The cheese chile relleno was delicious. The perfect amount of cheese was oozing out of the poblano pepper. The pepper itself was a decent size. The batter covering the pepper had a nice thick crunchy texture and not mushy like other chile rellenos I had in the past. Make sure to order the "Boom Boom" sauce with it. The boom boom sauce has a nice queso based flavor to it. FOR THE SIDES: The green chili rice has a punch of heat to it. For those that have a high tolerance of spicy heat, this rice you would definitely like as some of my friends do. However, I'm a very mild heat type of eater, and the spiciness of the rice was overpowering my tastebuds with a slight burning sensation. My friend let me try her Mexican rice she ordered, and the rice was just bland to me. No flavor at all. Not sure if the chili rice was the cause of that. The refried beans was very salty. I couldn't finish the beans. Overall experience with the sides... Not so great. If I have to come to this place again, I will just order a la carte. The free tortilla chips and salsa was tasty. The tortillas itself was light, thin, salted perfectly and had a nice little crunch. The salsa was so fresh and the ingredients was chopped up finely so you don't get one ingredient overpowering the others (i.e. onions). It was a nice mixture of fresh flavors. SERVICE: Our server Brent was awesome. Very friendly and he answered our questions and made suggestions for us that are visiting from out of state. I also couldn't taste any lime. Aren't all margaritas supposed to be limey? Mexican Martini Spicy, tasted mostly like peppers and sour mix. Again, not very well balanced. Food Tortilla soup was bland as hell. The chicken was thick and dried. The broth had no substance, it was very light and watered down. Saturday Special was some sort of pork Chile enchiladas, those were great! The pork was well seasoned and the sauce on top wasn't overpowering. Shrimp Baja tacos: the shrimp was perfectly fried. The servers always seem to know what they are doing, even if they really dont are are just pretending lol. My go to Tex mex place! The ambience and vibe is amazing and the service is quick and friendly (it can get crowded around dinner though). The must have sauce there is the creamy jalapeño sauce and the green Chile sauce. My go to food is the fajita chicken enchiladas as they never disappoint! Sometimes the service can get a bit messy and you won't always get what you order. For example the wrong order of beans or the type of chicken enchilada . But that rarely happens and if it does the staff is quick to put in a new order for you and bring it to you ASAP! I've come here SO MANY times!! Definitely recommend this place! read more

I'm not claiming that I've tasted everything out there, or that Chuy's is the best... BUT from the Tex-Mex I HAVE had, it doesn't even come close to how awesome Chuy's is. Did Chuy's change ownership and they changed the quality of food? I am not sure, but I remember the food being better couple of years back. I cannot express how much I love Chuy's. It's easy to find something decent to eat here, even when watching calories. I have been losing weight and find it difficult to eat out, but not here. True, it's painful to skip the creamy jalapeno salad dressing with the chips, but it's 11g of fat in 2T, so I usually eat 5 or 6 chips and I'm satisfied. I got the "low fat" version of the Tortilla Soup. Just remove the avocado, cheese, and tortilla strips and nix the tortillas it comes with. Yes, I know avocado is good fat, but I don't like it. So now I'm left with a low fat, high protein, DELICIOUS soup! My husband, who is NOT watching calories, got the macho burrito. He said it was awesome. The service here is always great. Most people are friendly, except for the hostess who is about as tiny as a 10yo. She will be standing there and not greet us when we enter except to say, "How many?" and when we leave, she doesn't say a thing. Rude, but not enough to warrant a loss of a star. read more

My server Danielle, promptly got the manager, Christina, who was also the chef, and she substituted the dish with the best Hatch Chicken Enchiladas I have EVER had!
