Church HVAC came up with incredible solutions for my situation and I'm very pleased with how well they went above and beyond. My AC is 12 yrs. old and while it's not incredibly old for an AC, it was not installed properly, leaking freon and it's undersized. Obviously I'm tired of dealing with downtime and repair esp. this area gets 100F+ so I decided to go for a complete replacement. I have received many bids and I went with Church due to 80+ yrs. of experience and the how well the technicians performed when my system was down. Due to the unique design of my house, I was worried I would still have problem cooling some of the rooms in my house but they took care of it. They were very patient in educating me and I had plenty of questions and believe me, these guys are knowledgeable. My AC went out on Sunday day time. I called Mark in the evening and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday between 9-11. I called kinda afternoon and left a confirmation message saying I was looking forward to the appointment. Tuesday rolls around and I did not get a text or call. Waited until 11:45 and called. No answer so I left a message and have yet to get a call back. I had to end up calling another company. How hard can it be to pick up the phone and say, hey I can't make it. read more

I had problems with my air conditioner a couple of weeks ago. Mark was able to come out fairly quick. He was extremely thorough, professional, reasonable and most of all honest. We called and asked for assistance in getting our heater back up and running and were told that on Thursday they would come out to do the service around 10am. Got a text that he was running behind and it would be close to 1pm, then no call and no show. The following morning I reached out asking if they still planned to come out, they arrived around 11am and told me that they don't know why it wasn't working but that everything looks fine and left. In the process of leaving they locked my bedroom door and closed it.... So for the rest of today I will be trying to pick a lock to my own bedroom so that I can let out my cat and get into my own room. Not to mention the terrible attitude. We will be finding a new company for our maintenance for sure. read more

I called to make an appointment and they refused HVAC services because they can only service clients with air conditioning problems. Seriously she would not make an appointment for me. I said that I guess I can call another business and she said okay. On a Thursday night, my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. After basic troubleshooting was unsuccessful, I started calling repair places. Since it was after normal business hours and it's been hot, the common responses I received were that they didn't have availability until next week, they could come on Saturday for an additional fee or a couple could come that night for a significant "emergency" fee. After calling several other places, I reached Church Heating & Air. It was 8:30pm at this point and Mr. Church said he was finishing up a job in Manteca and that he'd come over when he was finished; no extra fees. He arrived at 9:15pm, quickly assessed my a/c unit, determined the capacitor was bad, replaced it with a new one he had in his truck and my a/c was running by 9:45pm. The total charge with parts and labor was less than the "emergency" fee others were going to charge just to come out that night. Mr. Church is local (born and raised in Tracy), knowledgeable (40+ years experience), friendly and very reasonably priced. To be clear, I never met Mr. Church before that night and am not being compensated in any way for posting this. I'm just thankful for the awesome service, speed, knowledge and price. read more

I've had to call on them about 5 times over the years and each time they have found the problem and repaired it to my complete satisfaction. What I like most about their service is they will explain the problem thoroughly, and give price quotes for each step necessary, there are no surprises come bill time. GREAT service all around! Yesterday (Friday Dec. 21) we had a smell of gas at our home in Tracy (in our garage) and called PG&E who came out. They disconnected our gas heater, stating that the control valve was leaking gas and needed to be replaced. Knowing that the temperatures have been in the 30's at night and low 50's during the day and that we were going to have family over for Christmas, I called a few heating and air companies. Church Heating and Air was very nice on the phone and contacted one of their technicians to see if they could come out. They scheduled the time with my wife and replaced the control valve. Our heater was back on and working in a very short amount of time. As I mentioned earlier, I did call other companies and none compared to the service that Church Heating and Air gave us! As a matter of fact, I left a voice message on another "local" Heating and air companies "24 hr emergency" voice mail and still have not heard back from them (now 31+ hours later). Very dissatisfied with Church Heating and Air Conditionings service. Came to our home in 09 to fix our Compressor and didnt put a filter and didnt come back to flush our system and our unit was ruined again after using it only a few months after 'Church' fixed it. We also had to have another company come out and they told us all of the mistakes he had made installing our new compressor also giving us a list of all the mistakes and had to pay them also. We called 'Church' back and had him come and 'FIX' his mistakes and yet again he failed in finishing his work. Not only that he also told us our warrenty was up sooner than it originally was, we had 6 months left! We will NEVER use this company again! read more

The heating system of my house had some problem last Saturday, so I called several companies to see who can show up in late weekends. Most companies do not offer weekends afternoon service, but Church. The owner later came in and he was very knowledgeable and friendly and fixed the problem. I am satisfied with the service. read more
