I was invited to a party and it was held upstairs in what they call "the loft". This review has to do with my experience. Good looking room, great air conditioning, everyone who had a mixed drink, said it was delicious, so was mine. Food was abundant and delicious. Staff could not be any more pleasant and willing to please. The room was beautiful and the staff kept it so clean during the party. It seems like the kitchen doesn't even start preparing the order until AFTER I arrive. This has been an ongoing issue at this restaurant for a very long time, and even after bringing this issue to the manager's attention a while back, the issue still persists. All they have to do is permanently extend the preparation time on UberEats to prevent people from arriving a whole 15 minutes too early. What a horrible experience that I had to endure as I went out with my family for a night out. My boyfriend went to the bar to get us drinks and mine was a raspberry cosmo made by "teeny" my drink was HORRIBLY made!!! For my second one I tried to order from the second bartender however she was busy and seemed like she didn't want to take my order honestly. I saw this same bartender was available so I ordered with her again giving it another shot the drink was VERY sour so my boyfriend returned it, when it was given back to me there was 0 lime juice in the drink and so much cubes of ice. If you know how to make a cosmo or what a martini is it has NO ICE what so ever. I literally picked out more than 7 pieces of ice from my drink. When I went to return my drink and close out my tab because at this point I do not want anything I was charged for two drinks and when I told her she replied with an attitude saying "that's because you had two" I replied you just took the second one back so now it's a refund process fine. I asked to speak to the manager because I was highly disappointed with this establishment especially since I'm a regular here I know other bartenders by name who are great and actually enjoy doing their job. As I'm talking to the manager the bartender starts explaining what happened to the other bartender whom was well aware saying I'm saying it was to sour and I said "yes it was" she said "but there is no sour mix" and I replied "I know it's lime juice" I have been a bartender for many years and if someone doesn't like the drink you made you can make it over or suggest something else. Not have a horrible attitude. What tops it off is when I told a friend I brought here I had a horrible experience with a bartender she said which one and described teeny to a T and said "she doesn't like to make drinks ,her drinks are terrible! A bit over seasoned - luckily I come here often enough to know that's not regularly it. I was sad to see the brisket sliders are now off the menu. But was HAPPY to see that same sauce from the brisket sliders to be served with the steak sandwich. Yummy maple based sauce! I had an extremely upsetting experience at Taproom on Wednesday, November 26th around 10:30 PM. My friends and I (a group of 3) were waiting in line to enter. Two of us were allowed in without any issues, but when my friend stepped up before she even had the chance to hand over her ID the bouncer immediately told her, "No, we have the right to refuse you service. We don't want you in here." When she tried to ask why, he repeatedly said "yo no hablo inglés" in a mocking tone, along with "bye bye," instead of giving any explanation. He said this multiple times. What makes this even more concerning is that she was the only one in our group given a problem, and she also happens to be the only Black woman among us. The bouncer was a white male, bigger build with short hair, working the door that night. His behavior felt discriminatory, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We never received a legitimate reason why she was denied entry. This experience left all of us shocked and uncomfortable. I hope management addresses this, because no one should be treated this way when simply trying to enjoy a night out. read more

The host was rude when sitting us down and then didn't assign us to a waiter, so we had to call someone to take our order. But our server was nice. The Birria egg rolls were great, but the consommé was super salty and didn't taste like consommé at all. I wish I can tell you abut the food at the Tap Room, but although my wife and sister-in-law were alredy seated at an upper level table after I dropped them off at the front entrance and I later entered from the back entrance after parking my car, I was assaulted by the loudest restaurant I ever expeerienced with giant TV's blasting on a Sunday football night. Update- The owner/manager reached out to me to make my last experience right. They sent me a gift card which I took advantage of with a friend of mine. We got there around 6pm on a Thursday. Our waiter came over and took our order promptly. Our food came out quickly and was presented and prepared well. I had the hot honey chicken w/ a side salad instead of fries and my friend had a burger. No complaints there , except the salad should be served in a larger bowl as it was constantly spilling over. The food was tasty, and very good. The service was just OK- our drink glasses were frequently empty and we weren't "checked in on" much. I don't often pass down this block unless I'm coming off the railroad, which is how I noticed one day that yet again this restaurant space has changed from the previous establishment (at least the 3rd time in 7 years) I was craving a burger one sunny Saturday afternoon, and having already patronized the other burger joints in the area, decided to give this new(ish) place a try. Decor is wood and inviting, very open lots of space IT Absolutely SHOULD BE BUSY and I hope that it is, but it was not very busy the day I went. Granted it was a beautiful sunny day and it was early like 3pm. My orders arrived promptly at my table, the staff was amiable, the food was good. I was in the area for a kids event, my husband wanted to try this place. This place didn't disappointed me but gave me a great time. First of all, all the staffs in there who I met were super nice, gave me a great service. Later on, the kitchen had a small problem with fixed some of the orders, so I had a few mistakes with our order. The waitress was very patient and solved all our problem. Second, the food in there were just marvelous! I got to say, their mussels were AMAZING ! Words cannot describe how great it was! You just got to try it yourself! We also order burger for my husband, croissant b.e.c and mahi mahi tacos (which was too spicy for my kids, I liked it). The tacos were a bit too messy to eat, but flavor wise was great. Their fries were very crunchy which I really loved. Other foods on the menu sounded really great as well. So I am definitely going back to try other things. This place is like a pub with two large TV on the first floor, doesn't seems like parents would bring their kids here, but I saw a few family with young kids during my visit, and they also have kids menu. I recently moved out to Nassau, but have been going to Tap Room in Patchogue since they opened. It is, hands down, my favorite place to eat and hang out. Being that I'm so close to RVC now, I wanted to check out this newer location. I went today with my mom for Mother's Day - and it must have been an off day for them. It took about 45 minutes to get two appetizers from the time we ordered them, and then we decided instead of ordering and eating our meals there, we would order take-out and just get the milk shakes that we wanted to try. The waiter was very kind, very apologetic for the wait times. I have no complaints about anything that took place while at the restaurant, and as always - the food was delicious. For the take-out, we both ordered burger wraps. By the time we were finished with the milkshakes, the takeout bag was ready, so I paid and we head out to finish running errands. When I got home, I took the food out of the bag and realized that both orders were wrong. Neither of the two takeout boxes were burger wraps, and at that point I was annoyed. Granted, I should've checked the boxes before I left the restaurant but my receipt and the receipt on the bag both stated burger wraps. Let me tell you about the incredible customer service that took place afterwards. Within minutes of messaging the restaurant on Facebook, Megan from the RVC location had called me and apologized for what had happened. She retook my order for what I wanted, and then proceeded to tell me that they would have someone personally deliver the food to my house, so I didn't have to go back in. Within an hour, the food had had been delivered and not only did I receive my food, but also a gift card that for more money than what the meals cost. This is was 5-star customer service looks like. I cannot thank the staff from RVC Tap Room enough for how they handled this. I've always been a big supporter of Tap Room, and will continue to go there - especially after this generosity shown today. read more
