Back in August 2024, during the brutal Texas heat, I accidentally overheated my SUV and completely blew out the engine. The tow truck driver told me it was "unrepairable" and suggested I start looking for a new vehicle. Still, I decided to get a few estimates on engine replacement--and every quote I got ranged from $5,000 to $8,000. Thankfully, a friend referred me to Joel, even though I live over an hour away. Let me tell you--it was so worth the drive. Joel and his team replaced my engine for only $2,400! The brackets were left in an acid tank way too long, and eaten up, then he had trouble finding replacements. I ended up with a butchered job, that I would have been deeply ashamed to have done, much less charged money for. Next time, I will take any radiator work to Bluff Street; I know they do good work. They surely don't care about presentation or the fact that you could drive over something and pop your tires. I was hearing a loud noise from my modified exhaust that didn't sound normal. Once we looked, we found that it was a missing bolt. They let it cool down and replaced the bolt. Then they decided to charge me $50 to replace 1 bolt. A little too high of a price for one bolt. Then they had me drive off the lift without any type of guidance. If my car would have fell off the side, I would have been very angry.
