For as long as I can remember I always wanted to learn Wing Chun. So when I saw there was a study near where I live I decided to try it out. I should have known that something was off when after calling the number, contacting my email and facebook I was completely ignored. So I saw that he advertised when the class schedule was (but each site had a different schedule) so I started going to the studio until I found a class open. It seemed I was more enthusiastic about learning than the teacher was about teaching. Almost had to beg to take class. Anyway I sign up for class pay $300 for 3 months and after the first couple of weeks immediately regretted it. All of the class except for myself had a t least 1 year of experience so the class was being taught at an intermediate level which I could not do. Imagine signing up to learn Algebra and getting taught Trig. You need a foundation to build upon and he had no desire to help me build that foundation. By the 5th week I was so far d\behind it was ridiculous. Studied for 5 weeks got maybe 3 decent days of training and never got money back. Teacher is very knowledgeable but just doesnt seem like he is fully there during sessions. Very disappointing read more

I took a class with this place a while back and I had to write this review eventually because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. A few years back I walked in and wanted to sign up for a month of classes. I was told by the instructor that I have to pay in full for the month if he is going to train me. So I pay him $75 and he gives me about 5 minutes worth of a lesson and walks away. At some point his hood-rat girlfriend who apparently lived with him in the studio where he taught started to give me instruction, but it was clear she had no idea what she was doing. After about an hour of not learning anything, the class ended and I decided "eh I'm sure the next classes will be better" I came back to the next class but I was not informed when paying for a Month's worth of classes that class was cancelled for the rest of the month due to the holiday (this was like December 5th or so). So basically the instructor stole $75 for a month's worth of classes, gave me zero instruction and then deliberately didn't tell me I was in the very last class of the year. When I tried to contact him about this he appeared to dodge my phone calls and was not reachable in any way. I am saying this so that anyone reading it can know that if you give this guy money, you will likely get ZERO return on your investment. Be wary and know that lineage is the most useless selling point anyone can ever give you to try to convince you to join a martial arts class of any kind. It's really the only thing they SAID they had, which said a lot about the situation there. read more

Had an excellent experience with Cinchon's Kung Fu. The instructor is knowledgeable and well-trained in Wing Chun - having made many trips to China to train with masters of the style. Standard membership pays for group lessons, which meet at least a couple times a week. Couldn't have been more pleased. read more
