Horrible, just horrible! The hostess and busser were friendly, but the server was not friendly in the least, and the food was sub par. I ordered steak fajitas with charro beans and rice. There was no more than 6oz. of steak on the platter with a handful of onions and 3 slices of green pepper. I might as well have ordered the vegetarian fajitas. The guacamole was disgusting, as was the pico de Gallo. I would avoid this place. Try the hole in the wall down the road instead. read more

There are a few times in life I actually take out the time to write a review. But this place left me with no choice. My husband and I shared fajitas our charro beans came out differently mine were undercooked and my husbands over cooked. Our friends dinners came out completely wrong.We were served barely warm fajita meat raw tortillas. But the icing on the cake was when the general manager/ owner since he stated he was both when really he is the owner had the nerve to yell at my husband in front of other customers.. Refused to deduct anything off the bill and double charged us for and item we couldn't even read on our receipt. On top of they don't have a changing table in either bathroom, it's in the hallway to the bathroom where people could see you changing you child. Still customer service is supposed to be important you don't tell a customer "I do not care if you come back here it won't hurt my business in all 43 years of my experience we have never had a complaint". I'm sorry I've worked food industry before there is no way you don't have a complaint even top 5 star restaurants gets bad reviews now again. I would NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER GO BACK HERE. You don't sell customers raw food especially pregnant people!!!! I've been here a few times. I tried to talk to the manager about the poor service I received and he and the server argued with me. I asked the manger for separate checks for my alcohol and food because I have a corporate credit card and he told me no at first. I've been here 5 times on my travels and this will be the last. First off, we have been to this place on several occasions over a span of 5 years. Tonight's experience was enough for me to leave a review. Cleanliness or lack of. The women's restroom was not very clean and not all the stall doors locked. The door, I thought, was locked because the handle didn't move down. You have to PULL it up. The baby changing station was filthy! It could use a cleaning. The table next to us was dirty with the previous guests stuff for the first 20 minutes we were there. This area needs improvement. Service. We were seated immediately, however our waiter wasn't very attentive. CHECK YOUR BILL. He charged us for 2 drinks that we didn't order and forgot to bill us for a margarita. Food. We ordered the beef fajitas that were pretty forgettable. The "nachos con todo," that we ordered as an appetizer, was better than we had expected and better than the fajitas. The chips tasted like they were fried in old oil; not so fresh. In the past it was more of a 3 or 3.5 star experience, however it appears the quality has gone down. We will be going to Buccee's as an alternative from now on especially for the clean bathrooms. read more

I love this restaurant! Best Mexican food in the area. Fantastic fajitas (beef and chicken)...very tender, juicy and flavorful. It comes with plenty of accoutrements. In addition, I really like their salsa. It's tomatoey instead of being chipotle-flavored (too many places use too much chipotle and it creates an overly smoky flavor). The staff is super friendly and acommodating... onions ok, no onions ok, on the side, no problem. The food is almost like home cooking from San Antonio, TX. My wife and I are in town for a wedding and staying across the street at the Holiday Inn. The location of this restaurant was very convenient, we could have walked there. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly and it took very little time for our drinks to arrive (their sweet tea was pretty good). We had only a few issues with our experience: when we finished half of the bowl of verde sauce a soggy, whole chip was discovered at the bottom of the bowl (pulling anything from underneath our dipping sauce will always gross out my wife); I ordered the chicken taco salad and my chicken breast was completely burnt, diced and covered (burnt flavor throughout); and while we were there around 7:10-7:50, the waiting staff seemed very fatigued already and not very social. read more

I go here at least once a week, food is fantastic, very reasonably priced. Staff is polite. Love the Chees dip, love the tacos and enchilada. They have the best prices in town, and food is excellent. Only thing I would do to improve is to have a website, when they have discount coupons weather it be a free drink, or discount off a bowl of queso, regarless weather its the lunch menu or not. My husband and I have been going here ever since we started dating 5 years ago. We love the staff and the food. We almost never go on a Wednesday or Sunday, simply because our favorite waiter isn't there (and it is terrible to say, but I cannot remember his name). We have been here so many times that when we walk in and walk past the bar if the server is there he makes eye contact and asks "Two Italian margaritas on the rocks with salt"? and of course, the answer is always "yes!" They have the best Italian margaritas. We always sit in the "smoking section", not because either of us smokes, but because the rest of the restaurant is typically quieter (so if you like a little bit quieter, that is your section), however, the smoking section has TVs and my husband likes that. And there aren't usually many, if any at all, smokers in there. As far as the food goes... it is definitely above average Tex-Mex. We love the chips and queso. My husband and I will either share the beef fajitas for two (which includes everything you need!). Or he gets two fajitas with shredded beef and double rice (not because he doesn't like the beans, but because he Loves the rice!) and I will get the chicken quesadillas with refried beans -the bean soup is what comes with it, and it is really good, but refried beans are easier to take home and after margaritas, chips & queso I can usually only eat half my quesadilla and I take the other half plus rice and beans to go for lunch the next day! We live in Waller so Celito is definitely convenient for us, but I do know that a lot of people don't live around here and typically drive past. But if you get the chance you should definitely try it! read more

I tried to leave a message for the manager today (23rd), but the person who answered the telephone hung up on me. Not sure what was going on there. If only I could give negative stars. I ordered the summer plate. Guacamole,taco,tostada,chile con queso, rice and beans. It was a big plate of food and I wish I could say it was good. Bland, tasteless, except for the guacamole which was way too salty. I will never go back, and I live right down the road. How someone can make queso with absolutely no flavor is beyond me. read more

This is the best Tex-Mex food I've ever eaten! I've lived in Waller my whole life and this is always the go to place. I don't understand why there are those negative reviews from a few months ago... I've been going here since it opened about 11 years ago and never, I mean NEVER, had any issues with service or food. My food is always delicious, cooked perfectly. Meat is always seasoned great and you get large portions. I often take about half home with me. The service if anything is over friendly. We are always getting refills before needed. They are quick and some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered. If you have a special request they do it. I've never been told no! The margaritas are great and large for the price. The food is cheap and delicious. For two people I leave paying a little less than $25 and that's with sodas included. I have recommended many people to this restaurant and have always heard great things! read more

I've lived in Waller my whole life, and this is where I go for cheese enchaladas or sophapillas. I've never had a bad experience here. If anything the staff is over-friendly. We always get refills before we need them and we never ever get bad food. My grandma likes their half-order of nachos that I think she orders from the appetiser menu. The fajitas always smell good. Very nice atmosphere, normally quiet, no loud children running around. I've been there when they had a mariachi band walking around and playing, a real treat. Sometimes the food is good on some visits, other times - what happened to their chefs? Last plate of cheese enchiladas was dry. Cheese filling looked like shredded cheese inside of enchiladas instead of creamy and gooey cheese as it is suppose to be. Tacos and taco filling not what it use to be... The staff tend to cater to frequent or VIP customers, not so much to others who are passing through. I highly recommend for the owner or management to sit down and go over the food menu - it has changed a lot. Not the same tasting food as it once was few years ago. I've been coming here since 2005 and the other location in Bellville. Through the years I have gotten to know the people who runs the place and most of the people who work there. I like to eat away from Houston due to; you see the same crap all the time. i even rive all the way to a small town called SNOOK, TX just to eat T-BONE STAKES and see the sites as I drive. Here, the personal service I get is itself the best, for a large restaurant in a small town and it has been there all these years, they must have done something right. Most restaurnts don't survive 6 months. I like the margaritas! Of course the food. The only reason I share my ethnicity is because I feel it had a bearing on the service (I am a Latina, eating at a Mexican restaurant). I went by myself, was seated by a person named Filiberto, who immediately served my drink. I waited for the waiter to take my order, in the mean time a Caucasian group was seated next to me, and a Latino waiter serving the area in which I was seating immediately took their order, I was reading, was in no hurry, and didn't mind; but then, another Caucasian family was seated next to me, and the waiter immediately took their order. At this time, I was looking around, and saw Filiberto explaining to the manager that I was seated first, and had been waiting for a while, at the same time, a waiter by the name Alfredo saw me looking around, and came to my table, took my order, and was very kind and helpful, although he was not the waiter assigned to the area in which I was seated. They are lucky I was not in a mood for filing a discrimination lawsuit. Although I've been there several times, this was the first time I felt very uncomfortable and feeling like a second class customer. read more
