Came here for lunch on a Saturday after spending some time on Long Island beach. It was around 12:30 on a nice Saturday day, and the restaurant was empty, kinda weird. I got the pesto chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries, and also tried my boyfriend's tidbits with blackened chicken - which was recommended by our waitress. The tidbits were alright, but I feel like the steak probably would have been better(?) The chicken sandwich was great, but a bit dry. The sweet potato fries were excellent, but could have used a bit more salt. We also got the beer that is half mango cart and half big wave - great combo!! Overall food was pretty good, prices are reasonable, and service was alright but a bit slow. read more

We've been going to Billy's for over 35 years, always a great meal. Some of the best wings in Long Beach and one of the few places you can get a Rangeburger, based on the old Texas Ranger Rangeburger. I heard their wings were some of the best in Long Island. Went there expecting to be disappointed. It was me, my wife and 2 kids. Me and my son split an order of wings and steak tidbits. The wings were amazing. I'd say tied for the best on Long Island my wife said they were the best she's ever had. Steak tidbits were so good! My daughter got chicken sliders and loved them. I haven't been here in years but decided to order and go pick it up for lunch. Straight wow! A very large portion for the price. The presentation is incredible and I love the giant heat container it was put in. Survived a stop at the grocery store and back to my house when I opened it, it was still nice and hot! I do wish there maybe was a little more steak on some of the pieces but it could be me just being greedy lol. I did only eat half of it and was full. The sauce is delicious as well. We came here after a long day swimming and soaking in sun at Long Beach. The decor is tacky... the seats aren't too comfy... the staff is all teenage kids on their phone.... but the food is good! We ordered the wings for appetizers and loved them - made us want to order more! For my entree, I ordered the caesar salad with shrimp. SO GOOD. They gave lots of shrimp and they were cooked well. Which is why I ventured here the yesterday for a post beach dinner and drinks. Actually it was for their 2 for 1 Happy Hour (which unfortunately that deal is only at the bar) but the LIRR deal was definitely a good one. It was the perfect day to take advantage of their outdoor seating. We had the Potato Skins ($9.95) which were pretty good. They were served with strips of bacon as opposed to bits which was pretty nice. I had the Shrimp Salad Sliders (5 for $13.95) with the seasoned curly fries (+$1). The fries were delicious, and while I enjoyed my sliders, I felt they were a little bland. They needed some sort of kick to them. (Maybe miracle whip for that vinegar taste). My gf had the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos (3 for $11.95) which were good with only a hint of that spicy taste. Our server was attentive and nice. I'm not sure why other yelpers are having bad experiences in that department. Even though we couldn't take advantage of their happy hour, their drafts were $5.50 which are pretty decent already. Overall a really great beach bar & restaurant. The food was a bit bland, but everyone keeps talking about their wings. Maybe next time I'm in Long Beach ill give them a try. read more

Went with the hub and friends to this spot that came up on trip advisor. I should've checked yelp lol. The server was so attentive before food came. After it was served you couldn't find her. We ordered jalapeño poppers very spicy but I liked them. The shrimp tacos were chopped shrimp (what a crime) with lettuce and tomato on a cold flour tortilla. Flavorless! The chicken fingers fries were typical. I ordered a coffee the server brought it without sugar and without a spoon. She seemed very irritated every time we called her but had she been on point we wouldn't have needed so much. The hub and crew wanted to order more sangria she was no where to be seen. I asked for bread and butter to give to the hungry little ones while food was being prepared and she brought me 5 flat everything breadsticks like really? No dessert on the menu yet they had she never even asked if we wanted any. Which we did, but decided wasn't worth getting it there. The seating outside is limited, but for a group of 4, we were pretty comfortable; anything larger would've been hard to accommodate. The service is also average to subpar, we only saw the waitress once, and the food took long to come out I ordered the Mexican burger, where they add Jalapeño peppers- would suggest adding guac too, to make it more Mexican. The burger is average, nothing special to be honest; I've had better burgers. Their curly fries were really good. If you don't get wings here, you're doing it wrong. Billy's Beach Cafe has one of the best chicken wings I have ever had. The ranch and bleu cheese dressing (I'm not a bleu cheese fan, but everyone says it's amazing) are made in house and are absolutely outstanding. They're also known for their famous Range Burger. When I get the Range Burger, I add cheese. It's so delicious and hits the spot every time. The employees there are all so sweet. They really care about the customers satisfaction, and that's hard to find in many restaurants. My sister and I went here and had the worse experience, we actually walked out because we couldnt believe our own ears and eyes. We ordered both an appetizer and entree, but the server brought out the wrong appetizer and we didn't want it so told him to send it back and give us the correct one. The average burger smasher with small hands and smaller mouth may have an issues tackling this beast of a burger! I had to get my delicious food to go due to the F**king Pr**k bag covid-19. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it came with a TROUGH of French fries!! My girlfriend ending up getting the "Blackened Fish Tacos" surprisingly she shared one of her tacos (girl sharing her food!?! Very much like a beach like atmosphere. Unlike all of the other reviews the service was actually really good. Our waitress was on top of everything and even the bus boys was asking if needed a refill on our drinks. Food was good with a decent size portion.
