If you are one of those people who only spend hours exercising and nothing else you can go. If only you want to meet some unfriendly, uneducated, pushy, pushy, pushy, workers who tells you the lose some weight constantly and ignores all your questions or a single word you try to utter out, you can go. They will try to sell you some big assed protein supplements, and he even told my fourteen year old teenage girl that she should lose some weight before going into womanhood where her body will change 'dramatically'. He insisted, with his stupid loud useless voice that she benchpress and lift weights. She was so offended and shocked at his pushiness that she ended up crying in the car. They make you tour and they ask you questions about you; whether your exercise, how many times you should eat meals a day, whether we have a coach, all sorts of questions that only teachers should have the right to ask this way. And then we were very pissed so we decided to leave, and he made us sit, and said that he will tell us about their pricings. No thank you, we really have to go. and then he says, " OKAY. Let me show you my awesome presentation." The next 20 minutes, we tried to leave, because we had an appointment, but he had this 'so cool' presentation that we must see or die, apparently. We were so pissed, we coldly 'fine. show us so we can go' and then he uses his useless big voice and says ,"OH AM IIIIIIIIIII UPSETTING YOU~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~?? WE DONT WANT THAAAAAAT~~~~! WE WANT SMILEEEES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!" shit i threw up inside i swear. so we just stood up and turned to leave, and then he gets out my phone number and calls me on his personal phone, and my phone rings, so i pick it up because I thought it was the person we had the appointment with, but its an unknown number. I look at him and hes like "There. You have my number now. When will I be hearing from you?" ugh I've never been so angry in public before. That large man named John with dark skin was very pushy, and this messed up John guy started talking about how woman have this hormone thing that makes them fat. And then ignored our party of three no matter how much we told him that we will come back and think about it (since your service was mind crazying annoying and rude), and then he boomed, "THINK ABOUT WHAT? WHAT YOUR MOTIVATIONS WILL BE? WHETHER YOU WILL COME HERE OR NOT? WHAT?" what the f...arting duck, dude? By the way, it might be impossible to cancel your membership forever and ever. BEWARE!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY FRAUDULENT SALES PRACTICES HERE!!!!!! PLEASE CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS BEFORE STEPPING INTO THIS GYM. My wife came in and talked with a manager named Cesar because her rate was extremely high. Cesar said he will see what he could do and stated he can do $44/month but NEVER said anything about a contract or adding on another term. She was almost up on her original contract. Cesar just had her sign the electronic pad without saying anything about what she was signing!! She left and thought everything was all good...... BUT after a few months when her initial contract was supposed to be up, we were still getting billed. AND she hasn't been to that gym for months as we already had signed with another. We called in and they said she signed for another 2 years which was absolutely ludicrous! She hates contracts and would never sign into a long-term deal. She called and called to get this taken care of. Eventually, they "said" that they would take care of it after she wasn't the only one to complain about this. However, we are still currently being billed after they said they can cancel it starting at the next billing month. That was sometime in August. She has not been at Gold's Gym probably for 6 months or so but we are still being billed! That is at least $250 in service fees that she has not even used! BEWARE OF THE THIEVES HERE!!! I am no stranger to Gold's Gym. I was a frequent guest visitor at several Southern California Gold Gym facilities, back when Nubian Goddess Carla Dunlap was a serious threat to Rachel McLish's dominance in the "Miss Olympia" contests. Heck, back during the early 1980's, I had "mad crushes" on a few female body builders, and one ended up being a classmate of mine at the LAPD Academy. Later (in the mid-1980's), when I was assigned to Venice, California, several of my girlfriends were regulars at Gold's Gym in Venice. Over the past three decades, I have been a member of several fitness gym chains Most are long-gone. However, Gold's Gym has managed to survive. The Fullerton facility is an example of why Gold's Gym continues to survive.; Intellectual Goddess Marissa and the rest of the Gold's Gym Staff are always Polite and Courteous. The facility's cleanliness is impeccable. The variety of exercise equipment is outstanding. In-fact, the only reason that I am giving this facility four stars (instead of five stars), is because during a recent visit, I was once again reminded why I rarely take advantage of my free Gold's Gym membership, and I instead work out at home.; 1. There is simply too-much "Eye-Candy-Distraction"....jajajajaaja. And 2. There are simply too-many self-absorbed patrons who choose to sit at workout stations busily-communicating on their HOJACKS, instead of actually using the workout station, and moving-on. This place is all about a sale and that's it. I spoke with the general manager Jack over the phone(whose only 20 years old by the way) and he promised me a free trial no hassle 14 days pass. I came in and he wanted to have be fill out a "goal sheet" with his coworker Joe who was extremely rude. He told me he would give me a tour, take us through some workouts and then sit us down and show us membership prices. I have been through this too many times with gyms so I simply told them I was told it would not be a hassle and I could get the pass and sit with them in 14 days and talk about memberships) Joe then told me he "your wasting my precious time I have a lot to do and this gym is not free and you can just leave you can't do the pass then" he handed me my ID back when Jack came back over with a Jamba Juice in his hand (unprofessional) and just defended his co worker the whole time. I stated that I would write a bad review for horrible customer service and his response was "go ahead I have a million good reviews about me, your just 1 bad apple" I was shocked and we walked out. This Jack guy is a new manager and obviously knows nothing about customer service as I am a manager at my business and was shocked. I went to LA fitness after and they gave me a 15 day pass no hassle! I will probably join LA fitness after that pass is up! Don't waste your time with this horrible gym. My husband and I were members at another location before and they never let you Cancel! Mr. Dustin Kasabo a discriminator towards those with medical conditions. With my condition or even without my condition breathing for survival should not be matter if debate. This douche bag thinks he can be my doctor my personal trainer the police judge and executioner all at the same time telling me how to live and how to breathe and how to work. Since when we allow individuals like this to dictate how we should live our lives? Yet alone the need to breathe for oxygen survival. I had my mask down my nose for 10-15 seconds and this man threatens to call the cops on me. I gladly would leave this bullshit place. This man Dustin Kasabo should be fired immediately he is not fit to serve this position as a dictator. With 99.9999% survival rate of COVID at my age he expects me to jeopardise 50% death rate of my heart condition. How stupid is this man? He's telling me not to work out so hard so I don't get my heart rate up, douche bag what is the point of workout? And who the hell do you think you are to tell people how to live or workout? I recently had the unpleasant of experiencing customer service and filthy conditions at Gold's Gym, and I feel compelled to share my appalling encounter. I always have been a loyal customer since 2-3 years. Before this Gold's Gym, I had been with Planet Fitness, 24 hour fitness, and Chuze. So far, equipment-wise, Gold's is my favorite due a vast selections of treadmill and other equipment. However, customers service at Fullerton location is subpar. Most of the time, front desk staffs are always busy talk to each other while greet their members. When I attempted to inquire about membership concerns, I was met with vague responses, a blatant lack of interest in assisting me, and rudeness. It's as if they had already decided they didn't want my business. The gym floor was always wet. Hair was all over the place. They took paper towels away for some reason. I never seen any gym staffs go around and clean their work out equipment since I became a member. I couldn't shake the feeling of unease about its cleanliness. It's evident that hygiene and customer service are not priorities at Gold's Gym. It's disappointing to see such disregard for basic cleanliness and professionalism. I wouldn't recommend this gym to my worst enemy, let alone anyone seeking a clean and welcoming environment to pursue their fitness goals. Save yourself the headache and find a gym that actually values its members. If Chuze on Orangethorpe is not so small, I would have come back for it. read more

I started with golds gym Fullerton before they opened so I got a great deal. I was happy to start fresh with a gym that was brand new with all new equipment and was sold on the idea of a boxing ring being inside the gym. I had a little trouble finding the right fit with a trainer at first but finally was paired with Jeremy France and not only is he a great trainer but he's now a good friend also. I enjoy my workouts there not only because of my trainer but also because of the nice people I've come across there the last couple of years. I definitely would recommend Jeremy as a personal trainer but depending upon your goals and fit needs I would also recommend Simeon, Alice, and Minh. It's understandable that as part of their job duties sales are required but I've never felt pushed by anyone there. They all make it a point to know you by name and I really appreciate that. Its nice to hear "hello Lesley" from so many people as I walk into the gym. The amenities are a plus but having employees you can talk to and a trainer who goes the extra mile and actually makes workouts fun has me sold on continuing my membership. So even if you don't have a lot of money to spend and would just like to try one session I recommend asking for Jeremy you won't be sorry! Been a member at Gold's since it first opened years ago. But only really started taking the gym seriously a little under a year ago. My experiences at Gold's have been fantastic. Staff has been nice (always greeting me by name). Facilities are great. But what really makes Gold's stand out from other gyms, is the training staff. I had an excellent trainer for quite a few months before he ended up returning to his home state. I was so nervous about switching trainers. As I was debating who to switch to, my wife had just started training with Kim Berardino. She was seeing great results and coming home exhausted (in a good way). I talked to Kim about my "wishes" for training (stronger core, while maintaining the muscle I had been developing) and she put together a training program for me. After my first session with her, I was sold. She is absolutely amazing. Despite feeling like I was in great shape (and I truly thought I was before training with Kim), she kicks my ass every single session and I leave knowing that I have pushed myself to the absolute max. I genuinely couldn't be happier than I am with her. Gold's (as well as my wife and I) are so lucky to have an amazing trainer in Kim. read more
