stone ground iced matcha latte with oat milk
    Nat L.

tucked into a tree lined plaza in the heart of downtown, ciclo espresso bar is a charming standalone kiosk that serves coffee, paninis, and snacks to nearby office workers and those strolling through. although the official address is 695 homer street, there's a sign that reads 401 west georgia, it's right across from the post building and in front of acquafarina. shaded by tall green maples and surrounded by bistro tables, it has a surprisingly relaxed vibe for such a central location. people were lounging at the outdoor tables, chatting over coffee or just enjoying a midday break. it feels like a hidden pocket of calm in the middle of the downtown rush. i ordered the stone ground iced matcha latte with oat milk, which was sweet, rich, and creamy, likely more from the oat milk than the matcha itself. it leaned more indulgent than earthy, but still refreshing and a nice change for the summer. a great little outdoor escape if you're in the area, perfect for grabbing something quick and enjoying a moment under the trees.

I had an absolutely delicious paninos and coffee here at Ciclo. The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly and the coffee is good. The patio section they have is super nice too. Definitely worth checking this spot out!

Terrific hot matcha latte (unsweetened), served with a smile in a cozy space with indoor and outdoor seating.

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

Enjoyed their drip coffee, it was delicious and kept me caffeinated and ready to crush my enemies. Got a box of beans for takeaway. The box belongs in an art gallery and makes for a lovely gift, but more importantly, the beans are quality. Naturally-lit, plenty of seating. Worth a visit if you're passing through Gastown. Bring friends. Or a date. Or both? Credit accepted. I'll be back for food, and maybe a cortado.

From the hostess to the manager, and especially the wonderful waiter, Anton, the kindness, warmth, and grace were unparalleled. There was such a genuine sense of care and attention throughout the morning, making the experience feel effortless and special. Maxine's is a beautiful reminder that when simple things are done exceptionally well, they can become truly memorable. A wonderful breakfast, a beautiful setting, and hospitality I won't soon forget. Thank you to the entire team at Maxine's for such a lovely experience

One thing noticeable about this restaurant is the lacking of plates. They used majority of their plates to serve the food on. However the food were served as finger foods and we were expected to hold our food in our hand. Somewhat strange. They also ran out of glasses during the party. The bartender couldn't even keep up with our drinks. Anyways other than the above. The event was a great event. I got the opportunity to try all four of their mocktails: - Blueberry Basil Lemonade - Mango Lavender Lemonade - Minty-Berry Sour - Pear Lavender Sour All their drinks were very fancy prepared and my favorite are the Minty-Berry Sour and the Blueberry Basil Lemonade. I also found that there is some inconsistency in the glass they serve it out of. The food was delicious as mentioned before. My favorite out of their finger foods were the grill cheese brisket. OMG that was really good. The other memorable items are the porkbelly and fried chicken. I think the fried chicken is one of their popular items on the menu served during brunch. The cheesecake at the end I got was very soft but flavorful. The cheeseburger slider was really good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere and decor of the place was nice. The restaurant is very small. Because we were over 100 people, there was a wait for the 3 stalls in the bathroom. There was not enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit. I think the restaurant can comfortably maybe accommodate around 40 or 50 guests max. I will definitely be back again someday to try their brunch menu.

My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. I heard the line up was up to 2 hours long later that day so to say that Angus T is a hit is a bit of an understatement. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!

I haven't really tried their pastries yet but I am looking forward to do so when I have a sweet tooth!
