    House salad. Fresh and crispy.

Food was excellent. Service was attentive, but not overwhelming. Salad was very fresh and crisp. Stuffed mushrooms had a nice blend of flavors. The Merlot was very smooth and tasted much better than it's price point would suggest.

Food was good, ambiance was nice and our server Jared, was great. Ordered lasagna, shrimp fettuccine, and masticioli as our main meals- the minestrone soup was too thick and too many beans for my taste - won't be ordering again. The calamari was delish- as an appetizer. Best to have a reservation during the weekend as it gets pretty full and it is a long wait for the main dining room Good portion size foods and very filling.

Great Italian restaurant. Had it all, great service, great music and great food! Sat at the bar and was really impressed with the service. I was literally in and out in about a half an hour! Ordered a salad and entree... salad was out in minutes (and was the best part of my meal ... highly recommend the Walnut Gorgonzola Salad). Once i finished that, my main corse was on its way out. I was traveling alone for work, so I was pretty happy to to have a quick, good meal. The whole time I got to listen to a playlist of all of the greats that need to be on at every Italian restaurant... Martin, Sinatra and Bennett. Menu was not huge, but it had more than enough to chose from. Plus, I would rather a restaurant make a fewer number of dishes well, than a whole bunch of mediocre ones. Winner.

I remember when Madison, WI had a Ciatti's restaurant back in the day, so I was excited to find one in La Crosse. We were visiting for only one night and this the restaurant I chose to visit. It was as good as I remember it. Upon arrival we were promptly seated, our server, Holly, was very attentive and friendly. Drinks were ordered and soon arrived along with warm breadsticks -- they are sooooooo........ good. For starters I ordered the Caesar salad which has tomatoes, olives and egg which is not traditional but was extremely good. My husband ordered the pasta fagioli soup. It was delicious. Both starters were big enough to share. For entrees we chose chicken fettuccine with vegetables in a Parmesan cream sauce and mostaccoli with contains Italian sausage, mushrooms, onion, tomato sauce covered in mozzarella cheese and baked until golden brown. Both portions were very large and scrumptious. If I lived her I'd dine here every week which wouldn't be good for my waistline. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed as the food is excellent, the service attentive and the prices reasonable.

Mixed Green Gorgonzola Walnut Salad . I added more part table side . Cheeseaholic!!

Lacrosse is lucky to have other local options that don't need to pay for nationwide marketing campaigns. And as I remembered, the food was OK, but nothing special. Your server, "Ryan" totally won me back as a customer! I am a member of a small group of friends who get together monthly for lunch, and we take turns with the Bill. Believe it or not, I had to look up the address of this Olive Garden, because it is located in area of the city that has been changing pretty rapidly. Always eager to spend time with this group, I had been looking forward to the gathering, even though I was somewhat on the fence about our meeting place. But we had such a great time, and most of it was due to Ryan's amazing attitude! All of us travel quite a bit, and I had just gotten home from a really nice vacation down at the Caribbean. But I can honestly say that not one server in Saint Barts could hold the candle to Ryan's work ethic! He was friendly without being cloying, and he gave honest recommendations without seeming to steer us to the high priced options. To settle our discussion about the various soup options, he appeared with four small bowls so that we could all sample! And I can say that he did OG a huge favor, because all 4 soups were Way above average! He thoughtfully helped our hostess with her own order, tactfully pointing out that he could wrap up her leftovers so that she could enjoy them later for dinner... He was just so thoughtful, so attentive... So much of everything that you would want in a first rate server! I've never met the gentleman before, and I can assure you that no money changed hands in return for this review. And I am seldom moved to the point that I willingly write a review. But it's only fair to let management... And future patrons!... know that you can relax at Olive Garden if Ryan is on the job! (I didn't get his last name and I feel bad about that...) I will be back...and I hope to be in his section!

A Chromatic Feast: The Warm Embrace of Sagra in La Crosse…read more To dine at Sagra in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is to be reminded that genuine culinary warmth can be found far from the traditional epicenters of Italian gastronomy. Guided by an exceptionally attentive and gracious staff, the experience unfolds with a well-paced rhythm that immediately puts the diner at ease. It is an establishment that clearly understands the intersection of great service and great food. The meal begins with a study in subtle elevation: olives presented with a gentle, deliberate warming. It is a small but vital touch that awakens their natural oils and briny depth, setting a welcoming tone for the table. The meatballs follow suit, boasting a robust, comforting heft. They are deeply hearty and undeniably tasty, anchored by a rustic authenticity that demands a proper piece of bread to chase the remaining sauce. However, the quiet star of the evening was a sweet potato dish that essentially stole the stage. It was a vibrant, chromatic triumph--an absolute masterclass in both visual palette and culinary palate. The kitchen managed to coax an astonishing spectrum of colorful flavors from the root vegetable, elevating a humble ingredient into something genuinely amazing. "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -- Federico Fellini The pasta course, often the crucible by which an Italian kitchen is judged, was a remarkably pleasant affair. While it may not have possessed the sheer, surprising theater of the sweet potatoes, it remained a fundamentally nice, deeply satisfying plate of food that grounded the meal in tradition. Ultimately, Sagra delivers an unequivocally great dining experience. It is a restaurant that balances hearty comfort with vibrant execution, proving that a well-crafted Italian menu in the heart of Wisconsin is a journey well worth taking.
