After that, I saw the waitress once during my meal, then she was nowhere to be found. I know the bar was packed for the Masters, only a couple of tables were occupied, but we were kind of left in the dust at a point. It took 20 mins to get the bull settled after asking for the bill. Had I known that I would have ordered another drink to have while I waited. Also as I was eating, I went to check my phone and almost instantly another staff member asked if I was done & if they can take my plate & cup, instead of asking if I wanted my water refilled or refilling it as I drank it, it sat empty most of the time & as I was about to leave I was asked if I wanted more water. Stopped in randomly on a Friday night with some friends and we really enjoyed the food and service at churchills. Brought a client here. It was a big mistake. The music was too loud to talk; requests to lower it were ignored. The waitress was visibly annoyed even talking with us. Poor manners and training. Took orders from men before the ladies. We asked for bread at dinner and were told "we don't do that, but we can for $5." When the bread never came, we cancelled. She said it was being baked and we couldn't cancel, but it never came and we weren't charged. Get the picture? This place doesn't care about you. The night carried on along those lines. The food was pretty good - Performance Food Group stuff from upper tier. Salmon was very good. Rice was totally bland and spinach boiled in plain water. Chicken tid-bits were good too, but very short on chicken; three thin slices. A small sandwich that leaves you hungry. Glad to get out of that noisy place and look forward to dinner with a client where we feel welcome. Very sorry we went there. We celebrated Father's Day here and got lucky to be seated without a reservation. All our entrees were excellent. Our waitress was great. Such a fun spot for drinks and amazing bar food. We got a whole feast and definitely took home some leftovers. But we had to try everything. My favorites were the Filet Mignon Sliders and the Shrimp Mac and Cheese. The slider was so tender and perfectly cooked. The live music, drinks, and vibes really made this date night special. This was my first time here at Churchills and they did everything possible to make my experience a great one. Their location is great but remember, parking in RVC can be a little challenging. Coming to a Bar/Restaurant on Passover is not the most easy place to find food to eat, especially when most of it was pre-ordered and is being passed around. Once they new my restrictions they helped me pick and choose what we could do. This shop is well lit as as there whole front is windows, the lighting was not overpowering and made for a very comfortable setting. The were plenty of screens around if you're watching a game. There is a lot of electricity in the air here. People hanging around the bar and people sitting, all having a good time. We hung around the bar for a while all having a great time. Our appetizer became chicken wings. They were delicious. Crispy, meaty, and great hot sauce. We sat down as a group of 14 and were extremely comfortable. Our server came right over to us to refill drinks, review menu and take general questions. I wound up with the Classic Burger, made up with short rib, chuck, brisket blend patty, bibb lettuce, tomato, and pickle... hold the bun. Churchill's charged me more for a virgin Bloody Mary than they did for a regular brunch Bloody Mary. When I pointed this out to management, she refused to adjust the price. When I said that she would lose a customer of over 25 years over this she stated, "If you choose not to come back, that's your choice." Needless to say, we won't be back! Hi Friends, wanted to try something a little different for lunch today in Rockville centre. I saw a whole bunch of folks going in this back entrance from the parking lot. It looked like a cool secret entrance, so I thought I'd give it a try. I found myself in a really comfy neighborhood bar called Churchill's. I pulled a stool up to the bar and made myself at home. The bartender warmly welcomed me and set up my bar spot for lunch. One of their specials was Sauerbraten with potato pancakes and red cabbage. It was a good hot comfort lunch on a brisk winter's afternoon. My favorite was The Potato pancakes. They were nice and crispy, really outstanding. The red cabbage did not disappoint with just that right hint of sour flavors. I enjoyed my lunch so much I came back the following day to experience their Famous "Chicken Pot Pie". The pot pie was an adventure in dining. So delicious cutting into the pot pie and being greeted with BIG chicken Chunks and creamy sauce. But what really impressed me with the pot pie was the incredibly flaky, delicious pastry pie crust. I paired my lunch with their on tap cold Montauk IPA. Flavorful and satisfying. Sunday brunch with my husband we ventured out to RVC ... instead of waiting on line at the breakfast spot across the street for an hour and half we stopped in here...the place is nice cozy... very helpful and friendly staff .! My husband had a great meal. He loved the short rib hash he recommended that. Me on the other hand the menu didn't have much to offer vegans.... sadly my options were...a salad.. So with all the competition in rvc we went to brunch and were lucky enough to get a table for about 15 of us very quickly. But that might have been due to the fact that the food wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go back. The service was definitely worth the 3rd star though. Very friendly staff, but the food just didn't have anything that stood out enough for me to want to go for a round 2. Went with my family and sat outside for lunch. It was warmed with gas heaters and all of us were comfortable. They had all of the games on around the bar and i was able to check on the scores without using my phone. The food was way better than we thought it would be. We just did Churchill's Santa lunch and it was OUTSTANDING. The prix fixe menu made the lunch part very straightforward which left room to be blown away by all the extras. Their Santa is phenomenal- no fake beard here! He was so lovely and had a chat with each kid in our group and answered all their questions, and we have some chatty and curious kids. They had a photo booth service so mom could be in the picture too!! There was also a hot chocolate station, a cookie station, and a Christmas craft at each setting which the adults enjoyed as much as the kids. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff was on point and merry despite it being what I imagine to be one of their more chaotic shifts with all the sugared up kiddos and Santa excitement. I have been to Churchill's several times since it is a local bar in the area. However, it was not until a few months ago I truly appreciated it as a restaurant as well since I came for dinner with my family. I'm so glad I did because I never would have realized what I was missing! Most recently, I came here this past Saturday night with my boyfriend. The place looked pretty crowded which was upsetting as we walked in since this was the second place we were trying for the night. However, even though it was super busy, we were lucky enough to get a seat within only 20 minutes! We also grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited which really helped pass the time. We were super hungry so opted not to get apps this time and get right to the main dishes! My boyfriend got the steak tidbits, and I ordered the panko crusted chicken. He really enjoyed his dish, as did I. I finished every last bite! My one issue was that I have been here before and ordered this same dish and the portion size was much larger! It really was such a small piece of chicken, and to be honest I was still hungry and ended up eating a snack when I got home, which really no one ever wants after spending money and going out to dinner! But even so, the chicken really was incredible! I will absolutely be back for another meal (and hopefully my portion will be larger)! Was in there this past Monday night for Monday Night Football thinking that the outdoor area would be opened and packed for the Jet game. It looked like a ghost town. The indoor bar was also not crowded and was a really weird scene. I asked for the game audio to be turned on for the game and everyone looked at me like I had 5 heads. God forbid we turned off the Chainsmokers to listen to a Jets game audio on Long Island. Didn't eat any food because I was afraid to after hearing from friends the food has been very hit or miss in recent weeks. Probably won't go back again. Churchill's has changed ownership and it is very disappointing. I had a gift certificate to Churchill's and they would not honor it even though they are the same restaurant. I would understand if they changed their name...but they didn't. I was told they had a policy of accepting gift certificates for a certain period of time, and they informed customers of this policy. I have picked up food here multiple times in the past year, always using a gift card. I was never told of this policy until today, when they wouldn't accept the remaining balance. For a measly $30 you lost a customer and good will. I'll take my business to George Martin Burger Bar, thanks. Their food is better anyway. read more

Our meal tonight was awful. We ordered a burger, onion rings, and a French dip sandwich. All pretty hard to mess up. They forgot the onion rings (we were credited for that) and they left the cheese off my husbands burger. The french dip sandwich was chewy and tasteless. Didn't even resemble a french dip sandwich. Unlike a couple of the reviews I have read, we got excellent, very friendly, very polite service here, and the staff was very accommodating when we wanted to change an item in our meal. Being that it has a kind of pubby feel to it, it can be dark inside, so bring your cell phone or the flashlight app to read the menu. Prices are moderate, even affordable, there is a good following at the bar area. lots of TVs scattered around, and, while we were there, we were probably the youngest diners as most folks looked 70+ years of age. To me, that is a sign of the restaurant's dependability and acceptable prices. The sizes of the dishes are way more than adequate.Kudos to the staff for boxing up my three fish tacos, each individually wrapped and then put into the take-home tin.
