I've had such a great experience at UFC Gym. The facility is always incredibly clean, which makes every workout feel comfortable and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, the staff and members are genuinely friendly and supportive. No experience with this establishment as a gym. I was in the area for a family vacation and reached out to visit for a BJJ class. I was able to attend an 8 am Saturday nogi class with professor PJ. I reached out to him directly via instagram to set up my visit. It was a deep dive in catch wresting cradles. Unreal techniques! The staff is really unhelpful and has a lack of knowledge on prices and types of memberships. The front desk person couldn't answer any questions when I was looking for a new gym. I tried online to get a day pass and nothing happened. I ended up signing up online on my own and tried out a couple of boxing classes. Well the instructor is teaching MMA not boxing when I attended boxing classes. There was hardly mitt work and directed us to buy shin guards.... Again for a boxing class??? I tried calling management to cancel my membership and took about 3 days for someone to say they were management to get back to me. They charged me an annual fee refused to refund me after I cancelled my membership. TJ was unprofessional when he called me when I first tried to sign up and even till I tried to cancel my membership. If you want to spend money somewhere where none of the staff is informative, knowledgeable, or accommodating this is the gym for you. read more

I was in Anaheim for work and wanted to get a workout in. My company offers Prime Fitness, which lets us use partner gyms while traveling. According to the Prime Fitness website, UFC Gym Anaheim was listed as a participating location. I arrived around 8 AM, but unfortunately there were no managers on site, just the front desk staff. The woman at the desk had no idea what Prime Fitness was, and repeatedly told us the gym was privately owned and didn't participate in those programs. She wouldn't let us in unless we paid a $25 day fee. Not only was it disappointing that she wasn't informed about Prime Fitness, but she was also a bit rude about it. There was a group of us ready to train, and the gym missed out on our business because of the lack of communication. We ended up going to Gold's Gym Anaheim, and even early in the morning their staff was welcoming, helpful, and honored our Prime Fitness access without any issues. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I hope UFC Gym Anaheim better educates their staff so future travelers don't run into the same problem. read more

This gym has its ups and downs so you may want to outweigh the pros and cons before committing. The gym is very small compared to most commercial gyms like 24 Hour or LA Fitness, but it's not crowded during peak hours, so that's a plus. The women's locker room has NO lockers available, so if you are the type that likes to stop by on the way from work or need to change, you're likely gonna have to change in your car and keep your your belongings in your car which isn't the most convenient. The women's locker room looks incredibly messy with paint and equipment and unfinished walls and fixtures which I've been told for the past 6 months hasn't been worked on. So you likely won't be able to shower there. I'm only speaking on the women's locker room. Lastly, it is 24 hours during the week which is a plus. read more

As a member of UFC gym at a different location I made the mistake of expecting the same level of professionalism. On a recent trip i decided to to visit this facility to get my workout before the day begins. According to the hours, 4am was opening time. I showed up at 4am precisely to find a line of disgruntled guests. I patiently waited for 30 minutes and still no opening. I along with others left and came back an hour later to find the gym still closed. I will never visit this facility again. Unprofessional and frustrating. Very disappointed. read more

Original Review: I have had mixed experiences with this gym. I will say that the trainers here are some of the most positive and helpful people I've had the pleasure of working with. Big thank you to Kent, Caitlin, and Ali especially. Now for the ugly side of this location. The management here is atrocious and sketchy. The manager Gabe once refused to give me a refund for an error in billing and instead offered me tubs of protein powder to account for the mistake. I have never seen anything like that before. I also approached management because I was moving to a new city, and I would no longer be able to train here. Instead of cancelling my personal training sessions, they charged me an extra month, refused to refund me, and then refused to transfer my sessions to another gym. Sketchy management with sketchy business practices. I have to add that this gym is in the bottom section of a parking garage that constantly smells like sewage. This gym has honestly changed my life! I've been going here for a year, I've ran a marathon, competed in fitness events, and have loss 45 pounds. It's a small gym, but a huge community. I've made some of my best friends there, have bonded with the trainers, and have gained self confidence. You can tell the trainers and the owners care about the cleanliness of the gym, and are always on top of everything. Everyone is so kind, and it's honestly the most uplifting environment. Thank you for what you've built Gabe! I'm so grateful to be able to walk through those doors every day. My home away from home! Although I live less than 5 minutes from the UFC in Huntington Beach, I drive the 22 minutes extra to come here. The gym is always fairly empty which is awesome, there's tons equipment and it's always clean. I love that people clean up after themselves, are respectfully and the staff is always on top of it! The worst part of commercial gyms are how full they get, how many broken machines there are and how few free weights they have - not a problem here! The membership prices are a little higher but very fair for what you get. Staff is super friendly and sweet, there's a recovery room (for an additional fee) and tons of other perks. It's located in the Gardenwalk but parking is usually not a problem. When there's a concert or event it can get packed but outside of that, it's a breeze. read more

Cool gym but they never clean the girls locker room , every time I go is dirty and last time I went inside after the bathroom "was getting cleaned" but as soon as I went in there was paper in the blood and toilet stains. The showers never get cleaned neither. Heard a female manager there say they don't really care about that which is crazy. Went in to check out the gym a couple weeks ago as I usually go to the UFC in Costa Mesa and I have a few things to say about this gym. What is going on with the smell. It smells like a sewer and a chemistry lab had a baby, and that baby hung out in a gym bag for a week. I was legitimately getting distracted from my workout because of the stench. They really need to do something about that. The equipment was nice, and they had a decent selection. But I went on a Friday evening and was surprised by how crowded it was. The one shining detail was the girl at the desk. I think her name was Luna or Lena. She was super helpful and very friendly. She is the only reason that I would go back. Whoever hired her did a great job. If she wasn't there I probably would have rated it 1 or 2 Stars read more

The gym itself is fine, but if you ever need to cancel they are the worst company to deal with. I wasn't even quitting ufc but changing locations and they still wanted to charge me an extra month for changing. It is important to note that this is a stand alone franchise and is not connected to other locations. If I had changed locations from an actual partnered location I would not have been charged. I would suggest to sign up at the Huntington Beach location. They can offer you cheaper rates than this location and you can still use this location. read more

Talked with someone named Ari who is a OM at this location she said that we will be grandfathered into a new membership and have to wait a week. She was really nice and kind. She was the 1st person to give me a straight answer and explication. We will wait and see.... I was ready to cancel but will hold off on it and wait and see if this transfer happens. I will mainly use HB & Torrance because this gym does have a sewer smell but i think its because they are underground. read more

been a member for exactly a year. if you're picky about equipment or training for a HYROX, a different gym might be a better fit. no staff member i've spoken to has cared about broken equipment, rudely says they will let a manager know and then puts their headphones back in. most broken machines have been broken for months, and the women's restroom has been closed for "cleaning" since may (5 months?!?!). staff also rudely tells me they are able to provide no estimate whatsoever for when a restroom will be accessible again, which is unacceptable. throughout the week, i work out at very different times, morning afternoon and evening, and have never seen any maintenance workers coming in or out of the restroom. the alternative restroom outside of the gym facility is often a biohazard, as i've found open and used menstrual products on the floor multiple times. about half the treadmills are broken, most HIIT cardio equipment (especially HYROX ones like the row erg) needs battery replacement. weightlifting equipment is good-- lots of niche machines i have not been able to find elsewhere, which i appreciate, and good price point for membership, but i am really disappointed in the lack of employee care for keeping machines and the general facility in good, working condition in a timely manner. read more

Only giving it 5 stars because of their Jui-Jitsu program. Both MONTANO and LAVARREDA are VERY KNOWLEDGABLE in what they teach. I came in 4 months ago with the goal of losing weight and did(from over 170 to now 140 in about 3 months)! Now I just keep coming back for the FUN of the sport!!! Luis Lavarreda's 6 AM class is the one I've attend DAILY since I've started and he's gone ABOVE AND BEYOND as a coach, he did a great job getting me hooked into this sport!!! When I have free afternoons, I make sure I attend Montanos Afternoon classes as "Extra Credit", his YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD OF MARTIAL-ARTS REALLY SHOWS! Had the worst most degrading experience here 4/1/24 at 7pm. I had called ahead to ask about the trial free day pass. I got to the gym with my partner and told the front desk guy. He (white, blond, male)was the most unprofessional snobby person I have ever encountered. Got there excited to try out a new gym and when we told him that we were there to try it out and if we could do the trial day he said "we don't do that if we did we would go out of business bro" so then I told him it's literally on their website and I had called earlier about it. he said "I can't just let you in cause I don't know if your telling the truth" then I showed him the website saying there was a free day pass he answered laughing "well whatever I can't stop you go crazy" as we were leaving he told his coworker "don't believe anyone saying anything about a free pass" If he doesn't like his job he should just leave instead of acting like a child. This gym is incredible. They have the latest equipments and the gym area is frequently cleaned. There are also great MMA equipments and training area. The group MMA group classes are lead by top notch coaches. Everyone is welcomed despite the level of training. A huge shoutout to Coach Rob (Robert), Kent, Xin, and Yahya! I did one on one sessions Coach Robert and saw huge improvement in my skills and foundations. The coaches are an AMAZING asset of this gym. All the other staff are also very helpful and nice. The only heads up is when signing the contract, remember the terms. When terminating, straight away ask for the managers email address rather than the front desk write down your contact info for the managers to contact you. This won't happen.
