I currently work at this location and when I say one of the top 10 most unprofessional, rude establishments ever! The managers treat us like sh*t. It's employees who have been here for over a year and still make $12 a hour. The GM "Alicia" doesn't do her job and acts like a child. Kids working while she is outside taking a vape break. "Ms. Jessica" mind you she is the District manager, yells at kids for a living. She is so rude and it's it's sad. The manager name "Madeline" treats is so bi-polar and have attitude problems it's sick. While working here it has been roaches, ants, spiders, and once even a rat in the back. The prep "Pat" doesn't wear gloves when making food. It's so disgusting. They need to shut this location down read more

Solid chicken, awesome biscuits with a honey glaze, and decent mac and cheese. My first experience at a Churches was good, but not great. Chicken and Mac and cheese were hot and tasty. I should've ordered a dozen of those freaking biscuits! Really, it's like a sweet version of a cheddar bay biscuit. The restaurant could've used a deep cleaning, both inside and outside the kitchen. Looked like the grease exploded in the back. Tables had crumbs on most tables even though they had only been open for 30 minutes and the ice machine was completely out of water. I was in FL on vacation, so it's not like I frequently stop, but I'll probably try checking out another location if I return to Jax sometime soon. read more

Church's Chicken on Dunn Avenue in Jacksonville, FL is the worst place ever. Food was wrong, items were missing, and everything was cold. I talked to the manager and she wanted to argue about the order. Please do better Church's Chicken because I know you know better. Hey you cant beat getting a Two pieces of chicken for 99cents! This is the Tuesday Special. This special came right on time. I didnt feel like cooking and my budget was tight! LOL . The chicken was hot and fresh and oh so crispy. I got the mashed potatoes and gravy, they were as good as instant mash can be. Usually on Tuesday Special Day its super busy but this location had it down pat by getting orders processed quickly. This is a newer store which was clean. Yes, I will be visiting again. read more

Church's chicken is one of my favorite fast food places for chicken. This is a fairly new restaurant. The store is clean as is the parking lot. The spicy chicken is especially spicy which I love. I like when they have specials or coupons.the device however is my reason for the review rating. The workers seem like they would rather not be bothered. The device is also incredibly slow and they will often park your car to get you out of the drive thru while you wait for your meal. read more

Overall the food was fine and restaurant looked clean. The service was okay.... at first. I took a bite of my Mac and cheese, which is my favorite thing besides the biscuits, and it was weird. My husband and I both took another small bite and agreed it tasted sour. I took it up to the counter and told the cashier. She asked if I wanted something else, so I told her I would like jalapeño bombers instead. The cashier then tells the other woman who was bagging order. This woman then says out loud that "it's not sour, I know it's not sour" and then proceeds tells the cashier that she can give me a fry instead. The cashier turns around and uncomfortably tells me she can give me a fry. Of course it's unnecessary because I hear her and my husband hears her from the table. Now this is about the time when an earlier, less mature version of myself would have given this deserving young lady a starring role in the most incredible live spectacular to ever hit a Church's Chicken restaurant. I don't need a headline making me look like a crazy person making a scene over a cheap chicken dinner and the police already have plenty of work to do as it is. You don't tell someone what their food tastes or that there is no problem when they are the one eating it. To insult me even further, she tried to deny the replacement item of the same price to offer me a lesser product. The manager was coming up as I was now asking for a refund instead. me a refund. She was nice enough, but I didn't have the opportunity to talk to her about what transpired as they were getting a little busy. They need to get that staff together and retrain or something. That woman is a liability and will only hurt your business. It's only chicken, but I'm not putting up with this non-sense and attitude when they are taking my money. Must admit I haven't been here since the Covid crisis began so my review is obviously dated. Yet the last few times I've been there the food was excellent, delicious, and IMHO better than that Louisiana joint with more food for a better price. They're just about always busy, sometimes crowded. It's not that they're slow, oh no. They're busting their butts to serve all the hungry, happy customers eager for a great meal. Have a little patience, you will be rewarded. Love the side items that many chicken-oriented restaurants ignore; liver, gizzards, jalapeno peppers, fried okra, etc. Better mashed potatoes and gravy than that old, white-haired man's chicken restaurant offers. Biscuits? Of course, the most delicious with honey, mmmmm. Cole slaw can be good or not, it is easy to mess up thus rendering it not so good. Not so at Church's; has to be some of the best Cole slaw I've ever had. Sure there are times when service is not so great or an order gets messed up. Check it before you leave the lot and return for correction before you get home and find out. No one likes to get the wrong order but hey, look at how many people they serve, as fast as possible, on a daily basis. If you don't like it then by all means there are plenty of other eateries that will serve you a chicken meal. For those times I'm hankering for a chicken lunch or dinner, this is the only place for me. read more

I went through the drive thru and attempted to order the $5 deal which was advertised as either a 2 piece mixed or chicken strips. I opted for the 2 piece mixed only to be told they didn't have any white meat at ALL. I arrived at the window and paid for my purchase and was told it would be just a "minute"; five minutes passed by and still no chicken. I politely signaled the cashier and she said the chicken had one more minute to cook. I surmised they did not have ANY chicken at ALL when they took my order and MONEY. Nine minutes later I received my chicken without the two peppers that were supposed to accompany the order. I was not offered an apology for my wait. This was my second and last visit and I'll be sure to tell friends and family not to visit this location . It will be worth the drive to Edgewood to get chicken despite the inconvenience of having to travel more than 15 miles. read more

Mixed review for my first experience at this new location. First for the good. The cashier smiled and was plesant. I know that's maybe not a big thing, but for fast food in this part of town it's rare. Second, the place is new and clean. I'm really hoping it stays this way. Third, my chicken waa hot and juicy and crispy! My side of mac and cheese was superior to any other fast food place as were the delicious crispy yet soft and gently kissed with honey biscuits. Now for the not so good. I also had a side of dirty rice. The small side comes in a 6 oz container, so only for one person. My problem was that this tiny container was less than half full...so a side of under 3 oz, although delicious, was just too small. They are big on dark meat. Ordering mixed is allowed but our 5 piece upgraded to mixed was 2 thighs, a leg, a wing and this weird half breast sory of thing. Our 3 piece mixed was 2 thighs and the weird half breast piece as well. I always get honey with my chicken, but the lady that served me my order at the counter didn't ask, or give me the chance, yo request anything else. This resulted in waiting over 5 minutes to get someone else's attention. The same thing happened when I needed a bag for our to go items...although only 4 minutes standing there and being ignored. I am long time customer of churchs chicken. First the grass around your location needs to be cut trash in parking lot. Second they did not get my order the way I ask for it to be. Also we had to wait along time to get it. I went up to get a refill on my tea. There was no one in location at that time. All of your employees were in the back of the area. One of them walked up look at me standing there and turn away then another employee walked up by this time there was another person at the counter. One of the employees began taking his order so I waited when that employee started filling his order I ask if one of them could give me a refill. I had to ask twice before I was even knowledge then one of the employees told me i had to wait. That employee then ask for another employee in the back help me. That employee said they were busy and would not do it.then another employee came up and got my tea after I had requested it three times. When standing there one of the cooks had flower from head to toe on him with no apron on. The kitchen area was very dirty looking . I also notice that other people other than churches chicken employees were able to walk through to side door and go into the service area. I will not be back at this location any more i truly believe you have some very serious customer concerns at this location. Even to the point of losing your customers. If I own this location I would want to know about these issues. read more
