My husband and I stopped in on a Monday evening while we were in Meridian, as we're from Mountain Home and wanted to grab a quick dessert. We arrived around 9:23 pm, fully aware it was close to closing time, and the lobby was still fairly busy with families and other customers. We placed a simple order--one scoop of ice cream and a filled churro--and sat down to wait. After about 10 minutes, we noticed staff spending time chatting and interacting with what appeared to be friends at the counter, including handling churros in a more playful than professional way. When our name was called, we were informed that the churro machine was broken. The staff offered us a refund along with a free ice cream, which we appreciated. Another family who had ordered before us was told the same and accommodated as well. However, shortly after, we observed a group of teenagers (who seemed to be friends of the staff) being tossed churros over the counter. This was frustrating to witness, especially in a lobby full of paying customers who had just been told the churros were unavailable due to quality or equipment issues. It created a confusing and somewhat unfair experience. I do want to note that the staff was polite and accommodating when addressing customers directly, and we appreciated the effort to make things right. That said, the behavior observed between staff and their friends came across as unprofessional and took away from the overall experience. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes that management can address the importance of maintaining consistent professionalism, especially in front of customers. With better attention to that, this could easily be a great place to visit. read more

This place is great! It's really hard to find good churros anyway, let alone in Treasure Valley. But their churros here are delicious! The first time we came here it was great. It was busy because they opened but we were able to order, get our churros, and get out of there in a timely manner. I have been telling my husband I want to go back since and tonight we finally did. I left the apartment excited for a quick sweet treat and came home pissed off and sticky. Make sure you DO NOT go during shift change! We get there around 5:20 and order 3 filled churros and then go sit and wait. As we're waiting I'm watching everyone but maybe 2 people stand around and talking , one person was cooking the churros and another doing something I couldn't see and taking orders when needed. After a few minutes some more people order until eventually the room is full of people waiting and everyone except the 2 previously mentioned are still standing around talking until it was time for them to leave. Then the next shift starts pumping out orders backwards and making all these ice cream churro things until finally we get our 3 simple filled churros and they first tried to give us these sauce filled churros in nothing but paper but the sauce was dripping everywhere and making a mess so the 3 different flavored & already messy churros got thrown into one box and by the time we got home it was so messy and sticky that we couldn't tell two of the flavors apart. I'm really sad because I haven't seen these guys around Boise this year at all! They're one of the funnest food trucks the Treasure Valley has to to offer. The churros are delicous and they make them in all sorts of variety. Personally, I love a plain old-fashioned churro without any crazy toppings. However, it's fun to see someone take a delicous treat and double up the amusement. I've only found them hanging out once at a food truck event out at Kleiner Park in Meridian. Their signature dish is the Horseshoe Bend Churro Cup. It's a cup filled with a couple scoops of delicous, creamy, locally sourced ice cream with whip cream and sprinkles and a churro looping through the top (see photo attached). My friend's kids went crazy for these! I really wish they would come out again for the summer but quite understandably with COVID lurking around still I'd doubt we'll be seeing them this year but I sure do hope I'm wrong! read more

How I heard about the food truck: Some residence and I, of Bainbridge, were in charge of hosting National Night Out (NNO). I was responsible for food. I contacted numerous of food trucks, including CB. Many of the food truck businesses took days (some even a week) to respond. Others would read the message, and never respond, and others said they were nor interested in coming. Those who said they were interested indicated they wanted a flat fee, aside from food sales, to come. CB was quick to respond, and was ecstatic to participate with NNO. The communication never stop with CB, showing a high level of proper form. The owner contacted me the day of the event, to confirm. The individual also showed up an hour before to set up for NNO.Staff:The two brothers were absolutely professional the entire time. The individuals showed up on time to set up, they kept the communication line open. They were friendly to our residence, and had a wealth of knowledge. Price: I got Birthday cake ice cream and a horse shoe churro, a vanilla ice cream (don't judge) which came out to roughly 10 bucks. The prices are very reasonable. In addition, the sizes are also very large. Menu selectionCB offers more than just churros, they offer a wide variety of dessert selections (i.e. ice cream, and other forms of churros). The menu selection is a perfect! Not too much, but def some options to pick from. Location: They are a food truck. You can follow them on Instagram or Facebook to see where they are located for the day. We used them for our community event. Kid friendly?Absolutely! The kids loved the birthday cake ice cream and the horse shoe churros. The kids especially loved the ice cream sandwiches. Average wait time for food?CB made their churros fresh! Holy Moly! The churros were warm, fresh, and delicious. As I mentioned earlier, I tried the Birthday Cake Ice cream and a horseshoe churro, that comes with it (I may of even had two). The ice cream tasted fresh, with chunks of birthday cake bursting flavoer bursting in my mouth. The Churro was freshly made, leaving a nice warm cinnamon in my mouth. A nice crisp bite of the churro was absolutely delicious. Star rating:I am a gal who often doesn't give a five star, because I believe there is always room for improvement.
