This was my second attempt at trying this place on a Sunday for their dollar street tacos and I was successful. The first time I came, the line was so long, it went all the way back to the railroad tracks and I was too hungry to stand in line for an hour. Their street tacos were delicious. I ordered 2 al pastor and 4 carne Asada street tacos. I finished it within 5 minutes and wished I ordered more. I did like the carne Asada more than the al pastor. It had a rich and smokey flavor. The tortilla was warm and soft and the tacos were full of meat. The staff was friendly and everyone was so nice. People were sitting in their cars and blasting music. It was a party in the parking. Came for dollar taco night last night and was expecting the line to be hella long, but we got lucky and there were only 3 ppl ahead of us. They've added an additional tent and brought in more workers since the last time we were here. The new set up is great and very efficient. There isn't anywhere else close to Lodi that has this good of a deal for tacos! The pastor tacos are still not coming with pineapple, but for a dollar I guess I can live without it. Found this taco stand thru IG and went for their $1 tacos on Sundays only (5pm-11pm). Man, you cannot find a better $1 taco in Sac! Fight me! Their meats are legit. I tried the chorizo, carne asada, and the al pastor (on a spit with a fresh pineapple). They have other meats and any meat is included in their $1 taco special. All were flavorful, but my favorite was the al pastor, least favorite was the carne asada, only because there was a big piece of gristle in my first bite. Their condiment and salsa bar is nice and well stocked when we went around 9pm on Easter. Also no line but started to get busy after we got there. The workers are nice and efficient. The aguas frescas are only $6 for a large. We got the pineapple and it was good and not overly sweet. Not sure if they rotate flavors, but I would love a pepino (cucumber) and lime option. Maggy's Tacos has been popping up right off of West El Camino, near the new 7-eleven and Dutch Bros. It's across the street from those right after the 80. It's been a popular spot and I've had multiple people recommend them. Since they're a pop-up we don't always know when they'll be there but when they are it's usually dinner time and they're open late. They offer a good variety of proteins and menu options, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, mulitas, vampiros and alambres with your choice of asada, pastor, chorizo, polo, suadero, buche, tripa or cabeza. We ordered a pastor torta ($12) and a suadero burrito ($12). They were ready quickly and came out HOT. I grabbed a couple salsas and took them home and they were still so so hot. Parking is street parking and they do not take cards. The food was so delicious and it was a generous portion of food for both the burrito and the torta. Love coming to maggys. I would say the burritos are my favorite. The burrito is huge, enough for me to get two meals or split with someone. I get the carne asada, they melt the cheese on the tortilla and the meat of super flavorful. The station always has salsa and other fixings to add to your food. We found this place in Natomas and tried it! We were hooked!! The salsa really got me! I am drooling even writing this lol! So they have many varieties of salsa, varying in spice levels! They also have cucumbers, cilantro, onions, grilled onions and serranos, lime, etc. Everything is laid out and you can take whatever you like! I love that because I absolutely love their salsa! I usually get tacos and they're pretty good! They give a lot of meat and the tortillas are bigger at the Natomas location. They suddenly disappeared a few days ago. We were sad so we hunted them down and found they're at the El Camino location lol. Well we followed them, but it was strange. It was like it's a different food truck. 100% would not recommend this place. I live close by and have passed by this taco stand for some time now. I decided to give this place a try tonight. I can say I would not come back here. They have an extensive salsa area with condiments - that should've been my hint. They just slap some meat on the tortillas and expect you to put the garnishes. Everything was going fine until people who ordered after us were getting their food. They didn't explain what was going on as we continued to wait. I ordered 10 tacos and only got 9. One of the tacos had meat that had a fuel taste to it. The tacos were also so greasy, I felt like I was eating oil with how oily it was. Their chorizo had a strong seasoning in it like cardamom, I wouldn't recommend getting chorizo. Over all, save your money and go to another taco stand like 323 tacos. They make their tortillas fresh and put garnishes on the taco for the same price. I'm not sure why people rave about this place. Came for some late night tacos to their location off of E.Commerce. Many options to choose from. Ordered three tacos, 1 tripa, 1 buche and 1 cabeza and added all the toppings which they have about 4 to 5 different salsas/chile to choose from. Service was quick from the time I ordered I had my tacos within two minutes. Of the tacos that I ordered all had great flavor, but the best was the tripa taco, it was cooked and crispy to perfection. Will definitely visit again for another late night stop when in need of some quick Mexican fast food. read more

Maggys was setting up in Folsom recently, And we were going to get tacos a couple days a week, then they stopped showing up :( We eat at a lot of taco stands in and around Sacramento, I would put Maggys in the top 5. I have been trying to find out where they are setting up currently but their instagram isn't updated, such a shame! If they actually let their customers know where they will be, then the customers will show up. I know I would! They grill their meats on the BBQ so they have that mmm bop flavor going on, not a lot of places do that, and each meat actually has a distinct flavor so you can really tell what kind of taco you are eating. read more

Reviewing the Delta Shores location - I drive past this spot everyday and finally decided to give it a try. I felt rushed and really couldn't hear anything anyone was saying. Ordered 2 tacos (grilled pork), rice and beans, and a torta. Portion sizes were pretty small for $23. Flavor was alright. Wow, this place reminds me of Mexican food growing up in SoCal. My personal favorites are the asada and al pastor. Both tacos and mulitas are great choices. You can have choices on what toppings to put (radishes, cilantro, chopped onions) and several salsas as well. Their exact location as of this date is on the corner of East Commerce and New Market Way (close to the Safeway in Natomas. There's a small turnout where a handful of cars can park but we ended up just parking at the Safeway parking lot and walked there. Honestly, so excited to have found this place. Some of the best tacos around!! I love the market feel at night, and they have so many condiments and sauces that you can add to the tacos. They have a ton of different meats including triple and stomach, and the tacos themselves are filled to the brim with meat! I've always wanted to visit since I'm always seeing it when I drive by. It's pretty hard to park though since you have to turn into the lot right as you turn into Freeport going northbound. I got a pastor, carne, and tripe taco for $3 per taco. I love it when their tent pops up in Natomas! They finally came back near the Safeway Plaza. I've been to their tent a few times and it's the best mexican street food/tacos we've had while living in the Natomas area. Tacos are $3 each, but pretty worth it imo. We always get their Asada, Cabeza, and Al Pastor tacos. Make sure to top it off with some cilantro and onions (they don't auto do this for you). Their sauces are delicious. Every sauce has a nice spicy kick to it. I have a high spice tolerance and loved them all, but the red/orangey colored sauce will get you! It's HOT. Like, HOT-HOT. Service is quick. Saw them on the side of the road at Delta Shores last month but finally tried them today. They weren't bad but they were kinda pricey and I wasn't a huge fan of only being able to pay via an app (cash app/zelle/venmo) or cash since I don't really carry cash on me anymore. They also asked if my order was for here or to go but they didn't have any tables or chairs to "dine in" at. The food itself was really good. Just ate at the Freeport-Florin location an hour and a half ago. I love their tacos, I've been going there many, many times this summer. I have to give a below average tonight; sorry. I was eating and I feel something not right in my mouth. It reminded me of eating home-made cioppino or something like that and you suddenly know that mom or whomever cooked didn't remove the bay leaves. At any rate, I pulled it out it was a piece of an oak leaf about the size of a nickel. I'm sure I'll be fine, but you never know what could be on a leaf. I'm sure it blew from one of the oak trees behind the food stand and landed in the salsa or pico de gallo that I put on top of the meat. Maybe you need a tarp over the table with your exposed condiments or move back across the street where trees aren't very close to you. Went here Saturday at 5:15 pm and they were barely setting up. Came back around 6 pm and they were barely cooking the food. All they could serve at that time was Asada, Chicken or Al Pastor. I really wanted the Al Pastor but it was raw and wasn't even turned on. It's made on a rotisserie heated by hot heating elements. They were going to cut some off and throw on the grill which isn't the normal best method a gives off a different taste! They said the Suadero was almost ready so I ordered a taco of Suadero and a mulita of Asada. My taco was so tiny for $3 I only ate one. The mulita was a good size for $5. The mulita was sloppily made and meat was cut up in various shapes and sizes as opposed to being uniform. It was edible but nothing special. Their salsas were horrible! Being mostly water with a tiny bit of substance. The only substance is what floated on top. This place takes no pride in what they do and is mostly run by children who do not have a clue. The workers who drove their personal vehicles took the closest parking and you have to walk through dirt and get shoes dirty to eat there. This place seems really nasty for a taco stand but this is just the opinion of someone who would eat Street Tacos in Mexico! read more

I found Maggys a few Sunday nights ago in Elk Grove at the Delta Shores shopping center, and I have been craving their el pastor burrito ever since. $12 for a burrito, but it was huge. They melt the cheese on the grill first and then toss a tortilla after the cheese gets crispy. They added beans, rice, meat, and a handful of cilantro and onions. It was so huge I was not sure it would close. The meat was tasty and not overcooked. They have a variety of salsas and toppings like cucumbers and radish. They also have a few drinks available. I HOPE I can find them again. The guys cooking were very nice but don't speak much English but enough to understand what you want. Note that this is a pop-up taco stand on the side of the road, so there isn't seating. read more

I've been a fan of Maggy's Tacos since they started coming to Natomas. Their new location is right in front of Safeway along East Commerce. You'll see bright lights and a red tent. Parking is essentially the Safeway parking lot. The staff are super friendly despite a slight language barrier. Service is extremely fast. I normally get the Tacos or Burrito. Both are fully loaded to the max with your choice of meat. My personal favorite is the Asada here. It's not dry and packed with flavor. They have a toppings and salsa bar for you to customize your food the way you like it. Their salsa has a nice kick to it. My favorite is the orange salsa but beware it is SPICY! Highly recommend this spot when you visit Natomas. They are normally here setting up around 5pm. Sorry no pictures. Devoured it before I remembered to take it. read more

Finally tried Maggy's Taco after driving past it for months. The tacos are delicious! Lots of meats and great condiments bar where you can get as much salsa, cilantro, limes, onions and etc as needed. The parking is a little complicated when it is full as it is literally on a corner spot of the street. I got the suadero (beef brisket) and carne asada tacos and the portions were pretty good lots of meat. The suadero was so good, it was tender and juicy and paired well with the creamy green salsa, cilantro, onions and lime juice. The asada had a lot of meat on it, enough to make more tacos with the second tortilla skins. The price was good as most places are around the same and if not some places are a bit pricier. Overall definitely a must to visit the corner of Freeport and Florin. read more

Tacos are fire. Mulita's are delicious. But the star of the menu here is the Alambre. If I were to recommend one dish to try, that would be it. Not only is the portion huge, but your taste buds will thank you. As for the meats, my favorites are the Al Pastor and Suadero, but I love the chicken in my Mulita. There were many topping options available such as: grilled onions, pickled onions, chopped onions, etc. also, there salsas available all self serve Overall, the family enjoyed the tacos. But without the WOW effect. Though we would return from time to time, we will probably continue our search for a perfect taco. Good variety of meats like tripe, cabeza, buche, asada, chicken, al pastor (juicy and flavorful) and even the harder to come by suadero. I had 4 tacos and my friend had a huge quesadilla. It's take out only as it's a pop up stand with nowhere to sit, no problem as I live down the street. They have really good salsa's, some are super spicy just how I like it, but voy a little goes a long way. This place is pretty good. Parkings a little tough when there's a lot of people. It's right in the corner of Florin rd. and Freeport. I only had the carne asada torta. This is my go-to taco stand place which is right by where I live . I usually get their tripa tacos which is super tasty and amazing. The only reason why I am giving it a 4 star is because they usually cook the meat ahead of time and put it away so by the time you order tacos, they don't come out warm and fresh. I've had tacos stands/places where they put the meat back on the grill for the customers, but this place does not do that. read more

Was heading to South Natomas to get some street tacos but saw this as we we're heading out of the neighborhood. Decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did! We ordered 5 Asada tacos and 1 Pollo taco. We also got one Pineapple Agua Fresca. The tacos come plain, all the toppings are separate and you can grab as much or as little as you like. A GREAT selection of Salsa and the Hubby was thrilled with the grilled onions they gave us. The Asada had great flavor and was cooked perfectly, my only wish is it was chopped smaller. The chicken was chopped small and Hubby said it was super moist, but not as flavorful as the Asada. All in all, if this little stand is by us tomorrow, we would definitely go back! Visiting my Cousin in Sac by the way of the East Bay Area, I've driven by this stand a few times. Once we saw them shaving Al Pastor off the trompo we abruptly pulled into the parking lot! We were so intrigued by the line forming and the smell of seasoned cooked meat we couldn't take our eyes off of the plates of the people getting their food ahead of us. They pile, yes I said pile ( that's how much meat you get) your meat on perfectly cooked corn tortillas and you dress them how you like at the salsa station. There's a choice of onions, cilantro, pickled carrots/peppers, and about 4 different types of salsa ranging from mild to super spicy! They are super cheap and super good! I got 4 tacos. 2 Al Pastor and 2 Carne Asada. Both overly delicious. I hate to say, but coming from an area where we have great food, Maggy's has us beat! Hands down!
