I couldn't help but notice…read morethis food truck had a pizza oven on it which I haven't seen before and the smell I got driving by certainly intrigued me. I don't know if it was on accident or some diabolical genius plan putting the truck close to 66 but it definitely got the smell of fresh pizza in my face and my body to their counter . Walking up the folks here are super friendly! They took the time to explain their flavors and recommendations which I asked for. We ordered the Three Little Pigs and the special Cherry Chipotle BBQ wings with blue cheese (ranch is also an option for all you BC haters) along with a Sour Patch Kids beverage. Pizza review: Extremely fresh, crispy crust, not thick not too thin but definitely tasty all on its own. I had to eat the crust. The toppings of pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, delicious and very generous. Very nice sauce that paired great with the flavor of the ingredients and cheese. I don't think they cutting corners on ingredients here. I'm looking forward to my return to try the other flavors but after two slices of pizza here and a couple wings I was pretty full. The Wings: Cherry Chipotle BBQ, OMG. You know how you get the BBQ sometimes and it's just that delicious sticky icky yum yum mmm mmm good kind of sauce. It kind a felt like that as I licked the sauce off my fingers and enjoyed the jumbo sized juicy wings they served me. They have all the standard flavors but I loved that they offer a special of something different than the usual. And they did it very well. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth I recommend the Sour Patch Drink as it is tart and sweet with a few sour patch kids to enjoy at the end. It paired very well with the flavors of our meal and I very much enjoyed sitting outside, watching the traffic go by while I ate this delicious meal. All in all I will definitely be back. They're open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday for now and will be seen around town at various festivals and events. They accept cash and card, and offer a respectful discount to Veterans, Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement. Great food, great folks, and fast service all make for a winning combo at Mama Jeans Pies. Check 'em out Facebook as well for weekly updates on specials. Can't wait to go back!! Great job folks!

This food truck was worth the drive!…read more This and That Food Truck is usually parked along Healy Blvd just east of Fairview Ave in Greenport. However, I went to their normal location on a Friday evening and the food trailer was not there. It turns out, they are parked at Cooper's Daughter Spirits in Claverack on Fridays & Saturdays before 6 pm. I ended up eating at another restaurant close by and decided to head to Cooper's Daughter Spirits on Saturday evening, which was fairly busy. I headed over to the This and That Food trailer which was also busy too, with one person working the trailer. There were paper menus to look at, while I waited my turn to order. They offer tacos, nachos, empanadas, quesadillas, chicken wings, falafel pita wraps, fries, and fish & chips. I ordered the Loaded Nachos with chili beef ($16 plus tax) and Empanadas (3 for $12 plus tax, choosing pulled pork, BBQ chicken, & beef with cheddar) and given a beeper, which went off in about 12 minutes after ordering. The loaded nachos were piled with crispy corn tortilla chips, pickled red onions, nacho cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, and chili beef. For the empanadas, the deep fried shell was hot and crispy filled with tasty hot with and cheese fillings. I enjoyed with tasty and very filling food with a frosty beverage at a comfortable picnic table, inside of the covered seating area. The food I had was excellent and tasted freshly made.

I stopped at their truck one time for falafel and it was cold, tasteless, and overpriced. They also…read morecatered an event I was at last spring. It was really not good. Disorganized, almost everything was fried, and not one thing tasted good.

We have been going there for the past 2 years. NEVER experienced this. 3 weeks ago my husband went…read morethere...no soft serve. Last Sunday we go there for soft serve. Sign in window says No soft serve chocolate. That was ok....since we were wanting Hot Fudge sundaes with vanilla. Oh...we don't have hot fudge. Hmm...ok. Then the girl proceeded to say, the vanilla has to be in a cup because it is not hardening like it's supposed to. But it's ok. We get the cup with flavor burst. I literally could drink it....so soupy... should just have said, no vanilla either. I could understand if it's a one time issue but going on 3 weeks. Best part....being charged $14 just to throw away. Will not go back again.

They mix flavors into a vanilla base using a syrup. The biggest issue is that they've changed management twice. They used to be Tom's ice cream. The new management hasnt quite figured out how to generate all the flavors. The new management is still pretty good though. The vanilla base is still some of the best soft serve I've had. My favorite flavors are peanut butter, cappuccino. To be fair, Tom was a dairy jedi. He set the bar really high. In terms of toppings, their sauce game is also strong. They have hardening, chocolate dips, etc. The peanut butter sauce is homemade and my personal favorite. They also have crush ins for the soft serve like reeses pieces and oreos and hard ice cream. These are good, but definitely not the star of the show.

My family spent several days at a rental home a mile or so from Gracie's and, naturally, had to…read moregive the local diner a try. Gracie's is an elevated diner experience...all the breakfast and brunch things you could want, but up a couple levels from a classic greasy spoon diner. Not dissing the greasy spoon diner experience...love that...but this is based in that historical experience, with an overall nicer experience in terms of food and atmosphere. Also, before we get into the specifics, here are 2 words which would bring me in from just about anywhere: Donut menu. Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. The biscuit was good, large, and perfect with butter and honey. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and never made us feel rushed. If I found myself in the Hudson Valley again, Gracie's would be a definite destination for me.

This a worthwhile place to pop in for a good meal in a nice…read moreriver view location. There are plenty of pleasant surprises on the menu for all sorts of diners. Our server was friendly. I hate to leave a harsh review but I see others have had the exact same complaints and this isn't my first bad experience here. Once we sat down and had our sandwich orders taken it was at least an hour till our food was out. I had to go to the kitchen after about 45 minutes and they said, oh, it is right here and brought out the bread/ biscuits app someone had asked for. Bread = 45 minutes. The rest of the entrees then trickled out slowly one by one ensuring half the table were done eating before the last salad finally arrived. We had assumed our server's shift had ended because I never saw her again in the restaurant until I went up to get the check form the cashier. She thenpopped out from somewhere to take over printing out my check. I suspect we were auto-gratuitied looking back but she never mentioned it. I failed to check and was just dying to get out of there It seemed like there were lots of staff but where are they and what are they doing?? . People at tables were just rubbernecking around looking for someone. No one was on the floor. No one was out in the tables. No one was watching food, timing, drinks, turning the tables, etc. It was busy when we arrived but almost empty by the time we left. We were there for over 2 hours. I wonder if there are systems in place that were created out of inexperience and are now the sunk cost way of running things. Are there sections? Does the hostess know how to manage pacing? Does the server understand timing and to check the tables? I don't mean to sound pedantic, I just don't think there are people here who understand that the job is to manage the flow, "but was it busy?" Yes, it is supposed to be. If you cannot serve someone, you need to wait to seat them. If you can't handle the tables, close a section. Just filling tables and figuring it out is unfair to diners. Thank god you can go to the front to get your check or we might still be there. :( No owner response needed
