As her Dad out here in Southern California of course i was helping her through this and talked to him on the phone about what the problem was, he said it was $80 to diagnose the issue and that would be applied to the labor and part total cost. I said no problem, he then said it was the water pump and gave me a final cost of $900.00 including the pump to replace it. I then immediately checked around and the nearest shop around was considerably more so I decided to go with Garage 62. He then promised to use the top of the line pump and as promised he sent me pictures of the part before install and on Tuesday evening he had finished all the work and my daughter went over to pick up the car. As requested he put all used parts in a box and gave them back to her and test drove the car prior to handing it off. My daughter said it looked and ran fine and that the temp gauge was where it should be at, he also included all radiator fluid. He did require half of the 900.00 up front for parts and some labor and I was a bit skeptical at first to give that but in the end he did a fine job. From here on out I will have Wassim work on her car for oil and maintenance. Wassim likes to text more than talk over the phone due to his English but I was ok with that. After he informed us we need to replace the engine for $1100.00 we asked them to bring the car home and we'll pay for the tow, he charged us $100.00 but before that we had to call them for a day and he kept promising to bring it but never did and then the next day he bought the car home but it was leaking a lot of fluid. We asked why but was told that happen during diagnostics. We took our car to a Toyota specialist to have the engine replaced and found out they stole our Power Steering hose. You can't drive the vehicle without one and we wasn't having power steering problems. Roger or Rogelio is the owner I am told when I call the shop. I call him and lvm but have not heard back so far. It cost $115.00 to replace this hose and we want them to pay for that but if not we will pursue small claims.

The person in charge, Jonathan Martinez, was incredibly rude and mean when we pointed out the missing repairs. He dismissed them as ''minor damages'' and even started yelling at us outside the establishment while inspecting the vehicle, saying: ''Progressive doesn't pay for minor damages, I have an email that proves it, do you want to see it, do you want to see it?''. I preferred to leave right then and proceed with a formal claim against the insurance company. Terrible customer support and no backing against the insurer. Update: Thank you for the generic response. I am contacting corporate at info@crashchampions.com, but I want to make it clear publicly that this is no longer just about the repair itself, but about a complete lack of professionalism. Jonathan Martinez's aggressive claim that 'Progressive doesn't pay for minor damages' is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a vehicle's safety features. Staff must take evaluations seriously so they don't compromise the reputation of Crash Champions or Progressive Insurance. Please be advised that the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has already been formally notified by my lawyer, based on photographic evidence and testimonies from the accident, as well as witnesses who were present during the confrontation while picking up the car.

This was two days before Thanksgiving 2024 and after a couple weeks went by receiving no communication, I posted a review on Google still no phone calls. I reached out to them YET AGAIN after another week and instead of communicating about my vehicle she wanted to argue about the bad review I left stating they attempted to call me. I printed out my phone logs just to further prove my point that during this entire fiasco they have attempted to call me only once. I sat in their office having a face-to-face conversation with them stating that the cosmetics mean nothing to me I need my vehicle to operate mechanically and safely just as it did before I was hit. Weeks go by and still no word. Once again I call them and I was told was that they completed cosmetic work prior to even looking at the mechanical work and were still waiting to assess the mechanical portion. On what planet would a mechanical shop perform cosmetic work prior to any mechanical work?! What if the car is totaled? I mean, I'm just a mechanic too, What do I know? We have now started a brand new year. It's a week in to 2025 and the last time I have heard about my car was at the beginning of December. If you want your car fixed correctly and in a timely manner, do not bring your car here.. I wouldn't wish this place on my enemies. Lessons learned.
