    Margarita and queso

1st time here! Yummy margaritas, queso, salsa, shrimp brochette and chicken fajitas. Our waitress, Ashlynn , was very attentive and made lots of suggestions. We also had a visit from the manager. Nice place we would visit again if in the area! Oh yeah the sopapillas!! Yummy!!

Always a good place to get Tex-Mex. Decent prices and a nice atmosphere. The staff are prompt and ensure you are taken care of. I like the chips here as well as the tacos and salsa.

The experience was a great one. I have visited the location on Burnet Rd and you can tell that the business mission statement is followed at both locations because the service was on point. The food tasted the same " fajita beef quesadillas". Bryce was my waiters, very attentive, not too pushy, and not crowd in my space. And that's how, like my waiters be. The ambiance was nice. Aldo is a little bit different than the burnt row location, which if he came down to ambiance, I would prefer that location. But overall, it was a great visit. I will be back

Let's get this out of the way first: the food slaps. For Tex-Mex, this place absolutely hits. Enchiladas Tejas (GF) with chicken were rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, topped with a solid chile con carne and served with rice and beans that didn't feel like an afterthought. The chicken & beef fajitas--mesquite-grilled and beautifully marinated--were juicy, flavorful, and came with all the fixings. The flour and corn tortillas tasted homemade (or very close), which always earns points. The standout for me was the Navigation pechuga gravy with onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, and tomatoes. Incredible flavor--but not nearly enough of it. When something's that good, you notice when it's missing. The chimichanga was crispy, cheesy, and topped with chile con queso, and the Spanish rice deserves its own shoutout because it was . The carnitas tacos were fresh and balanced--corn tortillas loaded with roasted pork, radish, onion, cilantro, and spicy tomatillo salsa. And the chips and queso? Dangerous. Perfectly crispy, super corny chips that didn't need salsa to shine. Now for the reason this is 3 stars instead of 4. I called ahead at 4:30 pm for a party of 10 and was told we'd be added to the waitlist. We arrived at 6:00 pm, waited nearly an hour to be seated, and watched tables clear and other parties get sat--including spaces that could've handled us. The other 4 in our party arrived at 6:18pm minutes later, which should have worked seamlessly. It didn't. There was clearly a disconnect, and no meaningful apology. Waiting that long--especially after calling ahead--is frustrating and avoidable. Our server, Lance, was fine but not warm or engaged. The whole table felt like something was off. Amazing food. Missed opportunity on service. Fix the front-of-house communication, and this place would easily be a repeat.

Finding parking can be a chore, but the garage is available, and this place is worth finding! This is apparently their second location and you can immediately understand why. Everything from the service and decor to the tastiness of the food and drinks makes you want to return again and again. I ordered the green posole and it was outstanding!

Sour cream enchiladas have white breakfast gravy.. not a sour cream sauce yuk BUT.. crispy beef taco is perfection
    Tanya W.

Well I guess the fajitas or crispy tacos are the only way to go for the Tex Mex here. I once again got the sour cream enchiladas to see if it's changed, but nope.. they use white breakfast gravy for the sour cream sauce. It's very odd!!!! So from now on let's not keep making the same mistake. The food and service here are fantastic I just need to need to move on... For my leftovers I used their green salsa mixed with my own sour cream and it made the perfect chicken enchilada sour cream sauce!! Leftovers were delicious this way!!!

    Brent G.

Overpriced Tex Mex. Underwhelmed. Felt like it was 30% too pricey. The shrimp quesadillas were falling apart. The sauce on the enchiladas was a weird red color that almost looked like the color of fresh blood which was not really appetizing. The queso was very good but the chips were mediocre. Slow service. Fairly busy happy hour vibe. Maybe a better spot for drinks than the food. All in all it was a very expensive, average meal.

Enjoyed lunch here! We stopped in on a Sunday & the place was packed. I was told there was a 35-45 minute wait for a table for two. I asked if they had bar seating & was told it was first come, first serve with the full menu available. We found seats at the bar, on the outside & cancelled our table. Had a great experience with Inta as our bartender/server. We told her it was our first visit & she pointed out the menus and drinks. We were promptly given ice waters and chips & salsas. The chips were great & we enjoyed both salsas. I had the chimichanga & it did not disappoint. Took home half of it. Such a cute place with a great outdoor space, perfect for couples & families alike. We saw kids playing in the free space. Looking forward to visiting again & trying the fajitas that Inta K. recommended, as well as their amazing happy hour specials.

Loved this meal! The chips were honestly the best I've ever had. Ordered the pechuga Barbie which was tasty and filling. The restaurant is gorgeous and fun place to be - love having the bar next door as an option to wait whilst you wait for your table. Restrooms could use a little more love

Restaurant ambiance both outside and inside are amazing! Lively feeling, great for date night or family nights out. Food was amazing, multiple of items to pick from! The chimichanga is to DIE FOR!!!! Service was great! Definitely a must go to again and will be a new spot for my wife and I!

We really enjoyed Mama Betty's, the food is generous portions and the complimentary chips & salsa are great appetizers! They have Tex-Mex dishes like enchiladas, tacos, plate specials, and fajitas grilled over mesquite fire for fun group experience! It can get really busy here during dinner time, so call ahead to get on the waitlist.

I would recommend this place. It has a very good vibe. And the service there was really good. They're pasole was very, very tasty, uses oregano spices when I tried it, I would very much suggest to try that. My meal, I got the beef fajitas. They were very tasty and they cook them to medium. The place has sports screens and a bar and different levels. As you walk in nice music playing very good vibe, I would recommend anybody to try it.

And, at both breakfasts Amy made me feel especially welcome! The table came with a bottle of water for self-service, which I appreciated. The wine list was of good quality. My server at dinner was able to give me a solid recommendation for one to pair with my salmon. She was dead on with how well it complimented the fish. As for the salmon, it wasn't overly seasoned and was incredibly flaky. It was a good size as well. For breakfast, The Breakfast Plate's eggs were cooked perfectly with appropriately cooked bacon. I enjoyed the potatoes that accompanied it as well. The Buttermilk Pancakes meal was a failure though. The pancakes were gooey inside. My server, Amy, offered to have them remade, but I declined the offer. So I accepted a parfait, which was easily one of the best I've had in Austin. The granola with the berries were perfectly balanced, and the granola wasn't super chunky. Amy was 100% invested in my meal satisfaction. The dining room is quite pretty with lovely set tables. Every time I ate, I felt a tad underdressed! But they don't care if you're comfortably casual, and i saw a family with small children looking very relaxed and vacationy and they were welcome.

It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. I ordered the Latin Burger which consisted of an angus beef patty, served on a bed of melted cheese, accompanied by caramelized onions, bacon, tomato and lettuce. It is super juicy since the meat is bought fresh from a butcher in Georgetown. It comes with French fries too. I also had a Love Street Draft Beer. The Bichota cocktail was a standout--sweet, refreshing, and with just enough of a kick to keep you sipping slowly. The Old Fashioned was equally impressive: sweet yet balanced, served in a stylish glass with a unique holder that made the experience feel elevated. For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. The yuca and tostones were cut to the perfect thickness for even cooking, with a satisfying crunch outside and tender inside, especially when dipped into their garlicky sauce. The cheese sticks are an absolute must-have--crispy outside, oozy inside, and dangerously addictive. And the arepas? Exceptionally good--stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and sweet plantains for that perfect salty-sweet balance. Every plate showed attention to texture, seasoning, and presentation. Price Considering the quality of ingredients, creative plating, and generous portions, the prices felt fair for a fusion dining experience. The cocktails were crafted with care and worth every penny. Appetizers could easily be shared, making it easy to get variety without breaking the bank. Environment We sat outside and it was amazing for groups, dates, and inside it is super cool. The décor is not fancy but really fun Austin style. There is a section bar where they play music which I want to try. Service The service was cool and amicable. It looks the server was new but he did give recommendations. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great pairing suggestions. Dishes came out at a good pace, and drinks were refreshed quickly. You could tell the staff was proud of the food they were serving, which made the whole experience even better. Overall: If you're looking for a place where Latin flavors meet creative execution, this spot is worth the visit. Come hungry, order a mix of small plates, and don't skip the cocktails--or the garlic sauce.
