to have my transmission replaced for over 4000$! I've purchased many used cars in my lifetime but never a lemon quite like this car. It only makes it worse that the dealership has no concern for their negligence or for retention. Yes cars sometimes have this stuff happen but after asking around and reading more on this dealership it seems a lot of their transmissions randomly fail or a basket of other MAJOR concerns that shouldn't be occurring with cars that new, with that few of miles. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. All in all, shame on this place for trying to turn profit at the expense of others. read more

Everything was great, McKenzie made sure that my sisters car was taken care of on a Saturday with limited hours. She was up from Ohio and needed a headlight repair and it was found that the connector was melted. I had had both bulbs replaced and an oil change. I usually use Joe Miller who is always amazing and the best butt kisser in the business but Mckenzie is definitely a great customer/service rep as well. The entire team is amazing, so much that I still drive a half hour to bring my autos to be serviced even though my salesman Matt Williams is gone and even though Graff is 10 minutes away in Durand!! read more

Todd Wenzel was advertising $6,000 minimum trade in for cars 2000 or newer, with some stipulations listed on the advertisement. We are in the market for two leases, and had two cars to trade that fit the criteria listed on the ad. We knew that the listed lease prices sounded a bit too good to be true, but with the trade in deals, and the fact that we qualify for all the corporate deals, including Employee pricing, we thought we might be able to negotiate something workable. Reached out via their website and was contacted initially by someone from the Westland dealership. I went over the conditions of my cars and the fine print of the offer with that person, and while they made no promises, they did feel my cars met the listed criteria, as I did. I asked them to work up a couple of specific cars which were under the listed MSRP on the ad, and to call me back so we knew if it was worth making the drive. Waited all day with titles in hand, ready to leave, and even reached out to them a couple times, but never heard back. The next day I reached out to the Davison store and went through the same process. Described my vehicles and checked against the stipulations in the ad, and gave them two cars under MSRP to check on. After waiting over three hours to hear back, we decided just to drive the cars the hour+ to the dealership since the deal would only be good for one more day and it felt like they were running out the clock. Upon arrival we learned of the fine print for the offer that was not listed in the fine print, and never explained to me in my several conversations on the phone. One of the cars was over the mileage limitation that was not listed in the ad, and it was explained that there was a "typo" in the ad not to include it. The other car was under the mileage limit, and met all of the other criteria, yet somehow also did not qualify for the minimum trade deal. Basically, I could get a $6,000 minimum trade-in as long as my cars were worth $6,000 minimum. They did offer to lease me cars that did not meet the minimal needs that we had, for $200-233 more per month than listed on the ad. They claimed not to have cars that fit our needs even though we found several listed on the website. The cars would also be demos, and whatever miles they had on them would come off from our lease limits, or we could "purchase" those miles for 25 cents a mile. I have purchased several new cars over the years for me and my family, and I know how things work. You know that they try to get you through the door with big promises, only to try to sell you something else once your there. I can handle that. However, complete dishonesty is another story. Todd Wenzel's slogan on the ad was No Games No Gimmicks Just Deals. However, all I got from both of their dealerships I came in contact with was games and gimmicks, and ultimately no deal. read more

The finance manager was rude and condescending!! He also made us feel like we were not important because we weren't willing to spend 1,200 a month for a new truck and a car for our teenager !! He made me feel like a horrible mother for buying a used car for my son !! And he basically talked down to me, and stated well your husband said you were buy these vehicles !! I have been coming here for years for oil changes for my vehicles and have always been very satisfied. I really appreciate no pushy technicians trying to sell me everything under the sun and I appreciate the quick and timely service. BUT, the last time I visited on 6/8/2017 to get my oil change I noticed a guy walking around the oil change area talking to all the technicians. He came up to me and said you have a oil leak and its real wet under your car and on top of the engine. He handed me his card and said if you want to get that looked at give him a call. I was panicking as he made it sound like it was really bad, I called my "go-to" mechanic and made an appointment for first thing in the morning on 6/9/17 to get it looked at. My mechanic who I have known many years and trust throughly told me it was not oil but transmission fluid leaking from a bolt that had come loose and you could see the threads because it was so loose. He told me it looked like a "Mechanic Trap" to him as he said there was no way you could change the oil and not notice this one loose bolt where the fluid was coming from. He tightened the bolt, did not charge me and told me to be wary of where I go to get service. I am not positive that anything bad happened at Todd Wenzels but this seriously makes me reconsider ever going there again. read more
