I was unable to cook today and wanted something meaty and with a little spice! I remember that Chuy's Taco's has other menu items the then tacos!!! I have wanted to try their Torta, and today was the day!!! I ordered Carne Asada Torta, it comes with carne asada, lettuce, tomato, avocado, salsa, and lots of carne asada!!! My tummy was very happy that it was quite a big torta bun!!! And when I unwrapped the torta, there was so much meat it poured out of the bun!!!! The bun was lightly grilled to perfection!!!! The meat was perfectly cut into small bites of meat, and all the vegetables perfectly blended together when you take a bit!!! It was delicious!!!! This was my favorite taco truck to order from when work led me into the Delta area, and it will definitely be a taco truck that I will drive out of my way for if I have a craving while passing I-5. They're located a mile south of Courtland. Parking is on a dirt shoulder area overlooking the Sacramento River, so you can have your delicious food with a view or on the provided foldable chairs and table. I've only ever had their quesadillas and tacos here, and I love the carnitas here and the accompanying sauce so much. Prices are very affordable; though I know people that won't agree with the $2 per taco price, I think their tacos are worth the price. They only accept cash, so come prepared! read more

Was driving along the river and got hungry. Always saw this taco truck while driving on the river highway and finally had the time and appetite to try them out. Their super burrito was pretty good and filling. And it's right on the river so if you have a chair in your trunk you can pull it out and enjoy your food while taking in the view of the Sacramento River. read more

The Hubbs and I took a little trip to Mei Wah beer house in Isleton and seen this place along the delta as we made our way to Sacramento. We decided to stop and try it out and boy oh boy are we happy we did. Absolutely the best tacos ever! Like most street tacos they come with two tortillas, and I love how the outer tortilla of these tacos always has a nice little sear/crunch to them. Making it a nice sturdy taco to pick up and take a bite out of. We've tried the chicken which is shredded, juicy and full of flavor as well as the carne asada tacos which are also fire!! The meat is fresh, tender, and tacos are piping hot/fresh. The salsa can be on the spicy side if your like me and don't prefer spicy, but it's nothing I couldn't handle, I actually love the flavor it adds to the taco and you can wash it down and cool it off with one of their ice cold drinks they have to offer. If your in the area and see the truck try it out and if/when you stop get the taco, but don't just order one because trust me you'll wish you ordered more after trying it and once you've tried it, one will never be enough (wink). I've got to admit that at times the Hubbs and I have actually gone out of our way to enjoy their food again and again. read more

Tony's Tacos is a wonderful taco truck located just south of Courtland along HWY 160. It is on the east bank of the Sacramento River, right next to the Paintersville Bridge (the yellow drawbridge). Tony's has a complete menu of tacos, burritos, tortas and a few other items. They carry Jarritos along with mainstream soda. The tacos are perfect for a picnic at a local Delta winery. The tacos are wonderful-- the tortillas are heated and toasted so they have an itty bitty crunch to them. I've had the asada and carnitas tacos and both were delectable. Tony knows how to make some ridiculously mouthwatering tacos. Food: This may be the best darn taco truck from which I have ever had the pleasure of purchasing food. I had real doubts that they could deliver because of the random location and the fact that I was starving with few other options. After having sampled the food, I confess I would actually go out of my way to get this again. My boo and I had just visited the Clarksburg Old Sugar Mill for some wine tasting and were looking for some food. I'm finding it harder and harder to locate a place that uses the stuff and does so well, so hats off to you, Tony. If you're into organ meats, they also have lengua and a couple other offal offerings. Atmosphere: You can tell that their primary clientele are blue collar workers, truckers, and farm hands who have to travel through Courtland on a regular basis. I did see a few tourists and city slickers who gravitated toward this place like flies (guilty myself) because there is pretty much nothing else around in a five mile radius. The truck is located in the SF bay delta right up against the water's edge on a road near the Paintersville Bridge. Luckily they have colonized a fairly spacious shoulder, so finding parking isn't an issue. Their seating area is one table and a couple of folding chairs and was already populated when we arrived. With the gorgeous view of the delta, eating in the car proved enjoyable. You might be parked next to a trucker scarfing down his tacos in the same manner. Service: English is not their strong point, but they knew what I wanted and gave it to me. No muss, no fuss. The food is also ridiculously cheap. Been coming here since I was 12 and the food has never changed. You have to catch them when they're there tho cuz during the winter months they leave early or don't come out at all. In my opinion the tacos de cabeza are the best and the view of the Sac river while you're eating is nice as well. If you have an appetite the giant burrito is a meal in itself. This local taco truck is the real deal. Questionably nutritious but always delicious. Super Burritos are giant--enough for two meals--but don't have tons of fixins so we like to get them and add our own veggies, etc. Carnitas is our fave. The best bang for your buck on the Delta. read more
