I have seen the venue host everything from Comic Con and car shows to cheer competitions, volleyball tournaments, flight simulation expos, and oddities markets, and the flexibility of the space is a genuine operational strength. Restrooms are well placed throughout the building, and cleanliness was consistently maintained even during the high attendance event I attended. Staff were helpful and visible, which mattered when I was navigating a large event for the first time. The downtown Providence location works in the venue's favor for most visitors. Hotels are walkable, local restaurants are accessible, and the surrounding neighborhood is well maintained. After competing, we would all walk over to do some shopping. The convention center itself is pretty large, I'd say. I definitely have gotten lost a few times when trying to find the right rooms to go to. I always enjoyed going to events here. Very spacious and never had any issues. For parking, there are street parking spots, which I prefer since it avoids the parking garage fee but parking garage is always convenient.

Enter the walkway from Dyer St and on your right, cross the newly opened little bridge parallel to the river. You are now on the Urban Coastal Greenway to Point St. Park. Or, walk straight, cross the pedestrian bridge over the river, turn right and follow the walkway to a new open greenspace. Either way, these new segments of the East Coast Greenway bring green spaces, places to bike, walk, meet up, and be with nature by a running river. There are plans to bring even more food vendors to the park during warm months on the west side of the river by Dyer St. This is in addition to the food trucks that park on the east side by the pedestrian bridge already. Beer? Coffee? Music? Snack? This park is becoming the place to be.

Currently, The Guild PVD Beer Garden and various food trucks are there from May to October. There is also an ice cream vendor. The park connects with Point Street Park. The whole area is beautiful and well kept. A fun place to take a stroll, get some food nearby since it's central to everything, or food from the food truck, beers, and ice cream for dessert. When the weather is nice, this park is a great place to visit with beautiful views of the river and cityscape.

I tend to soak up the environment, so if I'm in a bustling coffee shop, then I'll want to become part of the bustle. Hence, finding an actual co-working space topped my list of to-dos. Luckily, I stumbled across Sprout on Yelp, and even luckier for me, they are one of the few places in Providence to offer a day pass! The pricing was incredible given the free (fast) WiFi, the access to multiple kinds of spaces (including my favorite hot desk area with sprawling desks and large windows--though there are other places to work closer to cubicles if that's your jam), and free coffee/tea. There's even a cute little cafe a few hundred yards away to grab some quick lunch (closes @ 2 pm). The parking was also free (score!), though the lots are shared with an apartment complex/other businesses, so be aware that you may need to circle around a bit to find a spot. Overall, it was a great place to get some work done, and I'd highly recommend checking it out if you're in town for the day/week, and if you need monthly plans (and conference rooms), they've got that, too! The Pawtucket Armory is a historic armory building at 172 Exchange Street in Pawtucket. I have…read moreattended several special events and talks throughout the years and the space is ample and well preserved. Being an older building in a busy urban area, parking is a bit of an issue. I wish they had a parking garage built close to it, so people can enjoy the venue and focus on the event, instead of having to deal with parking. One of the major works of William R. Walker & Son, this building was built in 1894-5. Built of red brick with granite and limestone trim, it has a distinctive main block, with crenellated towers at the corners, and is prominently sited near Pawtucket's central business district. From 2005 to 2010, the armory housed the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts. It is currently home to the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center. Every holiday season, they have their Holiday Crafts show that draws hundreds. The armory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

I was here for the first time during the RI Brew Fest. The large interior allowed for many vendors and partons alike. The one drawback is the facilities - bathrooms are an issue here, so with large crowds, that presents quite a problem. Parking, while available, isn't nearly as ample as the space itself, so that's another reason why I've docked it one star. However, I truly love this place and can't wait to host my own event here someday.

I really loved working out of The Hive. It's super laid back, quiet, and mad comfortable. At…read more6'4'' it's sometimes hard to get comfortable in typical seats, but The Hive has some many different kinds of chairs, couches, sofas, and table I found it very easy to be focused and comfortable all at once. My favorite part? Daisey their friendly dog was there! Oh! I lost my dog a year or so ago and it was really nice to pet a furry, friendly face. I'll be back to accomplish more tasks!

It can be rented out for a number of different things and I love that. They also have an attached gallery on the side- which is pretty cool to look at - always features something new and unique. I love some art! There's a massive parking lot, and it's very easy to find. I'm not sure if they still have art upstairs but I know at one point I seen art upstairs as well. This place is just massive I know I keep saying that. I really enjoy every event I come to here.

I have attended several work related events here and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The bartenders are very professional and efficient.
