Spicy chicken combo with stuffed jalapeños and poutine (upgrade)
    Helen T.

We order their spicy chicken combo that comes with a side, biscuit and a drink. For one of our combo we upgraded to their poutine~ nothing exceptional, they do use curly fries for their poutine. For our second combo we chose their stuffed jalapeños~ highly recommend, they were super yummy. As for the spicy chicken itself, it was not very spicy.

Was craving some fast food deep fried chicken and a colleague recommended this place. I recall in my childhood that church's chicken was a forerunner to many other fried chicken chains. Anyways, I got the 4 piece chicken combo with a coleslaw and ice tea. The chicken has a crispy skin, juicy interior. You know a place is doing fried chicken well when you bite into the chicken breast that's fully cooked yet moist. Church's comes close to that gold standard but the breast is just a tad dry - not bad though considering it's fast food. I got the spicy chicken and boy does it have a kick. Not unbearable but it will be spicy! 3.5/5 The coleslaw is creamy and sweet - reminiscent of most coleslaws. I wish it had a little more colour but the flavor is there. 3/5 Finally, the biscuit was the best thing there. It was perfectly crisp on the outside with an amazing sweet glaze. The inside is moist and soft and fluffy and buttery. Overall just amazing - sweet, crispy, soft, buttery - perfect biscuits! 4:5/5 Overall, pretty good experience - chicken is on par with Popeyes but biscuit definitely exceeds.

Picking up today's Daily Deal... Three chicken tenders for $4.99 at this Lawrence Avenue E location just west of Kennedy Avenue. Service was a little slow but the snack kept someone happy.

    Church's buscuits, I got 6 for $4.99, and 12 I think is just over $7

We went over to church's chicken for some biscuits and we weren't disappointed. As usual the biscuits were crunchy on the outside, with a sugary topping that stayed crispy all the way home and then some. We were also delighted with the soft fluffy inside, you could feel layers that had real butter and they were airy and moist, every bite was just so satisfying! I think Church's makes an amazing biscuit, and the best I've tasted from any fast food retailer. I posted some menu pictures, because I wasn't able to find the prices online when I was searching. The staff at this location were friendly and were able to answer all of our questions. We didn't see the specials menu, and at this time Ontario locations didn't have any online or printable coupons. We only went for the biscuits, but we did see that they had a poutine that I think we'll try with their crinkle cut fries, which looked really interesting. Overall a good experience at church's chicken, and we'd go again for these fluffy little bites of deliciousness.

The regular fried chicken was just okay. But the "Defy the fury" pepper chicken was good. They take the regular friend chicken and then sauce and toss it like wings. It costs $0.50 extra per piece of chicken.

I ordered the 4pc Chicken Combo and the pieces of chicken are huge! The outside batter is very crunchy but i think its a little too thick, I would prefer less batter. The meat on the inside is very juicy and delicious. For the side, i got some jalapeno bombers which i don't like at all. Theres melted cheddar on the inside with little bits of jalapeno, really nothing special. Edit: I came back and got the Mexicana Sandwhich and i really like it. Really reminds me of a better, upgraded version of a Junior Chicken from McDonald's. I would come back to try the other sandwhiches!

The guy serving us was probably the owner because he was friendly and knowledgeable, he let me try the sauces I was questioning about. The fresh ingredients is key and this place has fresh potatoes for their fries && not frozen like everywhere else! The sauces were great and I appreciate them being homemade. We will def b back for more!

This place is a definite must-try. The place has a few spots to eat, and the decor is beyond adorable and fitting. I couldn't get enough of the potato puns. The gentleman was incredibly nice in explaining what the top favs were and was even nice to allow me to add an ingredient, as one of my spuds had something removed (no coleslaw for me). My order consisted of Mexican Fiesta and Nashville Chick. My husband took his Mexican fiesta potato as is, but I ended up switching my pulled chicken for fried chicken. The potatoes were amazing! The base potato was so flavourful and not bland at all, evenly seasoned on its own without the toppings. The toppers were delicious and went well with the spud. It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already jonesing for my next potato bar experience.

We walked into a busy, energetic space that stays lively throughout the day, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line. The dining room is casual and functional, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere, and the bright, cheerful decor adds to the brand's playful identity. The Chickenjoy is easily the star of the menu. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned coating while staying juicy inside, and it was even better dipped in the savory gravy that comes on the side. The spicy version added a noticeable kick without overpowering the chicken itself, and the balance of seasoning and heat made it a satisfying choice. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-order, with its flaky crust and warm, fruity filling that makes for one of the best fast food desserts around, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered a second one. The Jolly Spaghetti is uniquely Filipino, featuring a sweet tomato sauce with sliced hot dogs and cheese, and while it is definitely different from traditional Italian pasta, it is worth trying if you want the full Jollibee experience. Other popular choices like the palabok and burger steak round out the menu with more Filipino-inspired flavors, giving you options beyond the standard fried chicken meal. The restaurant stays busy throughout the day, so waits during peak hours are common, but the staff generally keep orders moving as quickly as possible. Service is friendly, and despite the crowds, the dining room is usually kept clean and organized. The team handles the steady flow efficiently, and the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. Prices have increased over the years, making it less of a bargain than it once was, but the portions are satisfying and the food is consistently fresh. Jollibee remains one of the best fast food options if you are craving fried chicken with something a little different. Between the crispy Chickenjoy, iconic Peach Mango Pie, and unique Filipino menu, it is a place that is easy to recommend whether you are a longtime fan or visiting for the first time, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a taste of Filipino fast food culture that stands out from the usual chains.

Cost over $20, where did the inexpensive fast food prices disappear to? Counter staff were very nice and polite. Tables and seats were immaculately cleaned unlike most other fast food locations. Got the spicy chicken option which had a nice spicy kick to it. Very moist and tender with a savory crunch. They give you a small cup of brown gravy to dip the chicken into but I didn't want to mask the chicken flavor profile so I keep the gravy to bring home I believe their spaghetti is made with banana ketchup which gives it a sweetness, I liked it but others may not. To top this delicious meal off with their notorious peach mango pie which did not disappoint, the peach/mango flavor really came through All in all a great lunch, I just wish the prices were a little more affordable
