Before Porshia, I've went from stylists to stylist armed with pictures and I've never gotten the exact hair cut that I wanted. Sometimes other stylists would style it and it would look great until the next day after I wash my hair. When Porshia works on my hair, it's always exactly what I want AND stays that way even without styling! Below is the first review I wrote - 5 visits later (I just went today and got a symmetrical bob now), I am still very picky and still very happy! I made an appointment for the bang trim and consultation and met Porshia. She was super nice during the consult so I decided to book the up-do with her. Since I'm really picky I showed her exact pictures of what I want it to look like (Penelope Cruz's side chignon) - I had the front, side and back pics. I was very particular about the way the hair twists in the back. The end result was better than I imagined. I was so happy... I did not even know it was possible for my hair to look that nice! The hair held up for the next 8 hours during the hectic day - because Porshia had used like 30 bobby pins to put it all together! Nobody could even tell (including me LOL). Given the awesome job Porshia did, I went back to get my asymmetrical bob cut after the wedding (Hebe Tian's short hair style). I showed her some pictures and she asked me what it is that I like about the hair. This is the first time a hair stylist has asked me that - it goes to show she really wants to understand not just WHAT I want but WHY. This level of detail obviously paid off. Since I'm blind without glasses, I could not see the entire time she was cutting my hair. When she was done, I was amazed that my hair looked EXACTLY like the picture of Hebe's hair that I showed her. Bottom line - you get what you paid for here.
