With only 7 days' notice, Theresa was able to fit in our order and created a delicious and stunningly beautiful wild strawberry-buttercream-frosted, vanilla bean cake that was rich and the perfect size for 3 to 4 of us- we still have about a half a cake leftover after two days! We are dyed-in-the-wool Carvel ice cream cake fans, but can easily say this was the best cake we have ever eaten. She was up front about saying she had never done chai flavoring before but was up to the task. Lo and behold, this chai filling was crazy good and I can't believe a human being can make frosting taste that much like chai. CiCi's Cakery cakes are perfect. Theresa's talent is obvious. I can honestly say this is the Best cake I ever tasted. She was quick to reply to my questions/concerns and asked lots of questions to make sure the cake I needed was done right. Even when I had issues scheduling my pickup, she was understanding and accommodating. Theresa added that she uses top quality ingredients, bakes from scratch, and everything is made-to-order when I mentioned the price. She also said she uses a Swiss Meringue buttercream that takes twice as long to make and not your typical buttercream most bakers use. All of these are reasons why her cakes taste as good as they do. I wanted to add this information from her because I did not realize what I was buying at first. A cake is a cake, right? No, this cake was absolutely delicious and looked perfect. For this you will pay much more than regular bakery pricing. I would not agree this is a two $$ price point business. What I paid for a 6 inch cake for a wedding was a lot more than I expected for that price point. This business is more like a $$$ or more price point. Also when I made a last minute request, I was quoted an additional high fee on top of the high price I felt I was already paying. The only reason I knocked a star was because I felt it was a little deceptive to classify your business as reasonably priced when it is not. I initially based my inquires on the $$ price point. After harping on the price, and knowing what I know now I have to say I would do it all over again. No regrets. Highly recommend her. read more

First off, Theresa is very very nice. She took her time and explained everything to us when we called and gave her best suggestions. On top of this, she sent some more suggestions via email with photos. She answered her email within the hour and in the same night we were able to settle on the cake. We called on Thursday night to have a 9" blue velvet cake ready for Saturday morning. As promised it was ready as 1pm, she reached out to us with instructions for the cake and pick-up was a breeze. Everyone that had the cake not only admired the beautiful ombre design from top to bottom but everyone absolutely loved the blue velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. You can taste the real ingredients, it is not like any other cake. And honestly other 9" cakes we've ordered were average sized but the one Theresa prepared was fairly tall, a little extra bang for your buck!
