8 piece chicken combo (minus drink) $25.18!

4.5 CHEAP CHICKEN DEAL! If you ever find yourself in the Scarborough area, specifically in this corner of the city (Lawrence and Markham Rd.) go and check this Chicken stall out. They are located inside the supermarket Skyland Supermarket, tucked near the right side upon entrance along with other fast food stalls. My significant other and I was craving Fried Chicken, as always. and we saw the amazing deals they have to offer. They offer daily deals as do most halal chicken restaurants do. We got the 8 piece combo, which we had a choice of sides, we opted for the Cajun fries, along with 4 biscuits. Drinks are not included. Pros: - CRISPY chicken, thick fried part, which I always love - Chicken pieces are pretty big - Moist chicken on the inside - LOTS of fries - Biscuits included - price is on point, costed us $25.18 after tax for all that Cons: - Fries are a little too soft/soggy - Cajun flavour isn't too strong - Biscuits in my opinion were baked for too long - tasted a little hard Perhaps we got a bad day, since it was so popular, with waiting area and line up, but it was definitely worth the price.

Why is this place low-key the new and improved Popeyes?! So I know the menu signs and deals are overwhelming... my favorite items here are the popcorn chicken ($3.99) and the chicken sandwich (reg $4.29, special on wed. $3.59!). The fries are also decent, I'm not a fan of the tenders or chicken pieces. Service is great and there is a small eating area in the grocery store. Anytime I'm craving fried chicken I come here because it's fresh and I'm sick of Popeyes overpriced items and horrendous service. This place isn't fancy but definitely worth the mission for their mouth-watering chicken!!!

My wife brought home Chicken Kitchen 2 weeks ago and it was really good. Second visit today and they have some great daily specials to keep an eye out for. Pretty low key spot but a great find. They are located inside the expanded Skyland Supermarket in the prepared foods area between the hot table and bakery. Great fried chicken they do here. Nice crunchy coating which isn't too thick. The chicken is very moist and pieces are very large. Great value here. They serve halal meat and offer free delivery. You can also order through Uber Eats. Chicken Kitchen has now replaced Popeye's as our go to chicken place. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Now I can go to heaven, in peace. Place is small, and waiting for a table is de rigor. We placed our name in the Google waitlist, then waited another hour to be seated on Friday night. Based on reviews, got the Singapore chili crabs with the king oyster mushrooms (under the crab it soaked up all the goodness), spicy clams garlic veggies and the beef in black pepper/garlic. All were well done, the veggies had great wokhai, met with appreciation at the table. Clams and crabs were spicy for some and ok for others (our table was Cantonese and Korean). Crab was delicious, and the sauce called for rice to be mixed in after the crab was done. It filled us, but not too much. Next time we might try other sauces, but the Singapore chili sauce was killer. Totally worth the money and the hassle. In a mall full of other restaurants this place was the busiest. Very cute decor and free ice cream!

Overall the food was good. The sauces were all really good and enhanced the flavour of the shellfish. In my opinion, the salted egg yolk was a bit too creamy and felt better suited for something like a pasta. The curry was alright, but my favourite was the Singaporean chilli crab. It was a whole infusion of flavour and had a little kick to it as well! My only complaint is it is a bit on the pricey side (was about $70 per person), but that's expected with lobster and crab.

We ordered the Hong Kong-style lobster, a combo meal, and several dim sum dishes. The lobster was tasty but a little too spicy for my dad, so next time we may try a different preparation. It is a popular spot for large groups, and next time we may try the steak or crab.

Similar to Fisherman Lobster House, Jumbo Lobster specialized in everything seafood. Walking in, you see massive tanks surrounding you, all filled with lobster, crab and other seafood. There are also massive fridges of meat, demonstrating that they are dry aging their beef. The restaurant is massive and can easily hold hundreds of people and you would think they would have the appropriate staffing to deal with the customers however I found the service lackluster. No one was checking in on us or even switching out the plates. Imagine a "fine dining" restaurant and having mountains of shell on your plates. Ambiance seemed pretty upscale so it was disappointing with the inattentive service. With how much everything cost, I wouldn't come back. The flavours were similar to other Chinese restaurants but with double the price point. The bill ended up being around $600. I'd much rather go to Fisherman Lobster House instead. 2.5/5

You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. They double has a cafe. I love the decor! Very open, spacious, dark in a nice way, with a gorgeous sign at the back center wall. Staff are friendly and quick to check on you. The food was ok! I wouldn't say it was my favorite, and I wasn't quite blown away with anything. I would come back for certain things though. Starting off with the salad, the dressing had a texture and taste that I can only tell you was not made fresh in house. It had that sort of translucent quality to it that reminds me of bottled sauce. Portion was good, but I wish they would toss it for you. The bowl is full of salad and they drizzle the dressing on top. It's a thick dressing that's pretty hard to toss in the bowl. It's a minor thing but honestly would be a much better dining experience. Also if they just made their own ceasar dressing. The seafood boil was also meh. I got half pound mussels with Cajun sauce. It comes on a platter with rice, potatoes and corn. I felt that it would be nice if you could pick your own sides, like at other seafood boils. The potatoes had no flavor inside them and the corn was really starchy and rough, with no corn flavor. It was a bit off putting. The sauce was ok, but I think they use too much seasoning powder, or over cooked the garlic because it was leaving a bitter flavor behind. I didn't love it by the third bite. The fish and chips were probably the best of what we ordered. It's the Costco fries texture which I love!!! Plus the fish is cooked well. The batter is very light and crispy. Total perfection! So yeh!! I would highly recommend the fish and chips, but I would probably skip the boil here.

And I have to say, after visiting here twice in one week, the food here tasted quite like it! I noticed that there were many different flavours in terms of lobster dishes, which is good if you want a little variety and you don't want to get bored of having the same flavour the entire meal. We ordered the lobster in cheese sauce, lobster fried with garlic, and of course, the lobster mountain. They serve the lobster mountain with the little fried fishes which taste amazing on its own, and even better paired with congee or rice. We also had the steamed bass and crab legs which were tasty as well. However, there are a few cons about this place. The location is small and not very roomy, so it gets uncomfortable if you're with a big group. I felt squished sitting so close to my relatives and by the people sitting at the table behind me. Also, when the servers brought the live lobsters out, they let it crawl on the lazy Susan. The water that it was swimming in was left and not cleaned up which grossed me out. Not an appetizing site. Seafood was pretty average for the price paid. I probably won't come back here on my own because of the cons that I mentioned, but who knows, maybe I'll be back if my family drags me out here again. If you're looking to come here, make a reservation beforehand as this place gets packed!

Their mixed shellfish fry plate was quite tasty. We also had their calamari, which was better than any other I've had in a long time. If you like fried calamari, this is the one to have. If you are iffy about it, definitely have it here, because it's excellent. And just to keep the deep fried theme going, we had a side of fries, lol. It was not salty despite its look. Batata Harra (spicy potatoes) were good: a bit crispy. The dish also came with bread (for the baba ganoush, maybe) so don't overload on carbs with your choice of sides. The bread was a bit old & pre packaged but I just took it as a bonus anyway. The baba ganoush itself was decent. Portions are big here. If you choose mixed vegetables they're just tossed with olive oil and garlic. The red sauce on the side was slightly spicy - more tart.
