I've been going here for over a year, and I absolutely enjoy this gym. All the employees And trainers are friendly and actually greet you in and out. The gym is as clean as it can be, being a very high traffic gym. The equipment is nice and has lots of space. A lot of the equipment is not functional. Repairs now take months. Honestly worst then a planet fitness. Bathrooms always clogged, steam room broken often, pool/jacuzzi. Management/ownership should issue refunds for every month the equipment is not working. Chuze, blinks, or EOS better gyms now then golds. What a shame what this gym has become! read more

There's almost always broken or unsafe equipment, and when a machine breaks, it takes weeks or even months to get repaired. I work out in the mornings, but the staff are never helpful or attentive. If I need anything done with my account, I have to take time off and go in during the weekend or evening because the weekday morning staff are too busy chatting among themselves to handle simple tasks like updating membership passes or answering basic questions. Came to the Malvern/Fullerton location a few times with my friend using guest passes a few times. Overall, Gold's provides a good experience. The facility is pretty clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a workout--all the basic are covered. The staff is friendly enough. I've attended a few of their group fitness classes, and the instructors have been consistent - that's why I keep coming back, but not sure if it's worth the membership costs just yet. read more

Ed the manager should not be in the place that he is and the other manager, I forgot her name but was nothing but completely rude when I asked for help on my situation. They lied to me several times through out the 3 times I went in to fix the problem. Their worker who signed me up, signed his name off on the contract. Agreeing to terms that were never even mentioned to me. So I was falsely told that I would only be paying 1$ for a one month trial but ended up paying 120 for a gym a gym trial I used twice. Equipment is not maintenanced regularly and doesn't work properly. Most of the treadmills do not incline. Only one smith machine that works properly, the other one is jumpy. Most of stair climbers are broken or do not operate smoothly, I almost fell off of it this morning because it jumped in the middle of my step. There are never enough paper towels or cleansers available. These are all reoccurring issues. You get what you pay for I guess. read more

Come here frequently can't say anything bad. I see the staff staying on top of things during the week whether it's in the morning or at night someone is always cleaning and restocking. Great job I see they have staff deep clean the machines in between sets. I usually don't see that at other gyms where they actually take the time to take care of their equipment and detail the machines. They're checking in on the broken machines. And lockers are maintain to really good standards. Bathrooms are usually the only thing that get dirty but that's mainly the people not cleaning up after themselves. Things break but this gym stays on top of it by notifying members with signs that it's out of service and will get repaired. Always greeted in the mornings and at night. Staff is really engaging. Would recommend this gym to friends and others. read more

The Escape Room is the main reason I like this gym, very secluded part of the gym if you want to have that hotel/private gym vibe. It also has three hamstring curl machines, which no other Gold's Gyms have. They have all of the good hammer strength back machines that you can ask for. There's always a cleaning guy in the gym, which I appreciate. Also, the dumbbell area has two rows of benches (most gyms have only one row.) I kinda wish they didn't remove the movie room though, since I just like the darkness and quietness of doing cardio. Overall the gym is great and I prefer this over the other Gold's Gyms. read more

If there was a way to put a zero star I would. It's 2023 the largest companies in the world make it easy to return (AMAZON, Apple, etc) but GOLD's GYM is stuck in the 80s boiler room sales culture trying to imprison people into a membership. To sign up it's easy. Day or night. Online, in person and all sorts of upsells. To cancel it's impossible. Here's the process. 1.) Go online to see how to cancel. The instruction says it up can only cancel IN PERSON AT THE GYM. 2.) Go in person at the gym to cancel. They give you a business card with a website to a 3rd party to cancel. (So...go online to go in person to go online...) 3.) Go to the website to cancel but the websites not working. Even the gym couldn't get the third party site to work. 4.) Call the 3rd party to cancel and they hang up on you. 5.) Tell manager to remove credit card from the profile and they said they can't. 6.) Ask for owner Angel and Willy Banos.
