What sounds better on a hot summer's day than ice cream! I appreciate how many flavors that they have available at this shop. A little bit of everything! There as 4 of us today with 4 different pallets. I knew I was going to be able to try a little bit of ice cream out of everyone's cups! My girls did arrive before I did and got to check out the menu first. They got ordering first while I was figuring out what sounded good. And trust me, everything sounded lovely! But, after much debate with myself, I went with the banana pudding. This is some of the best banana pudding ice cream that I've had! I love that the banana flavoring isn't artificial tasting. There's nilla wafers in each bite. I got the kiddie size and regret not ordering the single serving. Which the single serving scoops very big! I adore a business that gives their customers their money's worth! My daughter got a chocolate ice cream with brownie and Oreo pieces. I forgot the name of it and I'm sad I did, it's a must have next time! I also tried my neice's strawberry ice cream, killer good! And I got a bit of my other niece's mint chocolate chip too. I appreciate that it wasn't overly minty like you're chewing a piece of gum. It was balanced with mint and chocolate pieces. I also like the fact that it wasn't colored with green food coloring. The venue is very big and bright. I love all the big windows that allow all the sunlight in. There's a cute kids room for the little ones to enjoy their treats. A banquet room is also available for birthday parties or social events. Pints of ice cream is available to take home and also ice cream cakes. Who needs these big franchise shops when you have these great options from a local small business. I'm happy that I got to share a fun ice cream date with my girls at this shop. I fortunately have an ice cream date with my youngest neice so we headed to Soft Landing, Eagle today. Last week when I walked in, I was in awww at how cute this ice cream joint is. I didn't really get to check it out last week since I was in and out. Today, I really got to see all the fun details of the place. I just adore the coloring, the soft pastels is such a delicate way to brighten the venue without being too overwhelming. The big windows add so much natural light in. A small venue that's intimate and fun to enjoy your soft serve. My niece and I were instantly greeted by a handful of sweet girls behind the counter. All smiles and eager to help. I hope they maintain this kind of service. It was delightful to be greeted that way. I saw that they had pistachio last week which caught my eye! So, of course I had to have it today! I did ask for a sample just in case. It was delicious so I grabbed a kiddie pistachio and chocolate mix. My sweet niece got a kiddie strawberry with brownie pieces. The tables were actually full when we were ordering. We must have came in at the right time cause quite a few tables opened up after we paid. We got a little table by all the merch. I noticed a little fridge with pre made ice cream sandwiches to go. Sprinkles, caramel sauce, bags and of course those soft t shirts were nicely organized on the wall. You know I had to check it all out after I was done. Everything was too cute not to look at. My ice cream so was good! The pistachio and chocolate combination was chef's kiss. I always have good intentions on grabbing a kid's size to be mindful of my diet. But I always regret it cause I totally could have eaten a bigger cup of this combination. My neice's cup was completely cleaned out so I will take that as my neice enjoying her treat as much as I did. I'm so happy that this local business opened up a second location. Nice menu up on the wall with clear pricing and instructions for how to order. The workers were polite and although a little frazzled because it looks like they're still learning, they were fairly efficient and knowledgeable. The reason for the missing stars is because of the most important part of a place like that, and that is flavor. I've tried multiple flavors, and all of them are extremely bland, even the vanilla which is a basic flavor, easy to create. I have to say the one that left me lacking the most was the pistachio. It was almost as if there was no flavor at all. Yes, this place will remain popular for a while because our town has been yearning for a quality ice cream shop since Scoops closed. But once the buzz dies down, I recommend that they start offering quality real scooped ice cream in addition to the soft serve. That is, if they can find a way to give those flavors of flavor boost.

I don't know what they feed them cows in Idaho, but it should be standard for all cows across America! Their ice cream is soooo good! I appreciate anything chocolate and this one didn't disappoint! I got it with my favorite chocolate sprinkles on a waffle cone. It's as yummy as they come! (Note to Stella: If you had chocolate dipped waffle cones, I'd pay extra! :) ) We decided to eat in the store and the 5-year old in me came out! Sprinkles fell on the floor - sharing with friends maybe resulted in some ice cream on the floor (okay there was cream on the floor) and generally we made a trail of ice cream, crumbs and sprinkles from the aback to front of the restaurant.
