Super delicious and filling portions! Everything was fresh, flavorful and very filling. (Not to mention reasonably priced- especially for the portion sizes!) I took a chance on something new tonight (Sopes) and was thrilled that I did. I loved it! The chicken was extremely tender and seasoned well. (I don't like anything overly seasoned or spicy, and this was perfectly balanced with flavor. The fresh lime added a nice flavor enhancing touch as well. The horchata was served cold and refreshing! It was like a guilty pleasure to drink. The chips were crispy and the guacamole was really nicely prepared, fresh, and delicious! (I could have eaten a bowl of it. It was so good!) The other individual in our party thoroughly enjoyed the tacos and their side of mole sauce. The food was promptly prepared and served hot. Our waitress was kind and efficient in her response to our needs. The restaurant had a small dining area but big enough to accommodate multiple tables. We were able to fully enjoy our meal without feeling rushed or crowded. We each drove about 30 minutes to get here and agreed that it was worth the drive. Ok, so for Mexican or South American restaurants, I have two simple tests. The first is, hit me with the salsa. Not literally, just let me try your salsa. Cielito Lindo has salsa its ok to average at best. The food was well prepared. It had a good to average flavor. The Salsa and Guc have a slight sweet flavor. The chips are delightful! The options on the menu are incredible. Overall the place is good but not great. Its on our list of places we will return to, but not on the places we have to go back to list! read more

The empanadas are to die for! We ordered food as pickup from here years ago but we hadn't dined in until just recently. Service was great, she was very friendly. The restaurant itself is decorated with a traditional Mexican charm. There's a few tables to dine in at and we ordered at the counter once we were ready. Food was quickly prepared and piping hot! I was in town overnight and I had no idea where to go to get some quick but fresh food. I saw this place from across the street. I picked up 3 steak tacos and a beef empanada. Outstanding! Decided to give this restaurant a try since we didn't want pub or tavern food. Their empanadas were yummy, and service was efficient! This was definitely a gem in this small fun town. It is family run and they are an amazing bunch. We ordered a few different tacos, amd the portions were great! We could have easily doubled our servings with the amount that we had on our plats. The taste was great. The cost was a bit high, but expected with the times. Very good place. The flavor of the food is very authentic I had the tacos Mexican style. You have to have the Mexican soda or horchata. If you don't know what horchata is, Google it to get a better explanation. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend this place for a first date. Visiting Kutztown for a wedding anniversary and was looking for a place to eat. Found Cielito Lindo in yelp and decided to give it a shot since it wasn't around when my wife and I attended college in the early 2000's. This place was in the old Subway sandwich shop. The food was great! Generous portions. Service was quick. Waitress was very attentive. Only knock I could possibly give was the place must not have a liquor license because they didn't have any alcoholic drinks and I was really craving a sangria. Horchata was good but it's definitely a different category of drink. Overall, I was impressed and would definitely go back. read more

I rarely ever leave negative reviews. I feel bad doing so. The 2 stars are for the kids who waitering here, they were nice. The food here was awful. Burrito was incredibly bland - couldn't tell visually or by taste the difference between the beans,, ,chicken or rice. I kept check to see if they forgot an ingredient,, and still wasn't sure what I was looking at. It's what I'd expect an old folks home in Wyoming would offer their comatose clients on "Mexican food Day." Mush.
